when faced with a difficulty, she's able to come up and suggest a quick and clever way to overcome it. this is all supported by her ability to notice things quickly. she's aware of her surroundings and others' actions. she pays attention to the words of others and takes note of them. she's usually the first person to compliment you on your new bangs or new outfit. even if you thought she wasn't paying attention, you'd be surprised by how much she knows through observing the room.

there is something to hanwool's speech that is direct, clever, and harsh. her words rarely steer away from the truth and hanwool personally thinks that being honest may hurt but it's better than being a liar. she often unknowingly hurts the feelings of others in the process. when she feels cornered in an argument or discussion, her languages or actions often become hostile but due to her stubbornness, she's determined not to change her stance as she's attached to her beliefs, opinions, and tastes. she becomes defensive when there are people who disagree with her and she's doesn't back down. deep down, this is her method of avoiding the pain of being controlled by others.

she comes from an upper middle class where her orthopedic surgeon father is the breadwinner. her mother had previously worked as a flight attendant who had to retire when she became pregnant with her first child. her family had expectations for their children to become great people in the fields they chose to work in.born as the third and youngest child, she had to be able to compete with her two older siblings. her older sister was preferred for her charms and ways with words as well as her academic track record while her older brother became the pride of the house because he was the only son and had the "nicest" personality among the three. young hanwool hated it to an extent. she had always felt like she lost the battle to win their favor and the way her sister boasts about it to her irked her. at least, she had her kind brother to give her a pat in the back but even then, she felt like she was being pitied.
they did shower her with love because she was the youngest but she always concluded inside her mind that deep down, they're only doing it out of pity because she was the only child who had nothing special to bring to the table. she was frustrated because at school, she never failed a test despite the occasional low grades. though, she had to admit that hajoon was definitely the nicest out of the siblings.

she didn't know the hidden truth until she was ten. for ten years in her life, she kept thinking that she was the leftover, the least favorite in the bunch. when she was thirteen, she found out from accidentally walked in on her father healing her mother's knife cut. she was surprised, instantly a loss for words. her mother quickly pulled her in so hanwool could hear an explanation. it turns out her father had superpowers. health optimization, he said. her mother and siblings had no such powers. "you are my last hope in inheriting my powers to heal, hanwool. we hope that you will. sooner or later, we will know the truth," her father told her.this confused young hanwool. it meant she could have something that sets her apart from her siblings but when? where? how? she didn't know how to accept this new truth. she can't help but rewind the ten years of her life. i really want to be different. i want to win hana and hajoon in something.
since that day, she never let go of the idea in her mind that she could actually have superpowers just like her father. she never told anyone about it because her father strictly told her not to. he told her it was for her own good and she wanted to believe and listen to that so it could possibly correct her past bad feelings about what she thought of her parents. she did as he says.

