PERSONALITY :　

-It is nearly impossible to get this girl to stop talking. You dont even need to be listening to her, she will ramble on about nothing. She never gets tired of talking and cant last more than 10 minutes without talking.  However she sometimes talks too much that she often forgets what she was talking about in the first place.  She often goes on a tangent and starts talking about irrelevant things. Hyerim is the type of person who is able to go up to a random stranger on the street and start a full conversation that could last for who knows how long.  She even talks in her sleep.

-Hyerim is very reliable. She is always there when you need her whether it's a shoulder to cry on or just a little cheering up.  She hates not seeing a smile on her members faces and will try to do anything to make them smile.  She is honest and the type of person who looks at both the small and big picture.  She keeps your secrets and promises to the grave and never leaves you hanging.  Hyerim is willing to do anything for you without expecting anything in return but this sometimes ends up as Hyerim getting taken advantage of.

-Hyerim is very weird and 4-Dimensional person.  She thinks of things that normal people would never think of.  Sometimes she gets stuck in her own 4-D world, zones out, and blurts out stuff that doesn't make any sense and confuses those around her.  She likes to perform weird dances and does parody singing or sings in weird voices.  Her ideas only seem genius in her head but when she actually goes through with those ideas, she gets laughed and made fun of because theyre so weird and sometimes stupid.

- Once Hyerim sets her mind to it, she will accomplish it.  Hyerim doesn't believe in giving up.  She knows that she will face obstacles, but she must get up and continue.  She believes life is too short on giving up. 

- after being cut from multiple groups, hyerim had developed very low self-esteem. she doesnt believe that she is good enough and rejects compliments given to her. it's not because she is trying to be modest, she truly believes that she doesnt deserve the compliments given to her.

-overthinking is nothing new to hyerim.  she often loses sleep over small things such as if she said the right thing, why someone did what they did, what would happen if she acted differently. this leads hyerim to get bery stressed easily and overwhelmed

-If you told Hyerim that there is a new breed of dogs that talk, she would 100% believe you. This makes her very exposed and easy to play tricks and pranks on her.  Many people like to make fun of her becuase of her being so gullible.  Many believe that her being gullible is because she is dumb, but in actuality, she easily trusts people which often gets her hurt in the end.

-If you ever win a game against this girl, she will forever hold a grudge against you.  She takes everything as a competition and always strives to be number one.  If things dont go her way, she throws mini tantrums which makes people call her a sore-loser.  During variety shows, instead of focusing on entertainment and making people laugh, she focuses solely on the actualy competition.

-Hyerim gets very emotional. She often cries both good and bad tears, especially when watching a sad movie or winning an award.  She is always the first to cry and will cry the longest. laughing and cryin within the same hour is quite common for hyerim. even the emotions of others affect her, if they feel upset, so will she. She shows her emotions through her body.  If she is sad, she will have slouched shoulders and a pout on her face, when she is happy, she shows it through dancing.
 

BACKGROUND :　

- On October 28th, 1994, Hyerim was born in Sokcho, South Korea.  However at the age of 1, her father was laid off work so her parents had decided to send Hyerim to her aunt in Melbourne, Australia in hope of a better and more comfortable life.  At first, Hyerim would only cry every day for her parents, but slowly, her aunt became her parental figur as she raised her as her own child.  She learned Korean as her first language since she started learning while she still lived in S.Korea and her aunt spoke Korean at home as well.  She quickly learned English becoming fluent just as she ahd with Korean.  There was a time when she was 4 and she visited S.Korea to see her real parents but she cried when she saw them because she couldnt recognize them and saw them as strangers.

-Hyerim was a very quiet child, as her aunt was loving but very strict. Hyerim's aunt wanted Hyerim to grow up to be a proper woman with good manners.  This led Hyerim to only speak when she was spoken to. Then School began.  She went to a small school with 200 kids in each grade so she quickly got to know who everyone was.  At first, Hyerim was a quiet wallflower with a few friends but when middle school started, She decided that she didnt want to be this quiet girl anymore so she just let herself go.  Since she wasn't able to express herself at home, she expressed herself at school.  She was a ball of energy, constantly getting in trouble by teachers for talking.  She was one of the only asian kids attending the school, so she stood out from the other kids. Some kids would call her names and makes fun of her for being asian, but she didn't care as she was happy being her.  

-The Love for music started when Hyerim's aunt put her in piano lessons at the age of 6, Hyerim had decided then that she was going to pursue music.  A year later, she started flute lessons.  At age 9, she joined orchestra and learned the Cello.  She was addicted to learning new instruments.  She also had a huge passion for singing, taking part in her school chorus and plays, as well as the local theatre.

