· CHEF / BAKER
namgi always enjoyed baking as a kid and, so, s call him a baker and even designated baker at that. he also took after his mother who was fond of cooking and is typically the one cooking in the dorms. so, chef became a nickname of his as well. some of his other labelmates call him this too since he would sometimes cook food and bring it for them to eat when they were still trainees together. he's sometimes even called the gordon ramsay of me+u by fans. that's just how good he is.
· SMOL BEAN
a playful and rather cute nickname fans call him because of his height compared to s. for fun and laughs, fans gift him milk and/or beans (actual milk and/or beans and also toys/plushies) at fanmeets to for his height. they also send messages in me+u's fancafe and vlives with namgi with 'smol bean', 'small boy' or with a milk emoji. in return, namgi would sign off on the fancafe with 'your tiny boy' or 'time to drink milk', and the same happens when ending vlives.

appearance namgi doesn't really stand out looks-wise and he knows that, especially when comparing himself to his other members. he's rather short, standing at a mere 170cm, which is considerably short for a male idol, but he does make up for it due to his proportionate body that causes people to believe he's taller than he really is. he does, however, maintain a healthy weight of 54kg for the most part, but it does fluctuate between 50kg and 56kg depending on how busy he is and how much he eats. because of his good proportions and healthy weight, he's pretty confident over his image. he doesn't mind being one of the shorter members and all the negative comments regarding his "average" looks compared to members like youngho. in fact, he makes up for his appearance through his talents, which allows him to be individually seen in me+u. currently, namgi kept his natural black hair color and doesn't have any piercings. he does, however, have defined abs and muscles due to how frequently he works out in his spare time, but he doesn't frequently show it off unless he's asked to (besides his abs. he won't admit to having abs, even though s always say otherwise).
fashion namgi's style isn't all that special. he's typically seen in graphic tees, sweaters, button-up shirt over top a t-shirt, or long shirts with a pair of joggers or jeans, prioritizing casual-wear over elaborate clothes as an everyday look. but, when need be, he'll try his best to look presentable, especially when it comes to public interactions (e.g. airport, music shows, etc.). much of the clothes he owns are rather monochromatic with the exception of a few shirts that are colorfully muted.

1998 park namgi was the first and only child to a doctor specializing in family medicine named park junyoung and an ex-aspiring author who now works as a bank manager named yook cheonhwa who both lived in a rather upper-middle class life.
2003 namgi grew up in a very traditional lifestyle with parents who raised their only son to follow in their rather lavish lifestyle. however, his father was never truly in his life due to his long work hours that constantly kept him out of the house. so, he found himself being around his mother the most, though there were instances where his mother would not be present either due to her odd hours at the bank. but, even so, namgi still tried his best to live up to the expectations his parents had for him.
2008 namgi still continued to try and please his parents, but he was beginning to find it difficult as his parents began to work more hours. for much of his late-childhood years and early teen years, namgi was alone at home, waiting for his parents to get home, or at least for his mother as he knew his father was away majority of the day. but the more he waited, the more he began to think about the things he was doing. in fact, he began to realize how unhappy he would be about bringing honors home and amazing grades, only to have his parents tell him he did good, nothing more and nothing less. he began to question whether his parents truly cared about what he did and, so, he began to become more laidback in his studies and stopped waiting for his parents to make his own decisions.
2009 entering middle school, namgi heard from his father of how his aunt, kahi, pursued a career as an idol and recently debuted. curious of his aunt he hasn't seen in awhile, due to her living and moving to seoul, he looked her up and, almost immediately, found himself casually watching other groups like 2pm, beast and mblaq. slowly but surely, he wanted to seemingly follow in his aunt's footsteps because he thought it was cool and saw genuine joy in the people he watched on tv. however, he knew his parents, especially his father, wouldn't be supportive if he had a change of heart on what to pursue as a fulltime career. so, he secretly began learning dance on his own and with a group of friends who also had a dream of becoming an idol.
2011 two years past and namgi was still secretly learning dance behind his parents's backs. he found himself enjoying b-boying and breakdancing through the same group of friends from middle school, and had even joined dance workshops in local dance studios in daegu. however, his parents soon found out about his whereabouts after the school contacted his parents about how he was in jeopardy of being held back due to some of his classes being at risk of failing. coming out to his parents about his whereabouts and his new passions of wanting to be like his aunt, they were upset and angered. coming from a family so traditional and had wanted their son to have a job in the sciences or even business, of course, namgi's parents were mad at their teenager wanting to pursue an "impractical career" like being an idol. that's when namgi became more distant with his parents and started to express disapproval of everything they would say about the arts. he did, however maintain passable grades, but, of course, they weren't at the high expectations of his parents.
2012 early 2012 was a pinnacle time of namgi's life. after a year of continuously telling his parents that he was going to do what brought him genuine joy, they seeked advise from his aunt, kahi, who was now a popular idol under pledis. after a long and gruesome conversation between kahi and namgi's parents, they had no choice but to accept the fact namgi was never going to be the son they dreamed of. so, they sent namgi to kahi in seoul and scheduled an audition with kahi's company. the only reason they did this was simply for namgi to understand that being an idol was more than just knowing a specific skill like dance and singing, and they wanted for him to have second guesses on this career path. however, namgi was persistent of still wanting to be an idol, simply to prove his parents wrong.
2014 namgi still lived with kahi and was still trying his best as a trainee, and was now a student in an arts high school (sopa). his parents were still waiting for his return to daegu, wanting for him to pursue a "better" career. through kahi, his parents learned that namgi was doing rather fine as a trainee and was even doing alright in his studies, simply because his classes were ones that interested him the most. although, deep down, his parents were glad to hear he was doing good in school, they still hoped for him to seek a "better" career and lifestyle away from the arts.
2017 namgi was now staying in the trainee dorms provided by pledis, though he did visit kahi from time to time but not often. he had also graduated from sopa and entered a cyber university later that same year. but, on top of his good studies, namgi began to notice how truly difficult it was to be a trainee. as he watched his friends succeed as an idol or in their own majors, namgi just waited. he began to doubt whether he'd actually debut, but he didn't fully lose faith and just simply kept on. after all, he wants to prove his parents wrong.
PRESENT me+u is announced and rumors began to start in pledis of potential members of the new boy group. namgi simply crossed his fingers, hoping to be part of the lineup and finally succeed and prove his parents wrong.