when she did discover her powers, she was glad and over the moon. she had her brother as her witness and the second she saw her father, he nodded to her as he confirmed that she has indeed found her powers. her parents were delighted. she showed a thumbs up to hajoon as her father invited her to share a private conversation together. he briefed her on what's to come and emphasized to her that her powers must be hidden. there are always jealous and resentful souls out there who are capable of hurting or taking advantage of people with superpowers like them. so, in that moment, hanwool asked her father, what should i do for a living, then?her father encouraged her to pursue something she can use her powers without bluntly exposing them. she was suggested to look up kinesiology and the possibilities that come with it. as she digged deeper into the prospects and focuses of kinesiology, she felt a tight connection. she can easily perform her powers without being suspected. she felt like she gained a purpose, something that connects her deeper with her father than her siblings. all this before she entered high school.
she felt as if she could really achieve her purpose if she only worked hard to maintain her grades in high school. that's why she tried her best not to fail anything. i think i finally got one up over hana and hajoon, congratulations hanwool, she thought as she cracked her knuckles and examined her three left fingers.
hanwool's sibling interactions with her big sister always had warmth missing in them.both daughters had inherited their father's stubbornness and from a young age, the two sisters are always at each other's throats. hana, as the firstborn in the family, was always set as an example for hajoon and hanwool. growing up, hanwool had a lot of unsettled resent for her big sister. hana had always been successful in winning the favor of their parents through her academics and crafting a whole different personality in front of them.
as much as they insist on firing sarcasm and insults to each other whenever they see each other, there are surprisingly rare instances they cease fire. the teamwork they showcase in the face of a mutual enemy is quite frightening. as long as it benefits them both, why not? they'd gladly agree to work together to eliminate an external threat who tries to sneak their way in the middle of their quarelling. hana would tell her, nobody tries to outsmart us, right, sis?
the ravenclaw brother in the middle of two slytherin sisters, hajoon is the exact type of sibling hanwool loves. this is why she's so whipped for her brother. he's always stepping to pull the two sisters away from each other and is the peacekeeper in the house. hajoon is always taking care of hanwool and gives her the warm attention she craves. he's always there for her and she's grateful and relieved that he didn't grow up to turn out like hana.
she cried a river when she found out he was to report for his military service a few months ago. without him around, she'd have to withstand hana by herself whenever she's not on duty. like he always does, he reassures her and wiped her tears. it was painful for him, too, as he'd lose twenty three months of his life to serving in the navy but he didn't let it show in front of hanwool as he said, "you've always been a fighter, woolfie, even without me."

perhaps the only person she trusts as much as hajoon would be her best friend from high school, ahn heekyung. hanwool confides all of her feelings to heekyung and can always rely on her to have her back, as she will have heekyung's in any given time. it surprises others the fact that hanwool is very affectionate and gentle around her best friend heekyung, straying away from the tough, strong image she usually has.
though they are rather opposites, it works. heekyung is always sharing with hanwool and that triggers hanwool to do the same. they know each other all too well now and they understand each other's schedules so it's not rare if they only exchange several texts per day. they always meet up whenever possible anyways. it took a while for hanwool to open up to heekyung about her powers but when her best friend scrapped her knee during p.e. class one day, hanwool thought it'd be a great chance to come clean to her best friend. since then, the two grew closer and truly, heekyung is hanwool's support system.
they have rather contrasting personalities, considering that mina is very mild and rather gullible to hanwool so it's quite easier for her to deliberately persuade mina into something for her personal gain while mina believes her fully. it actually excites hanwool that mina was the type of easy prey she could spin around.
a loyal person, it's not surprising if mina would follow a born leader like hanwool. perhaps, mina finds everything about hanwool rather admirable or cool in a way from her confidence, smooth talking, quick thinking, and "on time" work ethic. even when mina easily backs down from hanwool's headstrong moments and sometimes get insecure or offended from the harsh comments of the younger yet taller girl.

standing at 166 centimeters, hanwool weighs at 52 kilograms with her natural hourglass body shape. often seen in a tight ponytail, many regard it as her trademark. another noticeable trait of hers would the variety of green nail polish she tries. her alluring monolid eyes and foxy facial features give her a distinct look. she makes sure her brows are neatly done every day and applies sunscreen before she goes out all the time. her lips are often in the mauve, pink, or peach hues. she does simple makeup and in the midst of it, makes sure her simple and light cat eye is on flick.

