Personality:

Before anything, Jihoon is someone who's always very calm, very soothing. He won't get angry, especially for nothing and he really hates when someone is angry for little things without interest. Most of the time he stays quiet, doesn't really talk, he just smiles. You won't find tension in him, his eyes won't send you daggers. He talks louder when someone is being troublesome or mean to s/friends/family, but that's all. He thinks words are better than fists to settle things down. He's not stressed, even for exams, he takes everything with a calm... sometimes disconcerting. However, it can be very soothing before a performance. He'll be the one who'll prevent the members from being scared, besides, being an old grandpa compared to some members, his age is comforting. He's almost nonchalant, sitting in his sofa drinking coffee while s are 'arguing' for a tv program. He gets bored very easily because of that, he sighed often in these case and will wish for some peace. It's only if this argument is becoming rude or violent, not a frendly argument, that he'll react.

In front of the cameras, he'll be very mature. He has a professional side in him, he does what he is told to, and he always does his best. He never gives up and works very hard and he doesn't fear showing this. He doesn't talk much during the shows, he leaves this to the other members, and will simply wait for it to end. Though, if he's asked to talk, he'll answer politely what he was told to answer, with his usual calm. Fortunately, fans don't see him as this awkward butterfly he is, but as a guardian who has the role to watch over the members and their answers, leaving them the spotlight - which is kind of right.

Even if he's not stressed, he can get worried very easily when it comes to his friends. A simple lack of energy and he'll become like an overprotective Umma, asking if everything's alright, if he can do anything to help. Even if he pisses the person off, he doesn't care, he'll ask. He doesn't like seeing his friends being sad or feeling depressed. He can do anything to help them, even if it means sacrifice his own safety. If one of members is sick, for example, he'll stay with them all night and day without sleeping, until they feel better, even though he's sick himself later. He doesn't care at all. Because of that, he hates people who give up their friends when they feel bad. To him, friendship means being there everytime to support someone.

When he's confronted to his fears, he can become easily scared. For example, when he's in an elevator, he'll shake like a leaf, and he can even cry if it's long, or he can't bear movies with ghosts. He doesn't talk to anyone about these fears, even about his own problems because he doesn't want to be a burden to his friends, he doesn't want to worry them. Therefore, he keeps everything to himself and will hide his emotions. Otherwise, he'll say he's fine and will show a smiling and charming side. He's also extremely fragile when it comes to his family and he can start crying if the conversations are about fathers and brothers.

About feelings, he's quite the awkward boy. He doesn't really know how to deal with love and he doesn't really have a lot of experience in this field, despite his age. He doesn't really want to think about it and waits for it to come. If he has a boyfriend, he'll be very protective and caring, like a Teddy Bear. He's tactile and tender - with everyone, but especially with his lover - and he tends to let his eyes linger a bit too long on this boy. Family Background: 

Jihoon was born in a middle-class family, in 1989. He was the first child of the Jung family. When he was only 1, her mother gave birth to another boy. Jihoon never felt annoyed when his brother Taekwoon arrived, he was too young to realize and the attention was shared between the two of them, so that the older wouldn't feel neglected. As soon as the baby boy was able to think correctly, he started spending all his time with his little brother. The siblings, when they were growing up, were extremely close and liked spending time together, playing like the children they were. They didn't really care about the world around them.

Everything went quite smoothly, their parents were teaching them the good things to do and how to behave. They learnt good manners, how to help old people, how to be polite etc. They grew up without any big problems. They had a few money issues, but they always ended up finding solution and being happy. How could they not ? They all loved each other. It even caused problems sometimes, being the "model family". People were jealous of that, so they ended up having bad treatment. At this time, Jihoon was the one being bullied, being near to attend high school. Pupils are vile and mean and they don't realize how much their words can hurt someone. Jihoon used to be silent, he didn't say anything, he accepted the bullies and waited for them to stop. His few sincere friends helped him but this changed only when he was in high school. The fact was that he was handsome. Very handsome. After a bet with one of his friends, he ended up posting pictures of him on the internet. He became famous because of his looks and when he attended high school, he was known to be an ulzzang. He wasn't a bully anymore, he had a lot of fans and girls could go crazy for him. He didn't care, he stayed the same silent and shy boy. People learnt how to respect him and his family.

Soon, his parents had another money issue. Jihoon worked very very hard so as to obtain a scholarship and he joined some of his friends who played in the streets of Myungdeong to earn a bit of extra money. As a gift for his hard work, his parents encouraged him to audition for Jellyfish Entertainment. He became a trainee, he was 16. Between school and his hours of practice, he didn't really have time for himself, as his only time off was claimed by his brother. He would not give up his time with Taekwoon and he sacrificed his own health to deal with everything. He ended coming home tired and sleep 4 hours each night. It was too tiring for him, but he never gave up. Because of his lack of attention, he got involved twice in car accidents, being a collateral damage. The first one almost cost him his life, a car had run into the café he was in, killing two women and injuring Jihoon, fortunately not badly enough to kill him or to stop him fro moving more than a few months. The second one almost cost his brother's life and that was the time he decided he could not go on. He was so tired that he hadn't noticed the red sign for pedestrians. He started crossing the streets and his brother pushed him out of the way just when a car was coming, getting hit instead of him. Fortunately once again, the car wasn't going too fast, so Taekwoon ended up with only a few broken bones, but Jihoon felt extremely guilty for this and he grew even more protective towards his baby brother. He decided to leave the company and he got accepted in JIB Entertainment, where the hours would be more respectful of his health.

