Clothes & Shoes
"Sometimes I just don't get her. She has all the clothes a girl could want and yet she never wears them. I mean, come on!"
- Kang Yeon Hee {Younger Sister}
Hee Young doesn't dress to impress unless necessary. She won't wear a fancy dress just to go shopping -in fact she doesn't really shop at all. She picks the first thing she sees out of her closet and just remembers to pull on her favorite -and lucky- jacket {1} before heading out. She loves jeans and checkered patterns {1, 2, 3} so it isn't a surprise to see one piece of her outfit checkered. She also likes beanies and sneakers -especially one bought by her mother {1}. If she had to wear a dress or had to dress to impress, she would wear simple, modest, and elegant attire -which she kind of has a love-hate relationship with {1, 2, 3, 4}. However, if you dare force her into one of those suffocating contraptions they call a corset dress, she will hang you literally and sue you for attempted murder.
Hair & Makeup
"I liked her long hair because I could play with it. Now, I can't..."
- Kang Yu Hee {Younger Sister}
Hee Young also doesn't style her hair much. At most, it will be in a messy bun, braid or a ponytail. Very rarely will you see her style her hair. Sometimes she does straighten her hair but it's mostly because she had a stubborn curl that wouldn't stay in place after brushing her hair. She grew her hair out {1} over the summer but cut it before school started {1}. But she's growing it back out over the whole school year. She wish she could dye her hair so that she could stand out but she knew that her father wouldn't allow it.
"I like her natural face. It's pretty like an white cake."
- Moon Jong Up
For makeup, Hee Young doesn't put on much but she will never leave her house without applying lip balm. Since her lips crack easily, she carries around a stick of lip balm in her purse. There might be times when she forgets and her lips crack but that's when she's immensely busy and tired. She always uses cherry lip balm {1}. She prefers to keep it natural and doesn't like caking her face with makeup -that and the fact that her face turns red like she caught the chicken pox if she applies makeup.
Jewelry
"Stand up for yourself, Hee Young. Be strong. Be courageous. And love."
- Ahn Yu Ji {Late-Mother}
Hee Young always wears a gold heart locket {1} around her neck as a memory of her late-mother. She has two piercings {1} on both ears and wears a fake silver ring {1} on her third finger which was given to her by her little sister, who found it and another similar ring in a cereal box and made Hee Young promise not to take it off unless necessary. She wore glasses {1} before but doesn't now since she wears contacts.
Special Features:
"Tsk, tsk, tsk. What is this? Daddy's little girl getting a tattoo! What's next? She dyes her hair green and joins the circus?!"
- Kang Hee Jun {Older Brother}
She has a little butterfly tattoo on her hip bone {1} as a little act of rebellion towards her father. Nobody but her and her older brother, who drove her to the tattoo parlor, knows about this. And she has a small beauty mole on her collar bone.

