"S.E.O.U.L~"

Hello! Today, I bring to you the collaboration song between SNSD and Super Junior, "Seoul!" It was released in 2010, and members Leeteuk, Sungmin, Donghae, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun of SJ and Taeyeon, Jessica, Sunny, and Seohyun of SNSD sang in it. However, more members were in the music video.

The music video is adorable! It shows a few meet-cutes between members of the two groups, such as Kyuhyun being a street artist and Seohyun giving out balloons, and Shindong being a dedicated crosswalk guard for Sunny and her students(? I think they're students). There are some moments with other members as well, though their stories aren't as explored as others-- like Eunhyuk showing up for a second xDDD. (But that made seeing him even more special!!!!!)

About the lyrics! They're pretty straightforward, about a person who despite their tiredness with day-to-day life still looks forward to the future and is hopeful. They call Seoul the place where they can make their dreams come true and where joy overflows.

The instrumental reflects these words of hope, in my opinion. With somewhat fuzzy synth and clear piano working hand-in-hand, there is this sense of weightlessness, though the heavy way the beat is expressed brings some solidness to their lyrics. It-- the beat, I mean-- also is a good way to back their vocals. 

This song is just such a mood-booster! And seeing members of SNSD and SuJu together when they were adorably younger fills my heart with nostalgia.

Slightly unrelated, but it always makes me so frustrated to remember that this song isn't found anywhere!!! As in, you can't officially download it anywhere or stream it on services like Spotify. Myeeeehhhhhhhh.... >n<
