APPEARANCE : 

soojin is someone who likes experimenting, especially with colors. she currently has long dark blond/peach hair that reach the bottom of her back. she has done more experiments with her hair during uni than anyone would do in a lifetime. she's had short hair, long hair, bright blue, bright mint, black, polar blond... pretty much any color. up until her finals, she had long brown hair, but she decided to dye it peach blond. other than that, she doesn't have anything else standing out. she wants to get a tattoo but didn't do it yet for she's not sure of the design.

FASHION STYLE :

— whatever you say about soojin, the one thing you can't say is that her fashion is boring. she almost never wears black, she's always wearing bright colors and/or jeans. considering it's spring/summer, she usually wears crop tops and shorts. she likes graphic tees and fun accessories. she also loves oversized shirts and hoodies when she's in the comfort of the dorm. when she needs to focus on a painting or a mural, she usually wears short sleeves or crop tops again as well as comfortable army pants. most of her army pants are covered with paint stains that were to resistant to be washed out. she also has a big shoulder bag filled with sketch books, pencils, paint and brushes that she carries everywhere.

he's the first thing you notice about soojin is literally that you can't NOT notice her. she's a bright soul who's always doing something and having fun. you'll find her in the weirdest places : on a tree, under a table, anywhere. she's an artist and what caracterizes her is her endless imagination. she tends to have very weird ideas and most of them are just too weird to be done, but just the thought of them makes people laugh. she is someone who has a lot of love to give. another thing that you'll notice that goes along with her creativity is that she just has to be something. she's never idle, it's as if she just can't relax. not to say that she's hyperactive but she has to do something, she gets bored quickly if she's doing nothing. with that comes her very hardworking personality. when she's set on nsomething, she'll go till the end. she never gives up and always gives her 100% in every project she does. she also never backs down from a challenge and if no one understands her weird ideas, she'll do them herself. nothing is impossible for her. she loves exploring, trying new things and learning stuff.

she's someone who just enjoys life. she has her head in the clouds and is known to be a dreamer. she's always dreaming about the future and sometimes she needs to be brought back down to earth. though she is considered a bit weird sometimes, she's just a joyful and bright person. she's always smiling, saying hi to people. everyone on campus knows her and answer to her waves. she's just the social butterfly of campus, the bright artsy girl. even though she doesn't make friends, she just likes talking to people, even random people. she likes helping people. she's the type of girls who'll stop helping an old lady crossing a street. she's the bundle of joy. always smiling, laughing, making others laugh. she seems to never be sad and is great at bringing joy to others and is good at cheering people up. she's a bit too much sometimes : too loud, too bright - she doesn't really care. she doesn't care about what people think about her. she likes to see the good side of things and she can seem a lot naive sometimes because of that. she can seem a bit dumb and easy to use but don't be fooled. she's usually a pretty judge of character and no matter how nice she is, if she feels you don't have good intention, she'll kindly tell you to leave. she doesn't like bull and is always very honest with what she feels. she tends to not have a filter and if something bad needs to be said, she'll say it.

she's a bit private. she talks a lot about others and is generally a good friend : she doesn't look like it but she likes listening to people but doesn't remember everything. she just likes listening so much that she can't store everything. for example, she'll forget birthdays but she's forgiven becausee she'll just give gifts whenever she feels like it. she usually remember trivia from her friends but datees are just a no-no. one thing about her is that if she's so bright and loud, it's because she doesn't like silence. she feels oppressed and sje doesn't like being alone, except when she works. she doesn't like talking about herself and usually just ignores bad feelings until it explodes. she doesn't know how to deal with feelings of hate and anger, stress and fear make her shut down, just like love. she doesn't like crying in front of others either. she doesn't like making others unhappy and she feels like showing her tears will make people bored and frustrated with her. when it comes to explosion of feelings (people screaming for example), she gets very fidgety. she'll try her best to lighten the mood but if it doesn't work, she'll juste watch, completely lost. when it comes to love or things like this, she's extremely awkward. for work, she usually gets very self-critical and it takes her a long time to actually like what she did. she needs external opinion a lot and she values each criticism a lot, for her own opinion is always bad. 