it's rather simple to summarize her powers, she can heal any living thing including those whose lives are hanging by a thin thread.
as long as they are alive, she is able to restore them to their optimal health. she can heal damaged or withered organisms, wounds, broken bones, low vitality, and diseases/poisoning. specifically, she can heal minor wounds such as cuts, bruises, and light burns and she can personally from minor to moderate blood loss.
there are limitations, however, to such a superpower. she cannot heal fatal wounds and permanent injuries or abnormal injuries that cannot be treated. she has to touch the person to be able to heal them and depending on what she has to heal, the process may be painful for the recipient. she can't heal automatically or on reflex and has to be done with her will.
her abilities are limited by her own physicality so if she heals when she's ill or drunk, her body will start to go soar or she'll get a huge headache and cold sweat. when she's healthy, her limits are according to her condition on that day. sometimes, she can heal without having fatigue but sometimes, just healing a knife cut would worn her out.
she was fifteen at the time. it was during the summer break before she entered high school. her parents were in the dining room eating brunch while her older brother was playing games in his room on the second floor. her older sister was hanging out with her friends.
she was in her room on the second floor, listening to music on her phone. she didn't hear her mother calling her from the dining room. her mother's voice slowly went higher in an angry tone. she was flustered and quickly jumped from her bed. opening and closing the door in the hurry, three of her left fingers got stuck and started to bleed after the rough contact with the door. she leaned against the wall and she clenched onto her left hand, eyes closed. she screamed in pain.
her brother, hajoon quickly reacted to her scream. he went to get the first aid kit. this was when she started to take deep breaths and focused on the painful sting that was occuring on her three left fingers. her brother returned to inspect her fingers with the complete first aid kit ready. he couldn't believe his eyes. "yo, woolfie, your fingers aren't bleeding anymore. the wounds are closed!" he exclaimed in disbelief.
he still told her to clean her fingers over running water. he wanted to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. hanwool herself was surprised. she tried to explain to hajoon that she doesn't know how that happened and was just trying to relief the pain. hajoon quickly led her to their parents as he announced to them, "i think my sister has superpowers!" when hajoon broke the news to hana after she returned from her hangout, hana would only nod as hanwool showed her older sister a big smug grin on her face.
i was actually very hesitant to apply at first since i was juggling other characters at the time but now that i'm a bit more free, i was like "okay, i'm just going to wing it, whatever" so here is my slytherin girl, hanwool. i hope that you liked reading through her as i did creating her layers and the superpower factor makes everything about her interesting.

when you ask about hwang minhyun, many associate him with positive words. he'd never back-stab his colleagues and always gives his utmost support and trust for his friends. minhyun's image is friendly and easy to approach. his attitude towards others is pleasant and it makes it hard for anyone to dislike him. he treats others with transparency and always says what he genuinely feels or believes. he is the exact opposite of deceit and dishonesty as he strongly believes in fair play. he knows what his duties and obligations are as a korean citizen, human being, student and the son of his parents. he obeys the laws and lives his life by what is expected of him while doing what he should do. he is often motivated by duty rather than desire.
sometimes, his virtues can be counterproductive. his tendency to be a people-pleaser and adjust or accomodate according to what is socially acceptable can cause him to tire out emotionally and mentally inside as it sometimes causes him to become something he's not. his tendency to tolerate is great, but often leads him to have a pushover image as he's letting several severe attitudes go. his even-tempered causes him to become calm and composed at all times, making others think that he's not really expressive in his emotions as he doesn't get excited or upset easily. the gentle voice and method of speech is attractive and likeable but it causes him to steer away from being directly strict and firm when disagreeing.
he should pair his tolerance with some standard of resistance, but that's not who minhyun is. he does not try to change the situation and lets things slide through him. he doesn't resist and gets dragged under the dominance of others. all this may stem from his lack of self-confidence and assurance. he rarely feels good enough for himself and isn't sure if he's doing a great job. always anxious and worried, he needs extra reassurance to boost his confidence. minhyun is easily swayed and tends to swallow what he hears whole. he gets tricked or fooled often due to this. the sensitivity he experienced makes him easily hurt, disturbed or offended by actions or words that may not be hurtful for others. as he's rather gentle in his words, it's not rare for him to be incapable of showing resistance or disagreement. he just lets himself wear the bruises in the inside.

they befriended each other easily because they both had to coordinate on their student union obligations and it wasn't hard for them to drop the formalities, though it was noted that hanwool called him "sunbae" and not "oppa". seeing minhyun confused over the choice of nicknames, she reasoned that she'll start calling him "oppa" when she gets more comfortable around him. despite being younger than minhyun, hanwool has the exact opposite aura than the older guy. the confident, calculated, and complex girl intrigued him. he wondered, how could there possibly be someone like that in real life? it's almost certain that minhyun with his conforming and gullible nature would play into the hands of hanwool. he always followed her around and listened to her well. hanwool took an interest in minhyun mainly because of his looks but there was a hint of curiosity in her speech whenever he interacted with her. he was an open book and that made her want to keep him around. heekyung, as an observer to this, predicts that nice guy hwang minhyun will definitely be all over the not-so-nice jung hanwool before they even know it.

