Solo.

The news for them were published one month, two weeks ago or around that time. I didn't post anything, knowing that I should just wait for the right time and... BAM! I would write a long, long, longgg blog post dedicated for these two idols.

So, yes, soloist is trending lately. To be exact, solo artists are in the middle of rivalry. Good rivalry of course.

Instead of having girl group versus girl group or otherwise, we're having PSY, Ailee, Lee Hi, Juniel, Son Dambi, and, lately, we have Sunggyu from INFINITE who just started his solo debut as well.

Trust me, I really want to dedicate a post for him at the day but time didn't allow me to. Seriously. Sunggyu is one of my favorite idols ever and I'm not picking one after another so I'm just going to share my love for them in this one post together.

Let's congratulate Kim Sunggyu, the one and only leader of INFINITE, the main vocal who is given the chance to shine as soloist with his one of favorite genres of music: rock.

Yes, instead of dance track, Sunggyu hit the K-Pop world with his new solo mini album, Another Me, along with "60Sec". He performs with a band instead of dancers and I like it.

I do love ballad but I also welcome band. Yes, I like rock band. This track, despite some said it's just another average music, I love it, to hear a new track from one of my main vocalists in K-Pop world.

Sunggyu has his hair in red and, after Eunhyuk and Jinyoung, I admit that I love to see his red hair. Don't get me wrong; I prefer guys in black hair but red suits them.

As for the MV, to be honest, I don't really get the storyline. I try to imagine a fanfiction in the MV but I still can't get the whole scene in one story. Maybe it's just me though.

Another favorite track from his solo mini album is "Shine". It's released first before the mini album and I'm in love with it till this very moment. I recommend the track for you.

Here is the MV for "60sec"

Now, I have Yang Yoseob, the main vocalist of BEAST, one of my most favorite idol groups out there. The MV is released today and I even hid in the restroom just to watch the MV.

Well, when I found out about his solo announcement, I couldn't believe it. I thought that I was dreaming and it's just a joke. But it wasn't. It's just too good to be true but, yeah, he did it.

His solo mini album was published two days ago and I got to listen all of his tracks and, well done, his title track got me in one try; I'm addicted to "Caffeine".

"Caffeine" is Yoseob's title track. Junhyung plays the role as producer, composer, and writer for this album. Prepix helped the choreography and Song Hayoon took a role as main actress in the MV.

The teaser got some jealous over the actress. I envy her. I really do. Well, who don't? Who is not surprised to find that Yang Yoseob actually had a kiss scene in the MV?

However I'm not going to bash the actress. She is good and that's all I need to know. The MV is amazing, the meaning is great, and the song is beautiful. What could I ask for more?

Every day I did the countdown, smiling from ear to ear when I heard the audio teaser, when I watched the MV teaser, when I listened to the full audio, and finally when I watched the full MV this morning.

I seriously can't wait for the live performance. Not to mention I'm going to see both Yoseob and Sunggyu on stage.

Have you enjoyed the "Caffeine"?

BEAST and INFINITE are both amazing idol groups. They have skills and talents. One may have what another doesn't and it's not wrong.

Being a solo also doesn't mean they abandon their groups. Instead I think they deserve the chance. Other members have their chances in different form: acting, variety show, musical, or else.

However if I need to share my honest opinion, despite how much I love Yoseob and Sunggyu, their rivals are really great as well. Hey, I love Ailee and I know that Son Dambi is a great artist.

They are labeled as idol and I'm pretty sure some have the same opinion: their songs don't show them as solo artists. It's like they're singing songs which supposed to go to their groups.

Everyone has their own opinions so I'm not going to pinpoint who is wrong or right. As for me, Ailee and Juniel are strong rookies as solo artists. They are great.

Sunggyu won my vote for the music genre. Watching his live performance made me gave him more points. However "Caffeine" is the only song that keeps repeating in my mind for a whole day. As for Yoseob's new solo mini album The First Collage, I love Caffeine but I still haven't gotten stuck with others.

It's my opinion. Please do share your opinion if you're willing to! ;)