Gettin' Serious
i keep thinking about you.
Persona > Angel, Confident, Presumptuous, Tricky, Klutz
Personality
Angel
"She's the little angel in front of appa, but when it is beyond the family, she's a little minx."
- Kang Yeon Hee
Angel is one word to describe Kang Hee Young if she's in front of her father. No, she doesn't have a split personality nor does she turn into some kind of witch behind her father's back. But she does make sure that she is daddy's little girl and obeys his every single word...except for that one time but we'll get to that later. Anyways, Hee Young can be an angel -by angel, I mean, utterly kind, gentle, graceful, like a princess- in front of her father, her family, relatives, and even in front of certain people.
"Isn't our dear Hee Young such a lady? She resembles her mother in many ways."
- Kang Hee Bum
With her father, family, and relatives, she transforms into an angel because she doesn't want to tarnish her father's name and burden him. She endures the painfully boring "rich people" parties and torture devices they call corset dresses along with the unbelievably ten-inch (no, not really) high heels for her father's and family's name. Since she knows how cruel and judging her relatives, who have always been living the high life unlike her family, can be.
"You know, there are many things that I hate in this world. But none of them can compare to your aegyo."
- Kang Hee Jun
In front of others -strangers or even friends and sometimes siblings-, she only transforms into an angel when she wants and/or needs something. Pulling out her guts and glory and pushing away her embarrassment, she unleashes her ultimate weapon (Chances of success is 99.9%): Aegyo + Puppy Dog Eyes + Buing Buing = GLORY TO KANG HEE YOUNG. And Hee Young always gets her way because you can never resist those eyes. If you do, it's like you rolled over a harmless puppy and let it rot there while you drive away feasting on McDonalds. Inhumane, right?
Away from those stuck-up parties and murder weapons called dresses...Kang Hee Young isn't very angelic at all...
Confident
"I wish I had unnie's confidence. That way I can stand up for myself."
- Kang Yu Hee
They always say confidence is key. And confidence is good. It helped Hee Young stand up to those bullies in elementary school. It helped her be very opinionated and well-spoken. It helped her when she did speeches or when she did projects...well, if the teacher could notice her presence. And confidence helped Hee Young achieve a lot of accomplishments in life like getting awards, taking dares, doing the impossible, etc. But confidence for Hee Young is a curse and a blessing.
"She's so confident of herself that she's just so stubborn to listen to others especially when she knows they're right."
- Zelo
As a curse, Hee Young's confidence has been the main factor that placed her in trouble's way. Sometimes she caused it herself, other times it's because of her that she's at the wrong place at the wrong time. She has always been confident of herself and her actions that she only listens to her instincts, heart, and mind. She's stubborn and refuses to listen to others. Always charging ahead at the problem like a bull, she believes that she is doing the right thing when in actuality, she isn't. She has always wanted to be independent and doesn't like burdening others or others burdening her. As a result, most of the time, her actions, which are based from her instincts and thoughts, tend to place her in trouble.
Presumptuous
"I can't believe-I can't even-Why?"
- Kang Hee Young
Presumptuous describes a person, who jumps to conclusions easily. And that is exactly who Hee Young is. Her confidence doesn't help this one bit. She tends to believe what she sees and what she hears. Gullible? Eh. Naive? Maybe. Innocent? Hell to the no. Presumptuous? Bingo. Because of her ego, which her confidence boosts up, is as large as Antarctica, she doesn't listen to others easily. It takes a lot to make her sit down and listen to you explain the situation. By a lot I mean, tie her up, lock her in a room, duct tape , and start talking. This is the worst attribute about her because she can cause unnecessary scenes and overreact pretty wildly. If she's with her family or with her father, she holds it in and then explodes later on in her room.
Tricky
"Ice cream? Check. Gold paint? Check. Fake mouse? Check. Zelo, my sidekick best friend? Check. This will get me noticed for sure."
- Kang Hee Young
A prankster is who Hee Young is. She has all these crazy ideas and pranks that appear out of her imagination stored in her head. And she uses these to try and get herself noticed. Not only that, she pranks everyone whom she meets. It's like her way of saying she likes you (Romantically and platonically) or wants to be friends with you. If she doesn't pranks you, she either hates you or doesn't give a damn about you. The more pranks she pulls on you, the more she likes you. So I believe you can see how hellish the life of the Kang siblings are.
BUT the weird fact is that she never gets noticed and everyone always thinks it is some other student. She never gets noticed no matter what...well, except a few people do.
Klutz
"You can take away all the obstacles in an obstacle course but that never stops Kang Hee Young from tripping over air."
 Lee Sung Yeol
*Sigh* 60% of Hee Young's life is filled with endless tripping over air. How does it happen? No clue. However, the cutest thing is that she always stands up with a stupid contagious smile on her face. She doesn't care if she's a klutz. Besides, it does help her get noticed right? ...Okay, maybe not. But all the more, Hee Young doesn't care about falling on the ground unless someone did it on purpose like pushing her, etc. She doesn't like bullying since she had a horrible past experience with it but nevertheless she still wakes up everyday with a grin plastered across her face. This leads her to be very apologetic as well since regularly someone else will join her on the floor due to her clumsiness. But that doesn't mean she apologizes to every single thing; She just apologizes to everyone and anyone when she causes someone to fall -unless she did it on purpose then well... The only time she isn't a klutz is when she does ballet.