they honestly get along better than most would expect. minhyun helps to make sure hanwool can slowly be more selfless and listen to the opinions of others while hanwool will push minhyun to become more courageous and teach him how to say "no" once in a while. she'll share some tips on growing self-confidence and self-love for himself while minhyun will help control hanwool's crafty plans.
the loyalty minhyun shows hanwool along with his sincerity is something new to her. she has never seen someone so free of thorns and this somehow causes her to value their "friendship". he was a caring "oppa" figure in her life and for once, it was nice to be taken care of. she always seemed thorny and somewhat indifferent to minhyun, but she surprised him by noticing small details in his daily life. this is when minhyun realized that hanwool had a twist to her and is more of a tsundere whenever she took care of others. he somehowfelt honoured by this.
although, even with those twists, she was still hard to figure out. he has heard from his friends that she was a complicated girl. he was told not to waste his time on trying to crack her code and it made sense to minhyun as he always felt like she was holding her cards close to her chest when they're interacting. yet, he let it slide. he believed she was going to tell her sooner or later. seeing minhyun behave like this put a smile on her face. she met a really nice guy.

as predicted by ahn heekyung, minhyun would be the one to catch feelings for the younger girl. he believes that she's slowly letting her guard down and really trust him. he couldn't hide his smile when he heard her call him "oppa" for the first time. he couldn't help but have confidence or pride in gaining her trust. it was obvious to hanwool that he had started to like her. there was no way someone with his personality buy her icecream for her hangover or call a taxi for her after a drinking party if he didn't like her. she liked having minhyun stick by her and devote his attention to her. she feels special.
hanwool wouldn't deny that she likes minhyun, "i mean, heekyung, look at him, he's perfect!" she realizes that this would mean the feelings are mutual and that their relationship would be a "something". to this realization, she's unknowingly using the push and pull dynamic towards minhyun to defend herself. she wants him to be at a certain distance but he's advancing closer and closer. she's not ready to be intimate. there's so much to fear and consider, especially since she has superpowers. even if minhyun is a nice guy who played himself into her hands, she wants to work out her emotions and calculate how the relationship will turn out when her superpowers come into the equation.

she always goes around praising him on his character, looks, style and achievements. she listens very well when he confides to her and his kindness makes her loosen up quite a lot. it's not rare for minhyun's heart to explode whenever she surprises him with kind gestures that he never thought she remembers like buying him coffee or tea, noticing his style changes, and knowing all his preferences. she relies on him a lot and finds that he supports her decisions. it's always so fun for her to see him blush after a direct comment from her and how he always allows her to makes it even more fun. she doesn't know how open she is to him but he can always find a way to get her out of her shell. she may have him in the palm of her hands but it's true when she says she really likes him for who he is. it makes her almost sorry that she's concealing her superpowers from him.

you can't unsee the affectionate oozing from minhyun's eyes when he sees her. he always takes care of her and is slowly becoming courageous in expressing how he likes her through all kinds of compliments. through his actions, he holds the door for her and gives her his jacket. he's always one call away for her to contact and won't hesitate to jump up from his bed to take care of her when she becomes too drunk to go home alone. he always puts her first and he knows it's bad. he knows the more he gives to her, the more easier it will for him to get hurt. he's been warned by his friends but he always goes back to her anyways so in the end, he doesn't give a what's going to happen to him as long as he expresses himself. he doesn't regret having his heart ready to be broken by her any time she likes.

as of now, hanwool is pushing him away in a push and pull dynamic and given his personality, minhyun just allows her to do anything to him. they both like each other but everything's going to become unhealthy if they don't come clean to each other. hanwool needs to stop playing minhyun and minhyun has to change in order for the cycle to break. also, she needs to come clean with her superpowers to minhyun somehow.