-When she was 14, she had auditioned for SM Ent. and passed, becoming a trainee and moving back to S.Korea, even though her aunt was against her decision.  She had occasionally met with her real parents but she was always very formal with them, still not treating them as her parents and more like strangers, even though they try hard to become close to her.  Living in S.Korea made Hyerim feel like a foreigner in her own homeland.  She knew the language, but there was a culture difference. She couldnt adjust to Korean life and people would always be rude to her is she did something they deemed disrespectful or weird when it was perfectly normal in Australia such as talking informally to a stranger or making eye contact, or showing skinship (touching a shoulder or arm).  She felt very isolate and felt as if she didnt belong in  S.Korea.  She didnt have many friends, except those she befriended in SM.  During her time in SM, shse was set to debut in multiple groups yet was never able to actually debut.  She was majorly depressed and showed her feelings though what she loved most, music.  She started writing her songs as a cry for help.  Feeling as if she had no future, she decided to leave SM and started auditioning again, the earliest audition being held belonged to YG Ent.  After she had passed the auditions, she started the tiring trainee life all over again.

RELATIONSHIPS :　

▸ Aunt — Lee Minhee (53) / Nurse / strict, kind, intelligent / 6/10
Hyerim has always treated Minhee more as her mother than her aunt however, ever since Hyerim left for S.Korea, their relationship has never been the same.  Minhee was against Hyerims decision to puruse being an idol so there has always been a gap between them ever since she left australia.  Hyerim now acts awkward whenever she talks to her aunt on the phone as there is a hint of guilt from leaving her aunt.

▸ Father — Cho Jangyul (49) / Construction Worker / Hard-working, friendly, reliable/ 3/10
Jangyul is always busy so her rarely gets to see Hyerim but he tries to spend as much time with ehr as possible.  Even with his small paycheck, he finds a way to buy Hyerim clothes and other items in order to get closer to her.  He always has a smile when he sees Hyerim an is very proud of his daughter, despite not being apart of her childhood.  However, Hyerim feels as if she should be very formal towards her parents and therefore keeps herself from getting close with them.

▸ Mother — Cho Miyoung (47) / Waitress / Soft-Spoken, warm, thoughtful / 4/10
Miyoung isnt rich however she carries the aura of a rich, sophisticated woman, making Hyerim feel very inimidated by this aura whcih makes Hyerim reluctant to open herself up to her mother.  Miyoung tries very hard to become close to Hyerim and always sneds Hyerim food or health items to make sure Hyerim is healthy.  Hyerim has a fear of disappointing her parents which contributes to her reluctance of getting close with them.

▸ Best Friend — Bae Juhyun [Irene] (26) / Member of Red Velvet /shy, introverted, kind/ 10/10
They first met as trainees in SM in 2009.  Hyerim had noticed that Juhyun didn't have many trainee friends since she appeared cold and didn't speak much due to her Daegu dialect so Hyerim had approached Juhyun first. Their personalities matched very well since Hyerim would do most of the talking.  They quickly became very close. Juhyun is the older sister that Hyerim has never had.  Juhyun is the number one person Hyerim always go to if she has a problem and trusts Juhyun with her life. Hyerim still calls Juhyun by her real name since she will always be the quiet trainee, Bae Juhyun to Hyerim.

▸ Brotherly Figure — Kim Jongwoon [Yesung]  (33) / Member of Super Junior / jubilant, weird, outgoing / 9/10
Hyerim was a trainee when she first met Yesung.  They have very similar perseonalities so through the few times they met, they got close.  Even though Hyerim was only a trainee as opposed to Yesung who was famous and successful in Super Junior, they began hanging out with Yesung claiming that Hyerim is his long lost sister.  Even when he was busy with his schedule, Yesung always took time to check on Hyerim and make sure she was healthy.  Yesung has 'adopted' Hyerim calls her his little sister. He is also her number one fan.

▸ Forever crush and close friend— Lee Donghae (31) / Member of Super Junior/ childish, warm, sensitive / 9/10
He was the first Super Junior member to catch Hyerims eye when they debted and became her celebrity crush ever since (which gets Yesung jealous and overprotective).  Although they met a few times running into each other in the company building, they never got to know each other until Hyerim became close to Yesung.  Donghae's childlike personality fits well with Hyerims personality and he is always able to put a smile on her face.  He will be her forever crush.

TRAINEE YEARS :　8 years (6 years at SM, 2 at YG) 

TRAINEE LIFE :

▸Hyerim began training in 2008 at the age of 14.  She came to Korea all by herself, not familiar with the culture, though fortunately she knew the language.  She would cry every day because she felt she didn't fit in and was so lonely, though she slowly got accostumed to the Korean culture. 
▸SM had plans for her and she was set to debut in f(x). She felt as if she finally found her place however she didn't make the cut as SM believed she wasn't ready yet to debut.  Hyerim was crushed, especially seeing the girls who she had gotten close with debut without her.  
▸Hyerim would train 6 days a week, spending her mondays getting tutored and the rest of the week she would spend all of her day rigorously training.  After 5 years, Hyerim finally had another opportunity to debut in Red Velvet. However, it had been decided that she was cut from the group as she lost to Wendy who got to debut instead of her.  Hyerim had no hope left and decided to leave SM feeling as if she had no future there.
▸ Hyerim took a short month break and started to audition again.  She had spent her whole teenage life training and she wasn't going to give up.  She then passed the auditions for YG, starting the trainee life all over again.  Although she was starting fresh, she was still depressed.  She had started from square one again and felt like a total beginner to training even though she had trained 6 years prior.  She kept a distance from the other YG trainees.  She had gotten hurt before from getting close with other trainees and having to deal with them leaving her due to quitting or debuting so she didn't want to deal with the painful experience again. She did help the other trainees such as mentoring or staying late to help with dancing and singing, but that was it.  She didn't want to get too close to them.  Some trainees thought she was arrogant, thinking she was better than everyone else and didn't deem anyone worthy enough of being her friend, so trainees also kept their distance from her.  Hyerims close friends were busy with their hectic schedules and didn't have anytime to spend with her, making Hyerim feel as if she was truly along.   She finally had the chance to debut again in PinkPunk, having her slowly turn back to her talktative and cheerful self.