Family
you are my sweet dreaming.
Family:
"I-I'm sorry, Hee Young...I can't come...I love you..."
Father | Kang Hee Bum | 49 | April 16th, 1964 | CEO of Famous Technology Company | He truly loves and cares for his children but because of his work he can't spend much time with them. He's rather strict and protective especially over his daughters. He doesn't know that Hee Young is trying to pretend that she is graceful, elegant, etc. for his sake. On his free days, he will make sure that the whole family is gathered together. | Even though they aren't that close because of his job, he still tries his best to make time for the family | 2.5
"Aw, is my wittle bittle Hee Hee mad at moi?"
Older Brother | Kang Hee Jun | 21 | December 2nd, 1992 | Student at Seoul National University | He's annoying -well to his siblings. He loves to tease his little sisters everyday and humiliate them whenever he can. However, he's a little cocky and tries to act suave in front of the ladies. Nevertheless, he is still the heartthrob of SNU.  | He loves to and make fun of her but actually he's really overprotective | 4
"Why does she get more ice cream?"
Younger Sister | Kang Yeon Hee | 13 | December 29th, 2000 | Student at Su Nae Middle School | She's a quite childish and has a temper. She looks innocent but she's as mischievous as Hee Young. Even though she's a little jealous at the attention Hee Young always gets, she loves her big sister very much.  | She's slightly jealous of Hee Young but still loves her all the more | 3
"Unnie! Unnie! Unnie! Unnie! Unnie!"
Younger Sister | Kang Yu Hee | 9 | February 29, 2004 | Student at Su Nae Elementary School | She's very naive and imaginative. She's the apple of Hee Young's eye and the little Maknae of the family. She looks up to Hee Young a lot. She's the cutest thing ever. She gets bullied at school because of her status as a rich kid but Hee Young doesn't know. She wants to learn how to be strong so that's why she tells nobody. | She believes that Hee Young is the best older sister ever | 5
Relationships:
"Wait a minute...I'm a man! Why am I the Bond Girl and you James Bond?! I DEMAND AN ANSWER, KANG HEE YOUNG!"
- Choi Jun Hong
Choi "Zelo" Jun Hong | 16 {Almost 17 since his birthday hasn't passed} | October 15, 1996 | Junior+Dance Major | Jun Hong was the always playful but he never met someone even more childish and sneak than himself. Those two are the epitome of trouble and it's the sad fact that Hee Young's best friend gets all the attention. These two are close and they have little childish tiffs that usually end with a happy Jun Hong and Hee Young drinking bubble tea together. The wonders of bubble tea! Anyways, they are kind of like the comical version of James Bond and his Bond Girl...with Jun Hong being the Bond Girl and Hee Young as James Bond. Jun Hong plays as Hee Young's sidekick, best friend, and little baby all in one package. | Absolute Best Friends and Her Bond Girl | 4.6
Among the girls:
Hee Young is full of poise and elegance around the richer girls. She has a very stiff position and she looks like she's very uncomfortable. But she can still maintain a conversation with them. However, if she's around the other girls (girly girls), she can't hold a conversation with them because she doesn't do girly. She doesn't read fashion magazines and spazz about the newest edition of Gucci. But if she's around less girly girls (girls around the skate park, tomboys, general tough girls), she'll be all cozy with them and she'll be less stiff and laugh more as well as joke around more.
Background:
Childhood {1-12}
On April 3rd 1996, Kang Yu Ji gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Kang Hee Young. She was born into a rich family and of course was showered with luxuries. Ever since young, Hee Young was taught to be the most graceful and gentle lady ever. She took "princess" lessons everyday and endured the painful hours of sitting straight and walking with a book on her head. But she didn't lose her childhood. In fact, she was a tough nut to crack and such a rebel. She had all the nannies packing their bags.Her prankster behavior appeared and nurtured ever since she was at the young age of three.
When she turned four, a new addition entered the family. Her little sister, Kang Yeon Hee, was also showered with love but definitely not as much as the first born daughter. Yeon Hee grew up in the shadow of Hee Young and she didn't like that at all. As much as she tried to detest her, Hee Young always made sure that her parents were taking care of Yeon Hee as well. Thus, Yeon Hee's efforts to despise her sister failed but a tinge of jealousy was still there.
Seven years old is the age when Hee Young entered elementary school. On the first day of school, she appeared in a black limo that caught the eye of the majority of the students. She exited gracefully as usual (due to the years of practice) and made her way to school, excited to meet new friends. But the kids didn't like that. They didn't like how she pranced into school like a little princess and they envied her status while they were below her. And so, little Hee Young's hopes were crushed when everyone didn't want anything to do with her and absolutely despised her. And it didn't help that her older brother was the Kang Hee Jun, who was still a little heart stealer even back then.
