APPEARENCE & LOOKS: Bitna often not thought to be the maknae of the group as she has a more mature look to her.  Bitna is your typical Korean beauty standing at the average height of 167.6 cm (yes...the .6 matters) and weighing 47 kgs.  She has a slender figure which she worked very hard on and gains weight easily, forever being on a diet to maintain her figure.  She has milky white skin that scars easily, resulting in multiple scars on her hands and fingers from using a kitchen knife and any other sharp appliance (ex. scissors) and a fefw scars on her legs and arms from falling and other injuries.  She has a few small beauty marks on her lower right jaw and right collarbone (which she calls the 'beauty sisters') She has slighty wavy black hair that has never been dyed as she is afraid she won't look good with a different hair color.  Additionally, she has a total of 7 piercings: a standard lobe, upper lobe, and helix piercings on both ears, and a tragus peicring on her right ear.

FASHION & STYLE: Bitna is known as a 'fashion terrorist' of the group.  She is always seen wearing the same clothes, some even have holes or stains because she wears them too much.  Bitna use to be overweight in the past, which is the reason why she hates going shopping for clothes and thus, always wearing the same clothes.  She has trauma because everytime she woud have a hard time finding clothes in her size and when she would try on clothes, they wouldnt fit her.  Now she's afraid of trying on clothes and experiencing the same thing. Bitna wears loose and baggy clothes, being conservative in what she wears, not weaering colors that are too bright so she wont stand out.  The only time she wears revealing clothes are for performances, but she always asks her stylist to make them less revealing.

PERSONALITY:

Bitna can easily be mistaken for an extrovert as she is very talkative and outgoing. But she just needs some times to be by herself to recharge.  Once she is recharged, it is nearly impossible to get this girl to stop talking.  She really values conversations with other people, especially when the conversations get deep. She likes to learn how everyone is different and the different backgrounds everyone comes from since she didn't have much friends growing up.  The only life she knows is her lonely childhood and a rough trainee life. She really tries to learn everything about that person so she asks a lot of questions.  However sometimes she talks to much, forgetting what she was talking about in the first place. She enjoys talking so much that she even talks in her sleep.

Bitna really cherishes her members and friends since she didn't have many growing up so she is really willing to do anything for them.  She will drop everything she's doing for them and will adjust her schedule to make it easier for everyone. Coming from a poor background, Bitna has faced many hardships so she doesn't want anyone else to face the same hardships.  She moves around so no one else has to. But sometimes this ends up as Bitna getting taken advantage of or taken for granted of. 

Often being seen as weird, Bitna has a very creative mind, thinking of things that normal people usually dont think of.  Sometimes she gets stuck in her own creative mind, leading to zoning out. Being as she didn't have a lot of toys as a child, Bitna has used her mind to entertain herself. Now, she will sometimes say a comment out loud to entertain herself, but will confuse those around her. It's as if she has a little 'inside joke' with herself.  She amuses herself but this sometimes makes people believe she is odd.

Bitna adapts her personality to those around her.  She sees the situation she's in, and changes her personality accordingly. It allows her to be easy-going and comfortable for those around her, making it easy to make friends. She's open-minded, open to change and difference, and embraces people who are different.

Emotions can often overpower Bitna. If she's happy, shes absolute ecstatic and nothing can ruin her day.  If she's mad, you can literally see steam come our of her ears.  But this also means that Bitna cries more than she would like to admit. Sometimes she feels like anything can make her cry, not necassarily making her upset. It could be a simple conversation where she feels the tears welling up in her eyes. Bitna is also very mindful of other people, feeling their emotions. If someone is embarassed, she can feel their embarassment.  This makes her more aware of the people around her, deeply concerned about their feelings.

Being previously made fun of because of how she looks, Bitna became very insecure about herself. She isn't confident in herself and feels as if she has to hide part of herself. Even when she talks, she is very careful about what she talks about.  She is always in fear of judgemet and feels like she is always being judged. She never thinks she's good enough and rejects compliments given to her. It's not because she is trying to mdest, she truly believes that she doesn't deserve the compliments given to her because they're not true. This also makes her self-critical. She always compares herself with those around her and always comes up short. She is just not satisfied with herself. 