BACKUP namgi has said that if he didn't pursue a career as an idol, he would've wanted to become a software developer. he also said that if he was still a trainee for another three years (ten years as a trainee total), he would've left the company and changed his major to computer science to pursue said career (software developer).
SCHOOL that being said, he currently attends the cyber university of korea as an applied music major in hopes of becoming a singer-songwriter. he previously attended seoul school of performing arts and graduated this past 2017 alongside a number of idols (jeongguk of bts, sinb and umji of gfriend, eunseo of wjsn, yeeun of clc, wooseok of pentagon, nayun of momoland and kyulkyung + eunwoo + rena of pristin). notably, he's classmates with kyulkyung and nayun, and has talked to jeongguk on a number of occasions in school.
FANBOY namgi's a huge fan of bts and is notably a bts fanboy (imagine soloist donghan or wekimeki's yoojung). he credits this over personally knowing jeongguk through mutual friends and, thus, became interested. he knows the dances to most of bts's title songs, with the addition of jeongguk's solo dances (begin and euphoria) for obvious reasons, and has been following them since roughly 2014. namgi also mentions that he wants to collab with jeongguk, again, for obvious reasons. in addition to bts, namgi is a fan of all pledis artists (for obvious reasons), ikon, stray kids, 2pm, dreamcatcher, momoland, jay park and chungha. he knows the dance from beginning to end to at least one song from each artist with the addition of popular songs/artists who promote the same time(s) as me+u. he also likes freestyling and making up choreography, which is something he gets praised about often.
IDOL he cites jay park as the person who made him want to pursue a career in performing. he first saw jay in 2pm and, although looked up to 2pm as a whole, after jay park went solo in 2010, he ultimately looked up to jay for still pursuing a musical career after what happened with 2pm (he still likes 2pm just as much, though). he liked how jay would make the stage his and how he performed with so much charisma and power. that's why he became a b-boy: to become like his idol. he still dotes jay park, now saying he wants to be as successful as him, and expresses his desire to meet him in the future. he also notes his aunt as being his inspiration to pursue a career in performing, especially as an idol.
ATHLETICS he likes sports and is typically the one pushing for his other members to work out with him so he wouldn't be lonely. he's known to have abs because of how often he'd work out or play sports in his free time as a trainee, but he says that they've been slowly disappearing (which is a lie; he just doesn't want to show it on camera). once people get a glimps of his abs in his fancams, he'd get teased over it. in addition, he played soccer as a kid and naturally found himself liking running (track and field).
FOOD namgi absolutely loves food, and loves cooking/baking even more. being one of the designated cooks in the dorm, he's usually the one making food for, not only himself, but his other members when someone's hungry. his go-to thing to make is always ramen with homemade broth, but he's also capable of making burgers and pastas. he also likes baking, noting that his best (and favorite) things to bake are flan and muffins. he likes reading up on new recipes to try out and would often ask suggestions from s on what he should try making next.

