Personality:
Having two brothers and spending a lot of time around boys in general as a child taught her to speak up when she wanted to for example do something. It also taught her to stand by her opinion and not to give in right away. As a kid she wanted to be strong and leader-like, just like her older brother.
She is very outspoken and quite stubborn even today and isn’t afraid to state her opinion on things, even if that opinion isn’t popular. If she thinks you need to hear something, she’ll tell you that without much sugar-coating. However, she tries to be a bit more considerate if she knows the other person is very sensitive and it’s never her intention to hurt anyone’s feelings. Her looks combined with her way of speaking probably makes some people consider her rude but she tries not to think about it too much.
Although she appears tough at times what people say does get under her skin. She just won’t let that show. When she doesn’t want to do something she gets lazy and complains but that doesn’t usually help her in escaping whatever it is she’d rather avoid. And acting cute in those situations is more of a disadvantage to her because she just can’t do aegyo. She’s not the neatest person in the world and usually has books, magazines and papers piled up around her room. It doesn’t really bother her as long as she can find what she needs when she needs it.
Her friends mean the world to her and she is willing to protect them and help them however she can (as long as it’s nothing illegal they want her to do). She also loves to go out and party with her friends once in a. If her friends are sad she’ll try and cheer them up but that’s not one of her strong points.
Actually she’s more comfortable talking about soccer with guys than with talking about, say, love problems with her friends. She can act more girly than she usually does when she wants to but girl-talk and really girly stuff makes her feel awkward. That’s also the case when talking about dating related things and she’d rather keep her own dating history private.
History:
JiEun has spent over half of her life in Japan. The family lived in Japan until she turned twelve; first seven years in Kyoto and then five years in Osaka. They moved to Korea because JiEun’s father got an offer of partnership in an architect firm by one of his former university friends. Her father decided to accept the offer so the family moved to Seoul.
Their childhood was quite normal in Japan and nothing big happened. JiEun always spent a lot of time playing with her brothers and their friends and that probably explains why she became bit of a tomboy. Their father worked long hours at his office in Japan and that didn’t change when the family moved. Their mother gave piano lessons at home and was able to combine work and house-keeping that way.
JiEun had been taking dance lessons ever since she was ten but it was only in Korea she began to consider a career in the music industry. She passed the audition for SM Entertainment when she was fifteen and stayed in the company until she graduated from high school. At that time she began to feel like she needed a break and needed to think about her future so she resigned from SM and moved to Tokyo for a year.
During her stay in Tokyo she worked on her dancing skills and pondered about what she wanted to do in the future. She came to the conclusion that she would like to give the entertainment industry another try and soon after her return to Korea she auditioned for TM Entertainment and got accepted. Since then she’s been working hard to achieve her goal of debuting but she’s also been attending university classes as a back up plan.

His personality:
Ryeowook is a gentle, sweet and caring guy; he likes to cook for his group mates for example. He’s also sensitive and cries easily but when the other members , he kind of brushes it off. He can be a little shy and introverted at times and he’s one of the quietest Super Junior members when they're in public. However, once you get to know he’s more talkative and outgoing kind of person with some little quirky habits to boot.
How you met:
They met for the first time while JiEun was a trainee at SM Entertainment. They lost contact when she resigned but met again years later when JiEun was going to the SM Ent. building to meet up with Jessica. This time she literally walked into Ryeowook and to her surprise he recognized her and wanted to get her number and keep in touch and things developed from there.
Friends:
*Park Sandara, 2NE1. Dara treats her like a little sister. She gives JiEun advice and dressing tips when she needs them and likes to hear about what's going on with her.
*Park Gyuri, Kara. They get along well most of the time and respect each others opinions. Sometimes things get a little awkward between them because of their different personalities but they always solve their differences soon.
*Amber Liu, f(x). Amber looks up to JiEun and she in turn tries her best to be a good role model. JiEun treats her like she treats her younger brother and they occasinally go out dressed as guys just to confuse people for fun.
Best friend:
Jessica Jung, SNSD. They’ve been friends for a long time but even though JiEun’s older Jessica doesn’t treat her like a big sister. They’re more like equals and JiEun doesn’t mind when Jessica talks to her in a more informal manner. They've got a lot interests in common and love hanging out together. They’ve also been dubbed ‘the Devilish Duo’ because they have a tendency to get either themselves or others in trouble.