Overthinking is exhausting, literally. Bitna often loses sleep over small things such as if she said the right thing, why someone did what they did, or what would happen if she acted differently. Bitna tries to find meaning in everything, over analyzing everything. Her inner child comes out when she is overthinking. She always wants to know the 'why'. Why is it hot out today. Why she shouldn't talk to strangers. Why she shouldnt give candy out to children. This often leads her to ponder the meaning of life.   

Bitna craves affection, always looking for more whether its a pat on the head or a hug or holding hands. She loves love. When she wants affection, she always goes to the mom of the group and acts cute for affection. Bitna was a lonely child so she's making up for all the affection she didn't have now. Once someone gives her affection, she will cling on to that person, always following them until they stop giving her affection. Then she will move on to someone else to give her affection.

Bitna is an absolute perfectionist. She pays meticulous attention to details and is very organized. Everything has a place and there is a place for everything. However this often leads to Bitna nagging the other members. Despite being the youngest, if she sees a member leave a mess, she find hunt them down and scold them.

Chapter 1: The Beginning: Oh Bitna liked to imagine herself entering the world by riding a big slide out of her mom on the fateful day of January 10, 2000.  She was born in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon, South Korea.  Bitna, unfortunately, was born into a family that was poor, but Bitna hadn;t noticed growing up as she thought it was normal to not have a lot of money. She became the daughter of Oh Jaesuk and Oh Miyoung and the younger sister of the queen herself, Oh Bona, who was three years older. 

People would practically bow down to Bona, She was able to get anything she wanted with her good looks and her sweet words. Bitna, on the other hand, was a chubby girl who would barely talk to anyone.  She would constantly get compared to Bona, how could a princess like Bona be related to the overweight, nearly mute Bitna.  But despite all the comparisons, Bona was a very caring and loving older sister to Bitna.


Chapter 2: The Sob Story: Tragedy struck the Oh family. Bitna's father, Jaesuk, was constantly worried about money and heavily smoked cigarettes to relieve the stress.  Eventually, he was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2004 when Bitna was 4.  They had moved to Sokcho, Gangwon-do for a better hospital specialized in lung cancer.  Medical bills piled up and loans were being taken out.  Her father had fought for 2 years until the angels took him to heaven.  Only 6, Bitna had not yet understood the concept of death.  She had just thought her father was taking a long nap. 

Her mother, Miyoung, had to take multiple jobs to support the family.  Bona, who was 9, would occasionally go with her mom to her jobs after school and help work but most of the times she would watch after Bitna.  Both girls would clean up the house and help out their mother as much as a 10 and 6 year old could.  It was lonely without their mother or father, but atleast they had each other.  During these times Bona had developed a strong sisterly bond during these times, only able to rely on one another.


Chapter 3: Growing up with Bona: Bitna was an extremely quiet child growing up. She didnt need to talk because Bona was her voice for her and always spoke for Bitna from talking to cashiers at the grocery store to aunts and uncles visiting the two girls. Just being with Bona is one of Bitna's favorite childhood memories. Bona was one of the main reasons why Bitna became an idol. Bona was a fan of DBSK, Super Junior, and Big Bang, eventually getting Bitna into them too.The two girls would put on mini concerts performing DBSK, Super Junior , and Big Bang songs for their exhausted mother, Bona being the singer and Bitna rapping. Bitna really enjoyed rapping and performing their mini concerts. Bitna was able to express herself through rapping.


Chapter 4: School Life: Bitna absolutely hated going to school.  She was poor, overweight, and quiet, so not many people wanted to be friends with her.  Kids are mean. Some even made fun of her weight and was constantly told that she was the adopted sister of the beautiful Bona, or was a disappointment to her parents.  Her parents were hoping for another beautiful girl, but instead got stuck with her. Some would even go as saying that the reason why her father passed away was to get away from her.  


Chapter 5: Becoming a Trainee:  Bitna was only 10 when she became a trainee.  She was grocery shoppinig with 13 year old Bona when Bona was approached by SM scouts. However Bona turned them down as she didn't want to live the idol life.  They then turned to Bitna. Maybe if she lost the weight, she too would be beautiful like her older sister. Bitna, innocently thinking about being rich and giving money to her struggling mother, had agreed and went to audition. Although her rapping skills were not the best, they were decent enough to get Bitna to pass. Leaving Bona and her mother behind in Sokcho, Bitna moved to Seoul, living in one of SM's dorms. Trainee life began and Bitna faced the harsh reality of the trainee life.