· namgi calls kahi 'imo/aunt' around family as well as when talking about his relationship with her as an idol. he does, however, note that, when their paths cross in the kindustry, he needs to refer to her as 'sunbae/senior' to avoid any noticeable favoritism and to keep a professional relationship. kahi simply calls namgi his name.
· kahi was notably the person who got him into pledis and pushed him to pursue a career as an idol after hearing from his father (who's kahi's older brother) that namgi was beginning to prioritize dance over his classes.
· they contact each other sparingly as they're both busy with their own lives. namgi is typically the one starting the conversation, asking about tips and feedback on certain things as an idol (e.g. dancing, singing, balancing personal life, etc.). if ever kahi starts the conversation first, it's usually about his mother or congratulating him on a certain success or wishing him luck (e.g. debuting, showcases, etc.).

· namgi calls youngho, simply, 'youngho' but sometimes calls him 'young hoe' or even 'ugly hoe' when he wants to or get his attention. youngho calls namgi, simply, 'namgi', but sometimes calls him 'namgay' to get his attention (especially after youngho finds out he likes a boy, which usually backfires since youngho also likes a boy).
· namgi and youngho were actually not close as trainees because they were often compared to each other in the sense that they were both dancers, were similar personality-wise and were just ultimately compared to each other. in short, they both saw each other as rivals.
· it wasn't until it was rumored (or revealed?) that the two would be in the same group that they became closer. the two were still butting heads because of how similar they were and the stigma that they were rivals as trainees, but it slowly turned into a more friendlier rivalry where they would try to one-up the other in a playful manner.
· regardless, the two frequently talk and interact with each other, notably being the two people who interact the most (maybe?) in the group, and they still continue to have this friendly rival relationship that fans seem to enjoy watching.
· because youngho isn't fond of skinship, namgi often teases him and tries to hug him for "fun", which only causes youngho to want to run away or slap the younger. to fans, their relationship is like a tom and jerry situation, and the two are often compared to tom and jerry.

· namgi calls jun, simply, 'jun' and jun calls namgi, simply, 'namgi' for obvious reasons as their names aren't all that difficult to pronounce.
· out of everyone, jun and namgi weren't the closest due to a language barrier and both being rather introverted, but they slowly opened up as they kept hanging out together with the others and got to know each other better. they also became trainees at roughly the same time (with jun entering pledis a few months after namgi).
HOSHI
· namgi calls hoshi 'hosh' and hoshi calls namgi 'nam', also for obvious reasons as their names aren't hard to pronounce. they just simply take off a single syllable since it flows better in conversations, in their opinion at least.
· out of all the boys, hoshi and namgi are notably close and talk the most in their kakao group chat that includes the other three members (and maybe also other me+u members who are close with svt's performance team?). frequently, namgi goes to hoshi for advice since he's also a singer-dancer like him.

· namgi calls the8 'minghao' or 'ming' for short because he finds his stage name to be a bit weird ("the8? what kind of stage name is that? what did pledis do to you mate the8?" "...i wish i fully knew but i don't"). minghao calls namgi his name for the same reason as jun.
· out of all the boys, minghao and namgi aren't super close, but they do frequently talk, especially since they both have a background in b-boying and are only months apart in age. it isn't until after they got to know each other through the others that they became closer.

· similar to minghao, namgi calls dino by his birth name 'chan' because he finds his stage name pretty odd ("so what's your favorite dinosaur? or are you your own favorite?" "i swear-"). chan simply calls namgi by his name but sometimes switches off between 'nam' and 'namgi'.

namgi and cheolmin have been friends for as long as they could remember. through their mothers, who were also childhood friends residing in the same neighborhood, it was given that the two would be raised up together in a rather similar lifestyle and practically side-by-side. for much of their childhood, they were glued together and had a friendship that everyone at the young age of five envied: they shared toys with little fights, they offered each other bits of their lunch, hell, it was a childhood friendship practically pulled from a cliche storybook. it was always park namgi and yoo cheolmin against the world. it always was.