And then the bullying started. The older kids picked on Hee Young but acted as if they were friendly towards her. They threatened her to keep shut and Hee Young did. She didn't tell anybody about her misery. She just kept it all in. For the rest of her elementary school life, this continued and after her brother graduated, it became worse. Nobody liked the rich kid.
When she turned eight, Kang Yu Hee entered the family. Despite the problems at school, she was still delighted that she had another little sister. However all good things must turn bad.
Teen Years {12-17}
When Hee Young graduated elementary school, she thought that maybe she could restart at her new middle school. Again, her hopes were crushed. It was the exact same experience in elementary school, except for the fact that the girls were more bold and the boys more rowdy. A month of bullying was enough for Hee Young. One day, she was getting pushed around by the girls at the school. When they took it too far and they accidentally threw her necklace that her mother gave to her out the window, she snapped. She fought and fought hard.
The next day, she was sent to the office of course and suspended for fighting. Her parents lectured her and grounded her but Hee Young rebelled. She was in that phase. That adolescent phase were they were still confused about life and curious as well. Well, Hee Young was stuck in that phase. She had a bad relationship with her parents and barely spoke to her siblings. She hung out with the wrong people and became the bully of the school and not the bullied. She had a horrible reputation and was failing all her classes.
At the same time, Kang Yu Ji was diagnosed with leukemia. Everyone in the family knew but Hee Young. She was so distant towards the family that she didn't care for any problems at home. Yu Ji was having a hard time definitely and not being able to see her daughter anymore and watching her change took a toll on her.
One day, Hee Young came home early but she was about to head out again when she found her mother on the floor with bruises all over her body. On the kitchen table was a cake with the words 'Happy Birthday Hee Young' written halfway. Realizing the situation, Hee Young called the ambulance while crying and she embraced her mother in panic. At the hospital, she was confused as to why had her mother fainted and why were there bruises on her body. Her brother grabbed her by the shoulders and screamed at her, reprimanding her for everything that she had done. She realized that she had been too distant. And that she didn't even know that her own mother was diagnosed with leukemia. Breaking down, Hee Young ended up repenting for all her mistakes at the foot of her mother's bed.
Hee Young changed from then on. She improved in her studies and stayed home more often. She caught up with her family and spent most of her time at the hospital with her mother. The only time she ever resorted to violence again was when she protected a small kid (who ended up towering over her) named Choi Jun Hong from being beaten up by the school bullies. And that was when Hee Young was fourteen. Ever since then, life for Hee Young wasn't that bad anymore. Sure, she was still bullied slightly but with her best friend, Jun Hong by her side, it was nothing.
When she turned fifteen, her father transferred her to Cherry Blossom High School which was in Seoul, which also meant that Hee Young had to take the bus to School everyday for two hours. And Hee Young wasn't a morning person. The only good thing was that she'd be away from bullies and Jun Hong was going to that school as well. However, her father specifically told her that she wasn't supposed to make a scene. He didn't want her to be bullied again (because of her status) so he told her to act like a wallflower. Hee Young didn't particularly like that but she had no choice but to obey. So for two years of her life, she acted like a wallflower and she succeeded. No one in the entire school except for Jun Hong knew her.
Current Age {17}
But Hee Young was getting sick and tired of being the wallflower. She wanted to be known. So, at the very start of the school year, she proposed to Jun Hong that she was going to catch the school's attention in every way possible. Of course, Jun Hong the ever innocent and naive agreed and became her accomplice *coughbondgirlcough* in her little escapades. She played every prank possible and she can still come up with new ones. However, all the credit went to Sung Yeol, the class clown, who always denied it but no one believed him anyway.
Meanwhile, Hee Young also made some new friends like Zelo's ring of friends, B.A.P. And she also made friends with Myung Soo, that kid who takes exceptional photos. And she also got to meet his best friend, who was no other than Lee Sung Yeol, the class clown.
Lifestyle:
Side Jobs
Hee Young works at a bubble tea shop part time even though she doesn't have to. She wants to be independent by herself. Zelo would always hang out there so that he would get free bubble tea in which Hee Young would always try to deny him. But his aegyo is too strong.
Where does she live
She still lives with her family but she kind of wants to move out. She likes looking at properties especially apartments.

