I never really considered myself much of a festive guy but I always feel the need to mention the holidays on AFF. Not really because it's what a website is supposed to do but because I feel close to this community and have grown appreciative of the many friends I've met here.

Many of you I probably wouldn't have met otherwise especially since I'm not the target demographic for much of the content here. Someone on Twitter once asked me "Why do you feature so many EXO fanfics?" and I replied with "What's an EXO?" (don't bother explaining, I'm not really looking too deeply into it haha). Regardless, you guys are fun and thanks for making AFF an interesting place for me to be a part of.

I also want to leave some space here to thank the moderators for their time and effort in helping me deal with the social aspects of the site. It's a very thankless job that oftentimes deals with the negative aspects of running a fanfiction site and people give them too little credit for what they have to put up with. If you ever see a moderator around, make sure you thank them for what they do even if you don't always agree with them. It is really tough to try to be fair when everyone else thinks their definition of fair is the only one that's right.

I also want to thank the people here who made me that Christmas video collage. It looked like it took a lot of effort to make and I really appreciate it. Running everything as a sole founder is extremely tiring and there are days when I don't want to open the site because it just reminds me of how much more work needs to be done. But with such dedicated people, how can I not keep going?