HOW WE LOVE
after so many years being together and hanging out almost everyday, happily laughing at things that happened in middle school and deep talks over their passions, it was evident that they were slowly becoming strangers when college rolled around. why? for namgi, it was simply because he was getting busier with training and wanting to make a name for himself in the music industry. but for cheolmin? of course, he was busy too, but his reason was more than just his stressful college courses. cheolmin found himself falling for namgi, not just as a friend, but as more of a friend. cheolmin always thought he liked girls, noting how girls always wanted to date him back in high school and the number of presents he'd get around valentine's day. but after talking to namgi one day over his own encounters with girls in high school and how he found himself liking this one girl freshman year, cheolmin couldn't help but feel upset over everything his best friend would tell him.

"what? why? is something wrong?"
"i just... have a lot of work to do."
"oh, okay.. i'll text you later, yeah?"

cheolmin was evidently confused as to why he was so upset over namgi to the point he had to leave the conversation, saying he "had things to do". laying in his bed, pondering over how stupid he was to just leave namgi for no real reason, he started to think things over. why was he so upset and so angered at the thought of namgi liking a girl? why didn't he support his friend in asking that girl out? he should've. cheolmin should've been happy and encouraged someone so dear to him to ask that special someone out. he should've. but he couldn't. as much as he wanted to, as much as he wanted to be that supportive friend he always was in namgi's life, he just couldn't see himself being happy seeing namgi with a girl. he just couldn't picture namgi with someone that wasn't him.
that's when everything clicked for cheolmin. he liked namgi. he liked boys. that's when everything fell in place for him. well, not totally, but, coming to terms with his uality made him feel... lighter? better? it made him feel so much more himself. but he couldn't come out to anyone, or at least not now. as much as he wants to, cheolmin knows that his parents wouldn't accept it, nor would namgi's parents. he was raised so traditionally that the thought of even saying that he liked boys to his parents scared him. and, knowing namgi, it scared him even more at the thought of namgi not accepting him either and would, in turn, tarnish their friendship. after all, namgi was straight and always saw himself dating girls... right?

"i'm busy today. maybe next week."
since cheolmin came to terms with his uality, namgi was as clueless as before. he did notice how distant they've been since they last talked and their conversations were becoming more sparing and short. he didn't understand why, only understanding that cheolmin was "busy" every time he would try to hang out with him, but he didn't want to ask. he knew cheolmin like the back of his hand: he wouldn't tell him, no matter how much he would ask what was wrong or if he was okay. they were alike in that sense, that they weren't able to talk about their emotions and feelings so openly, no matter how great of friends they were. but moments like this, when someone you've known for years stops talking to you, you want to reach out and ask. but namgi was scared, just as much as he was scared to lose such a good friend in his life. it was namgi and cheolmin against the world... wasn't it?

it takes a lot of courage and time away from each other for cheolmin to come out to namgi and confess his feelings. months of pondering and trying to find the right words to say to namgi, his childhood and best friend, he thought that namgi would be accepting of him. but, unfortunately, namgi's reaction wasn't what cheolmin expected. of course, namgi always thought he was straight and never once thought of cheolmin as something more than a friend. so, it didn't sit well with namgi at first that's when he pushed cheolmin away, telling him over and over again that he was sorry that he couldn't reciprocate the same feelings. behind a sad smile, cheolmin just said it was fine, that he just wanted to get it off his chest, before bidding a final goodbye for awhile. as cheolmin cried, namgi was confused. he was confused over the fact a good friend of his was not only homoual, but liked him. he didn't see anything wrong with his uality, but he was just shocked over the fact that his friend confessed to him of all people.
that's when namgi began to question his own love life and his own uality. after being away from cheolmin and not contacting him as frequently as before, he found himself thinking of cheolmin and if he was okay. did he come out to his parents? was he the only one who knew? the more he thought of cheolmin, the more he realized that his life was plain and boring without him. because it was namgi and cheolmin against the world. like it should be.
HOW WE ARE
when namgi was still a trainee, they talked frequently through text. much of it was cheolmin texting first, congratulating namgi on following through with his lifelong dream and how proud he was to call him his best friend. in return, namgi would always encourage cheolmin to do amazing in school and, also, say how proud he is of him to be able to join such a prestigious school in a prestigious major. they did try their best to hang out when they could, but because of how busy they were getting individually, it was getting harder to even give the usual long texts they always gave each other.
soon after namgi officially debuted, their texts gradually became less and it was noticeably getting hard for both of them to keep up with each other's lives. their only source of hearing about each other was through their parents, most specifically because namgi was always being compared to cheolmin in the sense that he was now a business major in a private and high-ranked university in korea whereas namgi just became an idol after almost eight years and was taking classes online for art.
HOW WE END
ultimately, i see the two patching their friendship and trying to date in secret from their parents a little after reconciling. their parents would find out about their relationship in some shape or form, but whether they accept it or not is completely up to you! honestly, you can write their ending how you see fit (whether it stays as just crushing or they slowly lose feelings or they date, etc. etc.). the idea i gave is just a suggestion :-)
(note: there's no real timeline of when cheolmin confesses to namgi. i wrote everything more open to interpretation, but i do see him confessing after namgi's debut, but not immediately after his debut? maybe a year or so in since cheolmin wants namgi to focus on his career first.)