I'm from Australia by the way! Well I was born in Sokcho, but when I was 1, I moved to Australia to my aunt and came back to South Korea in 2007? Or maybe 2008? Im pretty sure it ws 2008.  I trained in SM for aboout 6 years and was set to debut in a few groups but didnt, obviously, or else I wouldn't be here with my babies, PinkPunk. I really can't imagine my life without them. I've made so many great memories and can't wait to make many more" I smiled even bigger as a particular memory came to mind "Like this one time, I was playing a video game with Yeollie. And I lost! Unbelievable! I think she cheated though because one moment I was winning, and somehow I lost! Don't let her billion-dollar smile fool you! But anyway, as a type of revenge, I printed out over 100 pictures of frogs and taped them all over her room. She absolutely hates frogs!" I could barely breath as I was laughing too hard remembering her reaction when she saw her room "It took her a week to take all of them down!" My manager, Hyungjae,  pointed to his watch a couple times. I guess I talked too much again "So I hope you support and love each and every one of us!" I waved with both my hands to the camera

▸ "I'm one of the main vocalists in PinkPunk,  so I sing" I stated matter of factly. Isn't my role in the group pretty self-explanatory? "Oh, the members call me an assassin so is that considered a role?" I could see the camera crew furrowing their eyebrows together in confusion "I dont actually kill anyone I promise! They just tell me I have the 'aura of an assassin'. I dont even know what that means to be honest. I mean I scare them sometimes when I'm trying to smell them but it's not my fault, they just dont notice Im behind them. You know who really smells good? The baby of our group, the maknae. I think she smells the best." Hyungjae caught the corner of my eye mouthing something to me. Leader? "Ah! That's right! I'm also the leader of PinkPunk. You know how the leaders are usually the oldest? Well PinkPunk is not one of those groups. Yeollie is actually the eldest, even if she has a baby face. I guess you can say that I'm the mediator of the group? I take care of the other members and make sure that we live in harmony. If the members ever get into a fight, I make sure they make up before the end of the day."

▸ I felt my face lighten up. "The Queen of confidence. The Nation's Fairy. Lee Hyori- sunbaenim!" I applauded by myself.  She seriously is perfect. I was only 4 when Fink.L debuted but I was absolutely in love with them. I would turn on the tv and sing and dance along with them.  And Lee Hyori has this overflowing confidence that no one is. She doesn't follow the usual 'Korean Beauty Standards' and she's proud of who she is. Like her song 'Miss Korea'. Wow...she is just such an inspirational role model." I should probably mention a YG artist too since they are my family. "Also, Epik High Sunbaenims. I grew up listening to them and being in the same company as them is still so surreal.  They seriously are so creaive. Fun fact, Epik High sunbaenims was in one of Lee Hyori's music videos" I let out a laugh at my useless knowledge."But Epik High Sunbaenims really take care of the other artists in YG. Sometimes, Tablo sunbaenim brings Haru to the company and she is absolutely the cutest! Ayy~ forget about Epik High sunbaenims, my role model is Haru.  She's so young but she has so much swag. She is truly the YG queen"

▸ A wave of sadness hit me with the question. "Truthfully, I would want to collaborate with Red Velvet sunbaenim. I had always thought about being on stage with the girls of Red Velvet, I had trained so hard with them, yet wasn't able to debut with them." I gave the camera a small smile "My best friend is actually Juhyun.  We were close ever since 2009 when she first became a trainee. And now she's Red Velvet's Irene."  To be honest, it still hurt knowing my friends had already debuted, leaving me behind. I wasn't jealous, it's just been lonely.  "Now I can't wait to share the stage with her.  Red Velvet Hwaiting! PinkPunk Hwaiting!"

LAST WORDS :　First of all, hi! I hope you like Hyerim! I based her talkative and weird personality traits off of Suju's Yesung because i just fell in love with him again after the recent Suju comeback. Also Donghae looks like an angel from heaven from I couldn't just forget about him! (I wouldve added more members but theres already enough of Suju)  I know theres alot of SM on here, it's just that Hyerim spent most of her trainee life in SM and made a lot of friends whereas she distanced herself in YG.  I also hope it's okay that Hyerim had trained for so long.  I got the idea from so many idols who had basically trained for nearly half their life.
