youtube comments of "army spotted!" - a rant

Okay so this is really just a heat of the moment rant that I may delete

So I'm like multi-fandom (but I must say I probably take my fandoms more seriously than most "multi stans" nowadays, it takes me minimum 2 years to add a new fandom since my first which is Cassiopeia, because I need that much time to decide that this group is worth my commitment of emotions and time and occasionally money as well). And my youngest stan is BTS. My oldest stan is Sechskies. My longest stan is DBSK. My current largest stan is SJ (mainly because they're coming back lol).

And dude, I'm not shy to say that BTS is possibly my lowest priority in terms of emotional attachment. I got to know for the shortest time (I knew them since debut but only became a fan in late 2015), and they are the least tied to my emotional ups & downs (DBSK's lawsuits had me literally crying on a daily basis when I first started stanning, SJ's bunch of issues give me heartaches and I'd straight up cry in public because of something they do, Sechskies is just really weird because they're a 1st gen idol that I never thought I would pay attention to but end up falling super hard because of their hilarious personality, great music -both old & new, which is surprising- and also because how I strongly wish DBSK & SJ will be able to reunite like them in the future, I burst into tears watching their Mudu while imaging its all 5 of DBSK the first time I watched it, and the next time I watched it I cried again with the knowledge of how this group has suffered). I don't see a single problem with that. I met BTS when I'm basically a very complete person (unlike how I was pretty much in pieces when I encountered kpop, dbsk & sj), they played a very minor role in making me whole. My basis of liking them is built on music, an aspect that has became important to me after having 2 fandoms so I became very selective of the groups i pay attention to. Simply being great human beings is not a good enough reason for me to stan anymore because dude I can't commit to that much people.

Music is what fundamentally attracted me to BTS (I would say I enjoy their music more than I even enjoy DBSK & SJ's music at times? Like dbsj's music is always special to me but it's usually not for a casual listen, their ballads will trigger lots of memories and distract me a lot, their dance songs will hype me too much when I have violent #tbt moments of my 15 year old self being an idiot and I usually fangirl subconsciouly in public LOL). BTS songs, on the other hand, is great for the casual listening. It doesn't trigger too much memories, the music itself is well written, produced and carried, it has meaningful lyrics that sometimes get me thinking, and sometimes it's a music I'm so familiar with so I can tune it out mentally to a low volume and focus on my work without being distracted. It works great and I'm pretty happy with it. The fact that they're great people, hilarious on their own shows, are so popular that their stuff is everywhere so it's pretty easy to stay updated because they have so many fansites and accounts (my ins used to be spammed by their updates, so many times similar accounts would post the exact same thing in a row like lol ok young groups and their fandoms), all these comes as a bonus for their music and stanning the group.

But it gets annoying sometimes.

I used to put my youtube dp & username as bts (more accurately, jimin) related. I changed the username after a while simply because SJ is coming back so I figured an appropriate username can help promote them, but kept the dp as a jimin picture (it's a really aesthetic pic of jimin with pink hair in a pale blue sweater, it's a lovely picture that I have no problem with seeing everytime I open youtube). But the problem comes with the comments.

The comments.

I comment a lot on youtube, esp on particular channels. Videos like chinese variety shows of celebrity dectectives (the chinese version of Crime Scene), videos like overall kpop commentaries etc. Videos that have zero relation to BTS.

My comment could be a full on analysis of this (acted out) murder, of who I predict the murderer would be and why I think so according to how he acts, how his words don't match up and how he has a strong intention to get rid of the victim. Etc. Completely zero relation with BTS. Zero. Nothing.

Comments below would mainly be a discussion adding to my comment. We trade opinions of why this prediction sounds valid or not. Of whether this is sort of a 'bug' in the set up. Etc. But without fail, there will ALWAYS be such a comment.

"army spotted!" "are you an army too?" "omg ur dp! i love bts too!"

And to be accurate, this time round the most recent comment (that sparked this whole rant) gathered like, 4 similar contents.

And I'm ing pissed.

This video has no relation to BTS.

This comment has no relation to BTS.

If you came to watch this video, discuss this video.

If you love my dp, I'd appreciate a DM or sth, but stay out of the comment section.

Its ridiculous to be updated for something half as stupid as this.

Sweetheart. Take your out of a comment section that has something else to talk about. Bring yourself to a BTS video. Chat with armys looking for friends there. Not under a non-BTS comment for a non-BTS video, from a BTS fan that happens to enjoy discussing non-BTS things as well.

Just stop.

I can't ing believe I have to change my dp to a non BTS picture just because of these people seriously.

Ok yeah I'm done ranting.

But seriously these young fans need to stop.

actually it's understanding to feel bothered by that, but I hope you didn't see a whole community badly based on this. they are maybe happy seeing their equal, and since you are not big fan I think it's normal to feel annoyed. It's crazy isn't it? seeing army everywhere.