when he became a trainee, he wanted nothing more but to be known more than "park kahi's nephew". for much of his training life, that's all people ultimately knew him as. the nephew of the leader of after school and one of the first trainees of pledis, park kahi. of course, people saw his talent, evidently being talented in dancing and being rather sociable the more you interacted with him, but people couldn't see past the stigma of him being a nephew of a popular idol at the time. that's when rumors started to spread about how namgi had special privilege as a mere training, and he hasn't been in pledis for even a whole year when rumors of how he got in and how he was being treated began. of course, namgi knew of the stigma relating his doings as a trainee, but he never minded them and just kept on with his passion he tried so hard to get to.
a little over a year into training, the rumors soon dissipated entirely. namgi assumes it's because people finally began to see him as a purely talented person rather than the nephew of a kpop idol. of course, he was happy that this idea people put in their heads about him subsided, but he couldn't help but take note of how more people like him were entering and catching the eye of the instructors and, moreover, the ceo. sure, his dancing was strong and his techniques were evidently amazing, but he wasn't unique and didn't entirely stand out as a dancer. in the course of a year, namgi tried so hard to perfect one specific genre of dance, hiphop, but that's the genre most notable with the other trainees. more people began to go for hiphop and break dancing, and that's what namgi had always done. to the instructors and ceo, it was getting old and was no longer unique in their eyes, but rather it was mainstream. of course, namgi was upset that, within a year of being this exceptionally talented trainee he quickly became just another mere trainee with nothing but good moves. but he didn't stop and he started to look into other genres of dance, evidently finding joy in contemporary dance and, ultimately, began to learn in his arts high school.
soon enough (2014-2015), namgi was beginning to stand out from other dancers. in the span of two or so years, he started to look into other genres such as contemporary, lyrical, and modern dance, genres that were barely touched on by other trainees. he slowly became a trainee that could dance in various genres and had evidently expanded his abilities. but, even when he was standing out as a dancer, people couldn't help but think that namgi would only become a mere dancer instructor or choreographer rather than an idol. people never heard him rap and, according to others, his singing was only subpar. everyone assumes that his lack of singing and rapping abilities was the reason he wasn't part of the lineup for seventeen despite being close with some of the potential members. of course, word got around about namgi being untalented vocal wise and only strong in dance, which ultimately pushed him to begin focusing on his vocals more.
soon enough, namgi became evidently stronger in singing in a matter of a year or two (2016-2017). unknown to the other trainees, but namgi actually had a rather clear and distinct voice that can be set apart from others, but it wasn't known since it wasn't considerably strong like seventeen's vocal line. but, in the span of two years, he was notably getting there. he seeked private help from vocal teachers in sopa and had even asked his vocal friends for help (notably, jeongguk through asking for techniques via text and hoshi for tips on singing and dancing altogether both in person and via text/call). he had even stayed back longer with vocal instructors at pledis for more help whilst also practicing on his own time alone in empty practice rooms, recording himself dancing and singing, until he thought he was making progress.
[added!] the more he asked and seeked help from others, and the more he practiced on his own, namgi grew to love singing. of course, he still had a strong love for dancing since it was what got him into wanting to be an idol in the first place, but the idea of singing to convey such powerful and raw emotions that dancing couldn't made namgi work harder as a singer. evidently, namgi began to look more in depth to other vocalists and popular techniques, wanting to become this exceptional singer-dancer like those he looked up to (notably jay park). he knew it was going to be difficult, but he worked hard to achieve this goal and, somehow, managed to make it possible for himself.
it wasn't until 2018, the following year, that he was beginning to doubt himself as a trainee. sure, he wasn't there for a whole decade like some trainees, but he felt as if, despite all the efforts being made, he just wasn't making as much progress as he anticipated when he first entered pledis. it's only been seven years, but it felt like seventeen years in his mind. he assumes it's because he went against the wishes of his parents in wanting their only kid to have a so-called "plausible job". he started to see how successful his friends were becoming: his dancing friends he's trained with (jun, hoshi, the8, dino and kyulkyung) finally debuted, schoolmates of his (jeongguk, nayun and, again, kyulkyung) debuted as well and, hell, even his childhood friend, cheolmin, was successful in entering a prestigious school with seemingly high honors in a difficult major. but namgi was still trying to make his own debut and trying to match up with the high standards of pledis.
that's when rumors started to spread of how pledis was planning on debuting another group and, this time, would be a boy group. names were beginning to be thrown around of different trainees who would potentionally debut in 2019/2020, and namgi was surely one of the mentioned trainees. namgi just hopes that this rumor would be true, and that he would finally become as successful as his other friends and finally make his parents proud.