One And Only
"I hate you so much. How can you be so nice?"
- Kang Hee Young
Moon Jong Up | 18 | February 6th, 1995 | Seoul, South Korea
Persona > Awkward Dancer ---> Hangs out with his circle of friends B.A.P but mixes around a lot; not exactly kingka popular but just well-liked
Personality >
The Good
He's caring, sweet and Mr. nice guy. You can never deny this cutie pie. He's just so kind and Hee Young appreciates his help whenever she needs it. After meeting each other, she and Jong Up were very close. They realized that they had something in common: dance. She could always depend on him for something and he didn't seem to mind the amount of trust she put into him. He was considerate and a gentleman even though he could be slightly awkward at times.

Other than being nice and cute, Jong Up was always on her side and always defended her.  Jong Up was easy to talk to. You could drone on and on about peas and corn and yet he would still listen to you. He had great amounts of patience and positivity. He was adorable and sometimes his little awkward and happy-go-lucky personality made her laugh. She always smiled brighter when she hung out with him.

He understood her. He understood her fight to be noticed and always covered her eyes and ears whenever violence happened in front of her. His consideration was the most appreciative quality of his. He had an innocent and curious nature of his that is adorable to her.

She loved his smile. Yes, she knew he put on fake smiles sometimes but when he genuinely smiled, it was breathtaking. She loved it when he was truthfully happy. He was just a ball of positivity and she really needed his positivity when her pranks don't work. She thanked him for being the light of her world.

The Bad
He was too kind to the point of annoyance. He couldn't see when a person didn't need help. As much as Hee Young would try to placate him, sometimes she couldn't take it anymore and would tell him that she didn't need his help. He didn't allow her to be independent which was something she wanted to become. He wasn't dumb but it took a little bit more explaining to get it into his noggin.

He was quick to anger again. Yes, he had tremendous amounts of patience. Yet he still had a limit and a breaking point. And that happens when something close to him is hurt. The only weirdest thing is that he'd continue smiling even though he's angry which is why Hee Young relates him to a puzzle. She doesn't always believe that he is very happy and kind. She believes that sometimes he acts that way because he doesn't want people to be burdened with his problems that's why he helps others and puts on a smile all the time. She doesn't like how he doesn't show his true emotions. It makes her feel bad, like she's being lied to.

He is a slight klutz but Hee Young thinks it's adorable and funny at the same time though...

Grade/Semester/Occupation > Senior/High School Student/Works Part Time as a Dance Instructor to earn his allowance
Extracurricular Activities > Dance
Ideal Type > Someone who he "likes the moment he sees them"
Interactions > They are really close. From afar it might seem that Hee Young was the Noona and Jong Up was the Dongsaeng but actually it is the other way around. There's this thing they do. It's some sort of greeting. Whenever Hee Young sees him, she will ruffle his hair and he'll pinch his nose. They don't really fight. But if they had fought, it would take a long time for both to admit their faults but their arguments would be very little.
Trivia >
  • Since he loves to dance, he also has his special room that no one has ever been to before {Other than Hee Young}
  • He's actually a good baker...secretly...
  • He has a huge crush on Hee Young ever since he met her
  • Jun Hong and He like to hang out at the skate park or go to those underground rap areas where Jun Hong transforms into Zelo
  • He is very different when he dances {From caring and awkward to y and smooth like a bad boy}
  • He's the only one that knows about her special dance room other than Zelo and Myung Soo {Myung Soo hasn't been in there but she told him about it once out of the blue and Zelo has only been there twice but Jong Up has been there multiple times before} and in turn, Hee Young knows about his special dance room
  • His best friend is Zelo and that's how he met Hee Young (through Zelo)
  • He's single
  • He's had his first kiss in kindergarten but it isn't anything important and he can't even remember the girl
  • He's also a but his ex-girlfriend, who dated him for fun (and the sad thing is that he actually loved her a lot), tried to take advantage of him but failed so she broke up with him. Thankfully she moved away.
  • Jong Up's too nice to have a rival but I guess Zelo would one as well since both of them dance really well. But it is a fun rivalry. They are best friends yet they are rivals in a way.