    Family Members:

- Jung Siwan ;; Father ;; They used to be very close, but Siwan passed away when his son was 20. He was very proud when his son told him he had become a trainee. He was very supportive of him and was always here to cheer him up. He knew he was gifted and he trusted him to become famous and to realize his dreams. Jihoon was extremely sad when his dad died and it's still a tough subject of conversation for him, he cries easily if he has to talk about him. 
- Kim Hara ;; Mother ;; They are quite close but his mother doesn't really understand why her sons want to live in the entertainement industry. She supports Jihoon and is proud of him, but she would like him to become a lawyer. They don't see each other a lot, as Jihoon doesn't really want to hear anything related to law anymore.
- Jung Taekwoon Leo ;; Littler Brother ;; Jihoon is an overprotective big brother, he has always been and he will always be. He loves his little brother more than anyone in the world and he would do anything for him. Even if Leo is even more awkward than him to show his feelings, Jihoon is the only one who can see the cute and tender side of the singer of VIXX. Leo really loves his big brother and when they're together, he doesn't leave his side. Jihoon keeps watching over him, he watches all the shows he is in, has all his cds, buys all the magazines he is in... Their phones are full of texts sent to each other. They are each other's confidante, and Jihoon can spend hours having phone conversations with his brother. He's really proud of him. They are jealous of people around the other and Taekwoon gets extremely jealous if he sees Jihoon being close to another member of VIXX !

     Friends:

- Jung Kiseok Simon D (Supreme Team) ;; They have a sunbae/hoobae relationship and met each other by chance in a restaurant. Lee Hongki happened to arrive some minutes later (Simon was waiting for him), and he introduced them. After this, they stayed quite close to each other and Jihoon calls him when he needs advices, even though he's not a rapper.
- Hwang Sanghyun (OC) ;; His first love and ex-boyfriend. He was a trainee at Jellyfish Entertainment like Jihoon and they clicked rapidly. They started dating and broke up when the boy left the company. They stayed friends but they don't have feelings for each other anymore. Yet, they are very tactile with each other and Sanghyun playfully flirts with him.

     Best Friend/s:

- Lee HongKi (F.T.Island) ;; They met when they were in middle school and became the best of friends, even though Hongki is one year younger. Jihoon often wonders how they became best friends because they are like day and night, Jihoon being the calm one and Hongki being the hyperactive one.
- Kim Hyunjoong Woobin (Actor) ;; The two were born together, raised together, attached by the hips like two siamese twins. Others parents at their school thought both of them were brothers, but they only were brothers of heart and partners in crime. They never left each other's sides from birth to high school, often bringing Taekwoon and Hongki with them. Though they both became famous, they kept in contact every day and took every opportunity to model together. They still keep in touch and have a special friendship, Woobin often watching his shows and buying his cds, while Jihoon watches all his dramas.
 

Trainee Background:

He was always working very very hard. In all honesty, he was a very bad dancer when he joined his first company and his sunbaes had told him that if he couldn't improve, he would be kicked out. They obviously couldn't make him debut if he didn't know how to dance. The only thing he could do was singing and fortunately for him, his impressive vocals really helped him at this time. He was the first one in the company in the morning and the last one who left the building at night. He spent hours practicing his dancing skills and he learnt rap. His company also made him have piano and bass lessons to improve his techniques. However, after a while, he realized that Jellyfish Entertainment was not for him. He was almost to the point of giving up because he couldn't take it anymore. He left and his brother begged him to audition somewhere else. He went to JIB Entertainment reluctantly and he got selected. He discussed with the managers what he could and could not do and they told him he would have to wait at least 2 years before debuting. They promised him that he would debute and wrote it in his trainee contract, so he started practicing again.

      Audition:

The first time he was casted, he was singing in the streets with his school band, he was the youngest and was at this time only 17 y.o (Korean age). He was playing the bass and singing some Kpop songs which were famous at the moment. His powerful vocals were perfectly used during ballads and he loved singing those. A man of Jellyfish Entertainment saw him and told him to come to audition at the company. He sang at this time "Timeless" by Zhang Liyin & Xiah Junsu. After 4 years, when he left, he auditioned for JIB Entertainment. He sang "Hurt" by Christina Aguilera and ended  up crying at the end of his performance because it made him remember his father who had died one year before.
