→ starting off sori's personality on a positive note, she is known for her caring nature. she is very caring of the others around her and takes care of a lot people, especially her friends and family. she hates seeing anyone sad or upset and it makes her feel like she may have done something wrong. sori is also known for her calm aura. she never freaks out over anything and always keeps her cool. she is very chill and comes off as a peaceful person. sori is also known for her gentle ways. she is always very soft and slow with everything she does. if someone she cares for is upset, she will go and talk to them in a subtle manner. or if she is fighting with someone, she will talk in a gentle, calm voice without getting worked up over anything.

→ just as great as sori may seem, she still has a lot of flaws. sori is very private about a lot of things. she doesn't like telling people about her family, mostly because she doesn't want to be judged. she tends to keep a lot of things in the dark like her true feelings about things, tending to bottle them up until they explode in private. sori is also very insecure. she doesn't feel beautiful and has always felt inferior to others around her. she doesn't think there's anything special about her other than her voice, causing her to feel down a lot. lastly, sori is very cautious. she doesn't trust people right away and is kind of walled off from others, making her seem cold when she really isn't. she doesn't like being too forward with people causing her to be quiet about a lot of things.

 

background / 

→ born in seoul, south korea on august 23rd, 1998, kim sori came into this world not knowing her birth parents. sori was given up for adoption at only three months old, leaving no trace of her parents behind. luckily for sori, a sweet international korean couple from australia decided to adopt her only around ten months later. a happy one year old, sori was taken to australia and raised there as yoon sori or sophia yoon, rather than kim sori. growing up, sori always had a love for music. her love for music was usually expressed through her guitar playing and singing, which she began to sing after learning to play the guitar first. always having been a shy, quiet girl, sori mostly kept to herself. she didn't have many friends, spending her time either playing the guitar or trying her best to get her school work done on time.

→ by the time sori was seventeen, she was given the chance to visit south korea with her adoptive parents. fairly excited, sori accepted and joined them for summer vacation in south korea. it was during this vacation that sori decided to audition at rainbow bridge world with her cousin, yoon yeojin. unfortunately, rainbow bridge world only was interested in sori, rejecting yeojin for a second audition. unsure, sori only went back to the follow-up audition with the encouragement of her parents. amazingly, the audition went well and sori was offered a trainee contract of two years. deciding this was what she wanted, sori signed the contract and began training at eighteen years old; starting her training in the summer of 2016, after her graduation. living with, her cousin, yeojin's family, sori has been training with rainbow bridge world ever since.

though she did have one close friend in australia, sori really only talks with her cousin, yeojin. the two initially bonded about two years ago over their love of music; sori being interested in singing and the guitar, while yeojin was more interested in singing and the piano. yeojin is more outgoing than sori, being a lot more talkative in social situations. the two are really close, yeojin being an older sister of sorts to sori. the two often text and send each other videos of great songs they found on youtube.

tRAINEE Life / 

→ training has been both amazing and difficult for sori. she is an experienced vocalist, so vocal and rap lessons were easy for her. however, dance lessons were kind of a nightmare and still are. sori really can't dance, well at all to be honest. she dances like she's got two left feet and it takes her a long time just to learn a single choreography. sori's getting better at dancing but, she's still not the best. as she has only trained for a little over a year at rbw, sori still has a lot of improving to do. (hence why this section is so little, she kinda just became a trainee not that long ago lol)