Lee Sung Yeol was interesting. He was funny, in fact hilarious. He was nice and very loquacious. In fact, everybody knew him and he knew everybody. He was a ball of sunshine like Jong Up but he brought laughter to everyone with his antics and jokes. And that's primarily the reason why he was crowned the class clown. Everyone loved him and even the teachers fall victim to his charms.
He always cherished a friend no matter what. He made sure he treated everyone right and that he was neglecting his friends. He was loyal and trustworthy and his presence was rather comforting. He knew everything that went around in school because of his connections. He was always bursting with the latest news.
The Bad
Sometimes he didn't know when to stop his jokes. Sometimes he gets too caught up in making people laugh or happy that he doesn't realize that he's making them feel worse. He didn't really know when to stop talking. He could go on and on and most don't have the patience like Myung Soo or Jong Up to deal with him.
He was always trying to please everybody. He couldn't accept the fact that not everybody could like him. So he worked hard to make that person his friend which usually ended with him annoying the other person to hell.
Grade/Semester/Occupation > Senior/High School Student/Works Part Time as a Librarians' Assistant {Which is ironic due to his loud nature but it pays well...somehow...}
Extracurricular Activities > High School Improv Team, Drama Club
Ideal Type > A woman who doesn't pretend to be innocent and easy-going, yet her actions aren't disliked as well
Interactions > Hee Young didn't really like him because he always claimed credit for her pranks (which isn't true since he's been trying to tell everybody that he didn't do it). After meeting him, she didn't like him more. She thought that he thought he was the funniest man on earth. And ever since learning that Hee Young hated him, he began to try and make her his friend in which, it annoys Hee Young even more.
Trivia

  • He is also not a . He did it twice. Once on accident. when he was drunk as hell at a party. And the second time was with one of his flings.
  • Hee Young considers him as her rival and she outright dislikes him and his guts but Sung Yeol doesn't see her as a rival.

How do you wear your uniform?  >
For the first two years {Freshmen & Sophomore}, she made sure that she was following the rule book. But then after those two years, she starts to rebel slightly. In the morning, she wears it like the model student. However, away from her father, her shirt in untucked, her skirt shortens to above her knee, no socks, and basically everything's all against the rule book. She does this because she hopes that she gets noticed.

The "L" word

How do you treat Myungsoo? >
Myung Soo and Hee Young do speak a lot and he's one of the guys that notices her. But most of the time it's usually about stuff for the newspaper club. Other than that, when she does see Myung Soo, she'll greet him and speak with him but they aren't extremely tightly knit. They're friends and that's all. Well...Hee Young really loves to prank him because he's such a great victim. And the best part is he doesn't know about it.
Is there something only he does know about you? >
He knows her reputation in the rich world as the daughter of the CEO of a Famous Technology Company. Since she's a wallflower in the school, nobody knows about her presence and reputation.
How did you guys met?
She first met him when the newspaper club needed a photographer for their front page cover. Since then, the photography club and the newspaper club has always been working together. Hee Young tends to handle the meetings and photos with the newspaper club and she always picks Myung Soo because he has the best skill.
How does he treat your love interests/does he get along with them?
  • Sung Yeol is his best friend and he knows of his little crush on Hee Young (He's secretly rooting for Sung Yeol)
  • He isn't the closest friends with Jong Up but Jong Up has greeted him in the hallway enough for Myung Soo to actually know the guy. Myung Soo can't hate Jong Up because he's too nice anyway.

Comments: This was fun to apply for. It's my first time working with a character that isn't in some kind of of serious related subject matter story. I finally finished it after my exams! Yay! And I actually wonder...who told you that I produced great applications (which I don't since this is such a troll job and I could have done better)?
(Scene) Requests: I can't think right now since I just got released from school! SUMMER TIME! I'll probably replace this later if I can think of something.