ME+U'S PARK NAMGI IS THE NEPHEW OF PARK KAHI?
hours after the release of namgi being he final member of me+u with his solo song (or after me+u's debut as a whole), namgi's familial ties came to light. through kahi's instagram story, her eldest son, noah, was recorded watching namgi's solo song wake me up (or was watching me+u's debut stage) followed by a picture of namgi playing with noah and sion. all this was followed by a final picture on her story of namgi and kahi, back when he was a pledis trainee and she was still a member of after school, with a message: "i'm so proud of everything you've accomplished. after seven years of working hard and continously trying to better yourself, you finally did it, kiddo. sion, noah, junmu and i will always continue to cheer you on. congratulations!". a lot of people began to comment of their relationship and, soon enough, it was revealed through kahi herself that namgi was, indeed, related to her as he's her nephew through his father.

a follow up to the previous article, but there's a number of speculations of whether or not namgi became a trainee through either bribing or through kahi speaking on behalf of namgi. a supposed ex-pledis trainee that trained with namgi said that there were rumors about namgi, saying he became a trainee thanks to kahi and was favored by many instructors because of his relation to the then-member of after school. it isn't later in an interview where he talks about his relationship with kahi and also dismisses the rumors surrounding how he got into pledis. simply, he said that kahi did suggest for him to go to pledis, but he made it in without her help and without saying he was related to kahi, noting that people naturally found out he was her nephew through after school meeting pledis trainees and kahi openly talked to namgi.

humming, namgi couldn't help but think back on his training years and how much he was waiting to be asked how he felt over becoming a member of a group. he finally reached his dream, and that only made him happy. with a smile namgi clasped his hands together, "i'm obviously happy about it. sure, there's always going to be tension and a bit of wariness since there are other groups debuting alongside us, but i'm excited to start this new life with people i've trained and worked alongside of."

he paused for a brief moment and let out a small hum through pursed lips, pondering over whether he should be truthful of how upset he was over being the last member or glad he for finally being able to debut after so long, as previously mentioned. however, namgi ultimately chose to answer in a more vague perspective, emitting the same smile he gave early on, "i'm rather mixed about being the last member, but i'm just glad to be debuting. as long as i'm debuting in an amazing group like me+u, it's great!"
WHAT CAN YOU TELL US ABOUT YOUR DEBUT SONG?
in all honesty, namgi wasn't even entirely sure of his debut song. sure, you should understand the overall concept of songs, but namgi was given little to no explanation on how the song came about and if there were any noticeable symbolism or anything. vaguely recalling what he was told by the producers, with added thoughts he had while listening to the final product, he confidently answered, "my debut song is wake me up, which is a more down-tempo edm style of music. it's a rather new color vocal-wise and is meant for me to show a wider range of my abilities since wake me up is a song you can dance to. the story behind the song is not wanting to wake up from a dream about something you love because you find comfort and solace in that said dream."
(note: if ending up as jihoon's counterpart, his debut song would likely change to hoya's all eyes on me. this change can also apply if you decide namgi's best fit for another counterpart!)