BACKGROUND : 

soojin had a pretty simple life. she was born the youngest child of min byungwon and kim nayoung. she was part of a high middle class family and though her family never really struggled, that came with the fact that her parents worked a lot and were not home a lot. her father, a tv reporter, travelled a lot for his work and her mother, an famous violinist, was also often abroad to perform. yet, soojin and her brother, yoongi, never felt bad about it, for whenever their parents were home, they spent all of their time with them. both parents made sure to show their children how much they loved them and the two kids appreciated it. 

at home, the key words were to have fun and to enjoy life. having two peculiar jobs, the parents always told their kids to follow their dreams and give it their everything. it was no surprise, with a music-lover mom, that the children would be inclined to follow art careers. yoongi fell in love with music while soojin fell for painting. they were lucky enough to have no pressure for their careers and their education. their only condition was to do well at school, which the kids did pretty well (though soojin was definitely not a fan of maths...). 

growing up with her brother made him her role model. she loved watching him work and it gave her a strong work ethic as well. after her brother graduated from yeong-ung, she decided to follow his footsteps and join the university as well, hoping to reach her goals and accomplish her dreams. 

LIKES :

— Tea | she's a fan of sugary flavors and she particularly enjoys floral and fruit teas.

— animals | she loves animals, especially cute fluff balls like rabbits and exotic birds.

— DRAMAS | she loves dramas, she's a huge fan of Lee junki and watched all of his dramas. her favorite ones in general are historical dramas.

— MUSIC | she loves listening to music and likes pretty much all genres. she especially likes songs she can dance to, so it can be pretty much anything. 

— ANIMATION | she loves animation movies, they're her favorite. she's a very big disney fan and could sing any disney song you ask her. her favorite disney movie is aladdin and she's obsessed with its songs.

— VIDEO GAMEs | she loves video games but is absolutely terrible at it. she enjoys watching people play it just as much as she likes playing herself - but definitely, she likes coop games where she can just have fun. 

DISLIKES :

— romance | she hates romance dramas with a passion. she finds them just cringe.  

— grades | being an art major, any kind of grade just doesn't make sense to her. she hates being graded, she feels liike it's just a number and doesn't help her improve. 

— BALLADS | she just loves all kinds of music but ballads are just a genre she doesn't identify with. 

— BLOOD | she doesn't deal well with blood.

— hypocrisy | she's someone who's honest and she'd much rather have someone be brutally honest with her than hearing lies and realizing later on that that person thought something else. 

— ALARM SOUND | probably why she's always late...

 

HOBBIES :

— EXPERIMENTING | she draws a lot, but she's especially focused on painting more than drawing. she absolutely loves painting and she loves experimenting with different kinds of paints : watercolor, gouache, acrylic... anything is good for her to play with.

— VISITING MUSEUMS | this is one of her go-to places when she needs a break. just walking with music in her ears and discovering new art pieces is something she loves to do.

— FILMING ART VIDEOS | she actually has an art channel on Youtube, called peachysoo, on which she films herself painting various projects. she doesn't advertise it much and hoonestly doesn't check the numbers. she doesn't even know how many subscribers she has. she has videos of herself painting with watercolor in different artsy coffee shops, or videos that chan filmed of her working on street art. 

HABITS :

— TARDINESS | she's always late. her friends made it a habit to text her a fake meeting hour so she'd be on time. 

— DRAWING | she has a sketchbook in her bag to be able to draw whenever she can.

— MUSIC IN ME | she listens to music 24/7 and she needs music to fall asleep.

FEAR :

— BLANK PAGE | she is absolutely terrified of the moment she's facing a blank canvas and no idea comes to her. similar to a writer's block, it doesn't happen often but it is enough to send her into a nervous breakdown.

— BLIND EYES | obviously, watching the world is key to her art. if she was unable to see, she feels she'd lose all purpose in life. her worst nightmare is blindness.

— STAGE FRIGHT | she's in her own world and she's always joyful, but when she needs to speak in public, she gets paralyzed. she has a terrible stage fright and will do everything in her power to avoid doing speeches.

— HORROR MOVIES |  her one weakness : horror. she hates everything gore and such, but horror movies about ghosts or curses in particular are terrifying to her.

