♡ one of the most famous female criminals in south korea. anyone who likes true crime knows of lee jimin, which is the name she legally changed to after aging out of the orphanage.

♡ born in the small town ganggu that was later dissolved into an ulsan neighborhood in the dong district in 1990. her parents are criminals, too. they got caught in 1978, and she was placed in an orphanage. she was 14, but because of the falsified documents her parents had, she was recognized as 17.

♡ no one actually knows her birth name because her parents never legally documented her birth due to them being on the run from the police. she had a new name everytime they would move cities. her actual age and hometown is a hot topic of debate in the true crime community because of conflicting information.

♡ a scammer, a liar, and a thief. she had a travelling psychic and healing business. leader of the short-lived and small religious cult "mountain warriors of god's messenger jimin" (sinsaji jeonsa for short), despite being atheist.

♡ in 1986, at age 22 (thought to be 25), she was charged with the death of 3 of her sick followers. they had consumed a "magical cure" (contaminated river water she blessed) which ended up poisoning them due to the large amounts of arsenic later found in the water.

♡ because of her good lucks, young age, and charming personality, she ended up getting an extremely light sentence of 10 years in the now defunct jeonju women's prison. died in july 1987, at age 24 (thought to be 26), after convincing an inmate to stab her to show their devotion to her and god.

♡ her parents robbed and accidentally murdered her maternal grandparents bc they were against the two's rs for w/e reason lol i have to think of one. parents become scammers and petty thiefs later in life and end up getting caught bc of that. neglectful but not (actively atl) abusive.

seosung was a small place; a town where residents knew each other on a personal level, where everyone (mostly) got along more often than not. on the surface, it was a cozy and welcoming environment despite the common poverty.

born on january 5, 1961, her birth name and place of birth is a constant subject of debate — old classmates from all over north gyeongsang recount many different names. she was last known as min sae before she legally changed her name to what is known all around south korea: lee jimin.

pyo wolgyeong was born in a dingy off-the-grid shack on june 1, 1964 in the small village of ganggu, which would in 1990 be dissolved into a neighborhood of ulsan.

she lived in that shack with her paranoid parents for almost three years, until they had to move — an old man who loved hiking was getting too suspicious about the run-down thing; plus it was never smart to stay in one place for as long as they did.
