PERSONALITY —
❃ Ryeyeon very smart and creative. She always willing to through ideas out there even if they are a little over the top. She's The one that can come up with an answer for just about anything. That being said, Ryeyeon can be evasive at times. If it's something she really doesnt want to talk about she wont. She pretty good at changing the topic of conversation, but sometimes that doesn't work. This also makes her stubborn because once she sets her mind to something, it's kind of hard to make her change it. Regardless, Ryeyeon always stays respectful. It doesn't matter if youre older, younger, or if you don't get along, Ryeyeon will always hold herself in high regards. Now, just because she's respectful doesn't mean she isn't fiesty. She can make clapbacks just as well as anyone else. She is also full of energy and can be extremely goofy. Traits she may have picked up after years with the Vixx member, especially Ken (Jaehwan), but she doesnt like to see people sad or stressed out, so shes a very good mood maker.
Ryeyeon just like anyone else can be self concious at times. It could be her voice, dance, rap, or even the way she looks. Sometimes she feels like she's not at her best, but just because she's self concious does not mean that she works any less than she should. Infact, there have been time's she pushed herself well beyond her limits for the good of her group and the company, making her one of Nova Media's most loyal trainee.
BACKGROUND —
❃ Born in Seoul, South Korea, Ryeyeon was quickly wisked off to Busan after 1 year. Her mother had dated Change Hee during their college days and had planned to make a future together outside of the medical field. During their fellowship at SNU, the pair took their relationship to a deeper level and conceived Ryeyeon. It sounded like a fairy tail until Chang Hee broke up with her mother because his parent's never approved of their relationship and had created an arranged marriage with a family friend's daughter (Eunji). Broken hearted, Ryeyeon's mother withdrew from the hospital and layed low until giving birth. Ryeyeon's grand parent's on her mothers side werent happy about the birth but when making a living was just too hard in Seoul, the grand parent's took them in, thus the mother daughter duo moved to Busan.
Fast foward, Ryeyeon was 9 years old when her mother suddenly passed away. Ryeyeon was devistated to say the least. Her mother was the one person she had. Her grandparent's had never gotten close to her because they wanted nothing to do with the child they claimed ruined their daughters life. In fact, they wanted nothing to do with her so much that they contacted her father to take her back to Seoul. After the shock of his ex's death, Chang Hee came and took Ryeyeon back to Seoul with him. Ryeyeon moved in with Chang Hee, his wife Eunji, and their 6 year old daughter, under the disuge that she was the daughter of a college friend who had suddenly passed away. While the family rejoiced in having a new member, Ryeyeon's hatered had only just began. She hated that she had to pretend as if she was this stranger adopted into the family, and that her father had abandoned her and her mother for so many years, choosing this life over a life with her and her mother.
Ryeyeon would pick her battles with her father and his new family, but more often than not, Ryeyeon spent her time with her friends, playing volleyball, reading, taking pictures anything to keep her out the house. When she was about 16 years old, Ryeyeon was scouted to join Jellyfish Enterainment for a music video for their newest boy group. Seeing it as a way to make money to move out and also as more time out of the house, Ryeyeon accepted. She did such a good job that towards the end of 2012 she signed a modeling contract with Jellyfish Entertainment and moved into their dorms in 2013 when shed begin lesson. After moving into the dorms, Ryeyeon felt her self becoming considerably more happy, espically now that she didnt have to pretend that she was adotped all the time. Contact with her family slimmed down because between training, music videos,, and school, Ryeyeon just didnt have time for it.

TRAINEE LIFE —
❃ When One Door Closes... Ryeyeon offically joined Jellyfish Ent. in January of 2013. Ryeyeon had already been used to the company thanks to the kindness of the Vixx member's. Ryeyeon's joining was questioned through out the company because she never formally auditioned to be a model. Ken (Jaehwan) had discovered her composition book during one of the groups dinner's at the company. After showing the Ceo, Ryeyeon was switched to vocal, rap, and dance lessons. This also caused much comotion with other trainees who felt that she was being favored. She quickly shut down the questions when she pended her first song "False Hope' for singer Song Ji Eun of Secret, which she had sang the demo for. During her time with the company, Ryeyeon also pended 'I Am a Woman Too' in 2015 for Bang Minah of Girls Day. Following ' I Am a Woman Too' , Ryeyeon was offered a position in a new girl group the company was preparing to create. Ryeyeon traineed along side a few trainees she had met during her time with the company, but in May of 2016, Ryeyeon decided that a trainee by the name of Sally was a better fit for the group as Ryeyeon didn't feel confident enough to debut, especially when two of the members had done a survival show and placed high enough to debut in the show's group ( I.O.I ). That same month, after talking with the Ceo, Ryeyeon canceled her contract because she felt that she wasn't growing in her talent's. The Ceo understood and told her of Nova Media who was having trouble getting themselves out there and worked out an audition...
❃ Another One Opens... In June of 2016, Ryeyeon auditioned for Nova Media by singing 'False Hope'. After talking about how it was a song she pended as well as why she left Jellyfish, the company happily accepted her, with the hopes that even if she didn't debut she would still be able to help create songs for the group. Regardless, Ryeyeon began training with the other trainees that same month. Focusing more on her training, Ryeyeon rarely had time to compose, but that didn't stop her from glancing at all the composition's she created during her time at Jellyfish. She'd often sing them as vocal or rap training but hasn't really created anything else to add. Ryeyeon's stage name 'Reign' came about after the members decided on whether or not to use their real names or not. After alot of thinking, Ryeyeon decided to use a stage name because her real name was uncommon and she'd want an uncommon stage name. She came up with 'Reign' because one of her favorite colors is purple which is associated with royalty, and Ojala would be Nova Media's royalty. Also because she wanted to make an impact with her sound and what better way than with a name like 'Reign'.

SCANDALS —
❃ 2018 / False / Anytime the girls were asked if they were dating, Ryeyeon would laugh and say no. She would then be asked about a V-Live Baekhyun did joking that she was his ideal type when asked if Taeyeon and he were back together. He said no and when asked who his ideal type was he mention Ryeyeon quickly before moving on to a different topic. She'd laugh about how frequently she was asked , but say that her ideal type was someone like Taceyeon (2pm) because she respects him alot.
❃ 2019 / True / Ryeyeon is actually the daughter of board member Kang Chang Hee, of Severance Hospital. The scandal happened after Ryeyeon was spotted leaving a resturant with Chang Hee. It started out as a question as too why the two were meeting , causing worry that ryeyeon was suffering from an injury. The issue was then brought up again later in the year, when the hospital stocks went up due to public investigation (fans) and the hospital had to question Chang Hee's relation to Ryeyeon. The hospital later released the two were father and daughter.