TRIVIA :

— her dream is to own a small gallery that would feature new artists and a lot of different genres. she would also build it inside a coffee shop so people could create and see artworks while being relaxed with a cup of tea.

— she has a green hand, she's good at taking care of plants.

— she wants a parrot pet.

— she dances when she cooks but she doesn't really realize it.

— she's not a bad singer but never sings in public.

— first thing she does in the morning is take a shower.

— she usually listens to songs on repeat, but it can be rock one day and kpop the other day. the songs she listens to are pretty random. some of the songs on her current playlist are "fever" by dua lipa and angele, "mädchen von haitabu" by santiono and "zitti e buoni" by maneskin.

BIG BROTHER | min yoongi / music producer / 10

yoongi was always her first fan and especially her first best friend.. they were very close from childhood and used to always be together. as their parents used to work a lot, the siblings spent most of their time together and yoongi kind of raised her. he was the one who gave her the love for art, though she wasn't focused on music. he was always very proud to see his baby sister's talent and in a way, he also always loved the attention she would give to his own work. she loves her brother very much and all of her works go through him for validation. she is the most anxious of his opinion and values it more than anything. he is her greatest supporter (don't say that to chan) and always wants to push her towards her dreams. they have similar personalities though she's not as snarky as he is. she is probably responsible of most of his changing hair colors (with or without his consent)...

 

 

 

BEST FRIEND | bang chan / music production major / 10

she met chan at the beginning of elementary school. the boy has just transferred from australia and was really shy to be in his new school. being the social butterfly she is, soojin didn't even hesitate to go and see him. their beginnings were difficult with the language barrier, they tried so hard to understand each other that they developed an unrivaled communication. soojin helped him with his korean and chan helped her with her english. the two of them just stuck together from elementary school to college. meeting her brother was what he needed to push himself to study music production and soojin is his number one fan. the two of them consider each other as platonic soulmates, two parts of one soul. she makes sure he doesn't momify in his studio and forces him to get out, while chan is always there to help her get out of her slef-doubt cycles. he gives the best advices and is an amazing listener. chan is her go-to person and she can't live without him. he is the only one who's aware of her muse and helps her as much as he can with her exhibition. those two are always seen together on campus and some people even mistake them as a couple. for students, it is a given that those two will go to prom together but they never asked each other. if anything, chan is pushing her to ask her muse for a date, but has no luck for the moment.

choi byeol is an enigma for soojin. somehow, soojin feels bad for her and is curious about her. she sees her so focused on her work and she respects that, but she has this nagging feeling that she buries herself in work so as not to open herself to the world. soojin is determined to break that barrier and make her happy. she just has this feeling that she needs to open up and soojin wants her to know that if she wants to try it out, she's here to take her hand and help her. but soojin also feels a bit awkward around her, especially when san is mentioned. she tries to act as if nothing is wrong but she also worries that byeol will notice her crush on her twin brother. 

 

 

THE MOTHER | HAN HYOJOO (collab with _Halcyon_) / nurse major / 7
/ helpful, caring, organized, motherly, worrywart, naive, naggy /

soojin is a bit of a reckless soul, so for the nurse in training, she is a regular patient. from scratches to headaches, hyojoo has been patching up our poor soojin who doesn't know when to stop. soojin is a bit of a big sister for her and she worries a lot about her. hyojoo is always a calming presence for the older girl who finds her motherly attitude really heartwarming. the painter also worries about her as she's always taking care of others without taking a break. sometimes, she just likes to hang out with her and to force her to go out and have fun, even if it's just hanging out at a park to eat ice cream or visit museums together.

soojin was not sure of the beauty at first but she was definitely shown that dramas are not true, the beauty can be something else than a piece of . for some reason, she is someone that soojin feels slightly shy in front of. she is envious of her a lot but really really likes her for her personality. soojin is bright and loud and awkward, far from the calmness and kindness of the other girl, and she wishes that she's be a bit more like her. she is someone soojin looks up to and sometimes wishes she was like her and not so weird.

for some reason, soojin really likes her and she wants to help her open up to the world and discover what it can offer. she is the one who pushes her to drop her book and do other things. she also really enjoys the peacefulness of her company. when the nerd is reading under her favorite tree, soojin is usually perched on a branch drawing. the nerd can make her relax and soojin also offers her a company that is not pressuring.

