It's that time of year again. No, I'm not talking about Christmas where I buy new toys for my dog. I'm talking about the time of year when spammers come out and try to advertise their websites either asking you to watch some pirated tv show or buy some fake gucci purses. Pretty annoying to have pages and pages of fake stories to have to sift through, right?

I'm tweaking my antispam algorithm to be stricter on the stuff that gets posted, especially for December. Obviously, I can't say which factors I'm using to try and determine what is spam and what is a legitimate story, but it's stricter. I'm just writing this post to warn you guys in advance in case my spam killer bot accidentally autobans you for thinking that what you posted was spam. If this does happen to you, just send us a ticket using the Contact link and we'll un-ban you and yell at the antispam bot for doing a bad job. Also let me know what you tried to post so I can train the bot better.

Still working on that roleplay system. I'm halfway done but it's a pain. Finished all the admin features and stuff. Just a sneak peak at one of the features: you get to have one main admin and four co-admins with special privileges for each. Before you ask me why I couldn't do that on Asianfanfics, it's because I got to make the new roleplay site from scratch. Sometime in the future maybe but not right now.

Also, saw some complaints on Tumblr about the site being down for them and telling me to get my sh** together. If you're one of them and you're reading this, unfortunately, it's probably just your country. See, I use a service called CloudFlare to serve my traffic. They protect the site from the really bad stuff floating around on the Internet and they also speed up page loads for everyone. Unfortunately, parts of their network fail occassionally which will affect some area of the world. I've never had a problem but it looks like their service might have been having issues in the UK that one time. It happens and when it does, it's pretty rare. Just wait it out. I'm sure you can last without AFF for a few minutes.
