After years of just studying, Naeun is a very smart girl. Even with being kicked out of class all the time, she still maintains one of the highest grades in her class, which often leads to rumors of her cheating. Shes always taking different test than other students just so they can't say she cheated, wich often leads Naeun to be even more aggressive because shes constantly defending herself physically, emotionally, and academically. I mean Naeun is already fiesty, giving of tons of spice and sass to anyone that calls for it. The girls got a mouth and shes not afraid to tell it like it is, making her one of the schools most outspoken students. 

However, Nauen is extemely stubbon and only does things that benifit her or the ones close to her. Her being stobborn often gets on her teachers nerves as well as some of her friends, because no matter how hard they try sometimes they arent able to make her give up on whatever it is shes being stubborn about. No matter how stubborn she is, she still remains respectful to her elders, even at times it doesnt look or feel like she is. She still bows, she still greets them, she even helps out the elders in the neighbohood from time to time, because she really does have a good heart.  Shes extremly loyal. She looks out for those she keeps close to her because those are the ones that look out for her, even when she isnt around. 

At times you catched Naeun looking detached, that when you know shes not interested. She'll totally check out and drift into her own thought, but even then shes still being observant of everything going on around her, making her able to adapt to anysituation that might surface. You wouldnt know it but Naeun is actually very competitive. It's another attribute she got from her father. Her adrenaline just starts pumping and she just moves, but this also plays a part in her being very critical. Critical in herself and those she helps. She's just trying to be the best her for herself, and she often gets in her head alittle to much because shes never had someone just say hey, youre fine the way you are. Atleast not since moving to Seoul. Her father was often the one that called her beautiful and smart and everything else because he wanted her to grow up thinking positive of her self. Just the thought of her dad often makes her sentimental. She actually has a chest hidden in her closet filled with pictures and objects her father gave her or reminded her of him. Even though they dont talk, shes extremely protective of her dad and hates when people, espically her mother try to talk bad about him because no matter what, that was the first man to ever show her true love.

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Born in Raliegh, North Carolina, Naeun had a happy childhood. She spent every minute with her parents. They went to the beach, amusement parks, you name it, they did it. Untill a little after Naeun's 6th birthday, when her parents split up and she was moved to South Korea with her mother. Naeun often cried because she no longer saw her father. Instead of her mother being compassionate, she told her to it up. Her mother often expressed that men were no good and she should never fall for anyone, that school was the only thing to help her make a life for herself. Soon after her mother hired the best tutors she could and Naeun spent her days after school studying. It was around that time that Naeun started seeing less of her mother, as she started to spend more time working with her clients. 

When Naeun turned 14, she fired her tutors and started spending more time outside. Going to cafe's, bookstore, neighborhood parks, and the marine park that changed her life. One day she had choose to check out a marine park little ways from Seoul. While walking around, a guy and his friends approched her, trying to talk to her. When she told the guy she wasnt interested and started walking away, the guy swiftly grabbed her arm and pulled her into a kiss. Obviously, she slapped the guy, but a group of girls watching from afar approched her, angry that she had "approached" the guy and came on to him and then had the nerve to slap him. The group of girls didn't believe a word out of Naeun, and the guy in question had used this as his oppotunity to leave. That was the day Naeun had her first fight, noone ever stepping up to defend her. She somehow made it to the dolphin exhibit and ended up crying by the water, when a girl around her age made her apperance, came and started tending to her wounds and asked if she wanted to be friends. Naeun spent the rest of the day learning all about the parks dolphins. When the park closed the girl asked if she wanted to go somewhere with her and since Naeun would just be going back home to an empty house, she agreed. That was the first time Naeun had ever worn make up and dressed up. 

The girl had brought Naeun to a local club, and with the clothes and make up, they passed through security with ease. They drank. They dance. And Naeun enjoyed it all so much that it just became a habbit. School during the day and clubbing during the night. It was like she could be two different people and noone one would know the difference. Clubs became her second home and she loved the feeling of being in control, being wanted by all the guys and being the envy of all the girls. Of course being the center of attention at clubs lead to a ton of petty club fights and they surely didn't stop when the she started dating one of the club hotties, Kim Youjin.

⟪ SCHOOL LIFE ⟫

Every morning has to start out with tea, iced, cold, doesnt matter she needs it. If she doesnt she becomes extremly irritable and the sligtest of things can tick her off. She actually has her licence and drives herself to school. Naeun is a good student, gemnerally making it to all of her classes on time, that is when the female student body isnt trying her patience by trying to intimidate her or bullying her bestfriend Yuri. When she is in class, she doesnt read the text book, or take notes, infact she doesnt pay attention to the lessons at all, she's actually reading one of her favorite books. This obviously doesnt go over well with the class because she ends up kicked out of class for being disruptive. During lunch, she sits with Yuri and her childhood friend Yoonho and his group of friends. After school she spends and hour usually, sometimes two in detention for the fights that shes gotten into over the day. When she gets out of detention she spends some time with Yuri, shopping, going to the movies, helpping Yuri study, whhatever they decide before she spends the rest of her night clubbing.

Ever since moving back from the states, shes focused more on work than her daughter. She only asks that Naeun stay out of trouble and keeps her grades up, so that she wont have something else her family can use against her for judgement. Other than a few post its around the house and texts when woring out of town orthe country, the two have virtually no communication. She has absolutely no knowledge of Naeuns nightlife. 

→ Father, Kang Daniel ⋮ 34 ⋮ Freelance Writer / Retired Volleyball Player ⋮ Supportive, Caring ⋮ Currently trying to rebuild the relationship after spending 5 plus years out of contact. He stays in the US, so he also has no knowledge of Naeuns night life.

Theyve been inseperable ever since.  She's like the little sister Naeun never had. She doesnt approve of Naeuns night life and constantly worries about her safety. She'll be torn over cheering for her best friend or her sister, Seo Yuna (AOA).

He has no idea about Naeun's night life. He'll cheer Naeun on because she comes to his games with Yuri.

He dosent like people putting their hands on whats his, and even if they arent together, it dosent stop him from making it look like it to everyone else when they happen to be at the same club. Continually trying to get back with Naeun, often uses force, leaving bruises she has to hide. Girls throw themselves at him, but he only wants Naeun, and what he wants, he gets..... (but he really wont get Naeun back)
