A long while back, Asianfanfics used to have email alerts go out whenever a story you subscribed to made an update. In fact, in the early days of Asianfanfics, you used to get an email alert for whenever someone commented on your story as soon as they commented on it. We obviously don't have that anymore and this is mainly due to cost and many other technical limitations.

I'm thinking of bringing email alerts back. Before I do, I need to ask you guys some questions.

• What would you like to get alerts on? Everything? Or just PMs and new updates? Tell me what's important to you.
• Do you prefer a once a day digest of all of your alerts? This would be similar to the way that Facebook tells you that you've had 5 messages and 18 notifications all in one email. Or maybe just once a week? Twice a day? Tell me how often you'd want to get alerted.
• Do you even want email alerts back? I won't do it if nobody wants it. Just remember that you can unsubscribe at any time and you would have had to verify your email address when you registered.

Conclusion? Apparently I'm the only old person here who still has his email open all the time. I'm never on Facebook so I actually appreciated the notification emails from them. So I'll ditch bringing back email notifications and simply make better in-site notifications in real-time instead. I didn't want to pay for the extra email overhead anyway. I think some of you guys are actually on here more than I am!