 

THE FIGHTER | tba / tba / tba / 2

soojin is usually not prone to anger so she doesn't understand how someone can get so angry. she is not one to actually dislike someone but the fighter is the closest thing to dislike she can get. she tried to make her play, laugh or smile but was rejected each time. she doesn't know why, but the fighter seems particularly violent with her and it makes her feel really awkward. she's the only person with which she becomes defensive and actually fights as well. she's asked to know the reason of why the fighter hates her so much but never had any answer. those fights tend to have soojin really overwhelmed and she usually needs to leave the room. it has been close to bring her to tears several times. 

 

THE TALKATIVE | tba / tba / tba / 8

they have similar personalities and actually get along pretty well. they both have quirky personalities that go well together and soojin just loves having someone to talk to. she doesn't get tired of her and she's probably the one she's the closest too amongst the girls. she likes to have her around when she works on big pieces like murals because she keeps her company and helps her actually relax. they are the mood makers of their little group and both enjoy spending time together.

 

THE MYSTERIOUS | tba / tba / tba / 2

they barely know each other. soojin has tried to approach her before but it never worked. she never stopped trying, at least she doesn't change how she is when the mysterious is around and she tried to at least make her smile. she makes a point to always greet her to let her know she's not forgotten and that she can reach her.

sport is not her thing but she likes the jock's determination. she makes a point to come support her as best as she could and if she can't go, she'll graffiti her support if she needs to. soojin has a lot of respect for her and even though they're different, she likes her.

 

 

LIFE IN YEONG-UNG

NORMAL SCHOOL SCHEDULE : 

— she's a dreamer. she never misses a class but is always late. honestly, had teachers not grasped her personality, she could be one of those hated students but fortunately, they mostly seem to like her and just find her weird. she doesn't always listen in class and can be spacing out, but she always hands good work and has great opinions and insight. teachers like her despite her dreamy side and her tardiness because she's always showing how hard she works and she often goes to them for advice on how to improve. she usually stays after class because she's so focused on what she's doing that she doesn't realize class is over (teachers gave up on making her leave).

 

EXTRA-CURRICULARS : 

— as part of the art major, she and a group of other students are part of an art club who is in charge of regular street art exhibitions in the schoool gallery. as for the months leading to the prom, she has also been commissioned by the college to paint murals inside and outside school (she was doing it anyway so might as well make it official) to put some colors in their prom.

 

she is part of an extra event made for senior fine art students before prom : it is a series of special nights for them to exhibit a special and original collection. it is a way for them to promote themselves and reach out to famous galleries and artists. she is schedules to do her own exhibition night one week before the prom.

DORM LIFE : 

— she's honestly not seen much in her dorm, as she's always outside drawing or in the school's studio to work on her project and on the prom's mural. whenever she's there, she's the mood maker, always making sure the chores are done with happiness. she likes hanging out with people in the common rooms and is often a bit too loud but she doesn't mean hearm. 

 

her side of the dorm is a mess, brushes and paint everywhere, canvases as well. it's clean though. she's a bit of a mess herself so don't ask her to clean (she can't keep up a schedule so don't even bother...), but she's a really good cook. and to be fair, she's very good with her hands, so she's usually the one the girls go to when something is broken and needs to be fixed. 

LIFE OUTSIDE OF YEONG-UNG : 

— when she isn't in school, she is usually either at a coffee shop or outside in various locations. she enjoys going out and drawing outside, so the whole city is a work place for her. considering she is pretty busy with yeong-ung, she doesn't do much. she used to tutor young kids and give art classes to children but had to quit during her senior year. she regularly goes outside to visit new trendy places, goes to museums etc, and regularly visits artsy coffee shops to film her youtube videos.

COMMENTS : hi ! this took a while, i hope you'll like her ! i originally wanted to apply for a mysterious artsy kid but as an art student who could fit in the mysterious plotline's personality myself, i kinda wanted to make her opposite to me lol and the bright bubbly weirdo just grew on me :p i also want to apologize for any english mistake as it's my second language. so well, here we go ! tell me if there's anything i need to change :)
