1st Period Confinment

Today I got to school about a half an hour late. School started at 8:00 and I got there at little bit before 8:30. My mom had to go to work early so I didn't have a ride there. It was poring rain and I absolutely did not want to walk in that weather. My older sister was supposed to drop me off but she was taking too long getting ready. So that's how I ended up being late.

I thought that I could just walk in, get a pass from the front desk, and go to Alegra. But no, I had to wait in the lunch room with all the other tardy kids until the bell rang for 2nd period. Apparently, if you show up later than 15 minutes after school starts you have to be held in the confinment of the cafeteria until the next hour. I know. I know. It's a idea.

Even though I only had to stay there for about 20 minutes it was the most tedious part of my whole day. On the bright side we got to use our phones which was a shocker to me. I mean, isn't this supposed to be a punishment for not getting to school on time??  I don't think electronical devices and punishment should be in the same sentence unless you're taking them away... I'm not complaining though. It was playing Ruzzle the whole time. (BTW that's a good game) Everyone one was quiet. I'm not sure if you were supposed to be or people were too tired to hold conversations.

All in all, it wasn't too bad. I just wanted to talk about it and share my experience. It was my very first time in morning detention. I guess you can call it that... I'll try my best not to do it again though because if you're late so many times you'll have to go to Saturday School. And that's the last thing I want...

Anyways...

Peace Out
