I was hesitant to post a blog today since I didn't actually mean to release these features until at least tomorrow but stuff happens.

As should be obvious to most of you who've been here a while, the left sidebar chapter navigation now shows that chapter's titles. I'm sure that's useful to some of you and it actually paves the way to two more features which some of you have been waiting for a long time for. Not going to say what they are until I release them (it's bad luck!). I want to release these features sometime tomorrow which I'll also try to carry over to Roleplay Republic.

Speaking of Roleplay Republic, if any of you from there are reading this, profile points (and by extension, username changes) are no longer showing since something went wrong with it. I'll put in a fix a few days after the next batch of AFF features are released.

A lot less obvious is the new Stories Trending Today header on the front page. This is a tweak to the front page algorithm that focuses more on stories that the system believes is interesting for everyone. It will also be refreshed more often to get newer stories to the front faster.

It's been a good but hectic 2012 with lots of precious things to reminisce about like the Great Server Crash of 3/11, unwillingly having to get acquainted with my lawyers, unintelligible user drama... never mind. I'm looking forward to 2013.