Chapter 6: The Struggle: Once she joined, Bitna was immdiately put on a strict diet. Only one meal a day. It was effective as Bitna soon lost weight, becoming the pretty girl that the scouts had hoped for.  Bitna had transformed into a completely different person while at SM. Bona wasn't there to be Bitna's voice, so Bitna had to find her own voice. Turns out, Bitna can be quite talktative and often got in trouble by the training instructors for talking too much. Years had passed and Bitna had gotten close to many of the trainees, especially Bae Juhyun, the now Irene of Red Velvet.  Juhyun had lived in the same dorm building as Bitna, and often took care of Bitna like a mother. 

It was 2014 when Bitna was being considered for the lineup of Red Velvet. Her rapping skills had improved significantly since she started training and she was a good dancer.  But ultimately she was cut from the group.  Bitna was crushed, especially seeing the girls who she had gotten close with debut without her. Bitna began feeling extremely self-consious with herself, trying to figure out why she wasn't able to debut. Everytime she looked in the mirror, all she saw was disappointment. This mentality eventually led Bitna to become anorexic. She thought she wasn't able to debut because she still wasn't skinny enough and she was afriad to be the same overweight girl she was before.

 A year later, SM had decided to add another girl to Red Velvet. Bitna was one of the girls they had chosen who might debut with Red Velvet, but yet again she was cut from the lineup, losing to Kim Yerim, or the now Red Velvet's Yeri. Bitna had no hope left and decided to leave SM, feeling as if she had no future there. She went back to Sokcho, where she was finally able to get to a healthy weight again. The trainee life was toxic, but still Bitna wanted to become an idol. Her mother was still struggling with money and Bitna truly did enjoy rapping and dancing. 

Chapter 7: New Start: After spending 3 months at home, Bitna became restless.  She auditioned for the first company that was holding auditions, Bit Hit.  And so, the tiring trainee life started all over again.  Althought she was starting fresh, she was a little depressed.  She had started from square one again and felt like a total beginner to training even though she had trained 5 years prior. It was 3 tiring years until she finally had another opportunity to debut in Bighit's new girl group, Stellar.

They first met as trainees in SM when Bitna first became a trainee. Despite how shy Juhyun was, she was the one who approached Bitna first as she was only 10 years old as Juhyun believed that she should take care of the young girl.  Juhyun claims to have raised Bitna herself, from cooking meals for Bitna to doing her laundry to making sure Bitna is healthy and getting enough sleep. She was the one who woke up Bitna and got her ready for school and she was the one who tucked Bitna in at night. Juhyun was more involved in Bitna's life more than her own mother, and Bitna sees Juhyun as a motherly figure to her. Some netizens believe that Bitna is Juhyun's secret daughter since they look similar. 
Even when Juhyun was busy promoting with Red Velvet, she would still check on Bitna and make sure she's healthy While Bitna acts like the grandmother of Stellar, towards Juhyun, she acts like a total baby. She shows a lot of aegyo and cuteness towards Juhyun and is constantly looking for Juhyun's affections.

Although he doesn't show it, deep down he does have a soft spot for the girl as he secretly checks up on the her.

Bitna gets intimidated by Namjoon since he's so smart. She doesn't want to appear dumb in front of him and she unconsciously acts more mature around him. Bitna is probably the least closest to Namjoon because of this. When she was a trainee, she was absolutely terrified of Namjoon because he was serious but after getting closer to him, she found his dorky side and y side (though Seokjin tries to keep Bitna away from y Namjoon)

Jimin is one of the most caring members, consoling Bitna whenever she's down.  Jimin is someone that Bitna can really relate to from his maturing personality to his insecurities about weight.  He is such a sweetheart, always complimenting Bitna to boost her self confidence.

While everyone would call Taehyung weird, Bitna would call him a genius. He would come up with ideas that no one else would and it was amazing to Bitna. He also taught Bitna how to embrace her inner weirdness. Bitna really looks up to Taehyung as he is genuine with himself and doesn't care what others think of him.

TRIVIA:
♦ It was 2012 when they first met. Taeyong had become a trainee for SM. He was 17, Bitna was only 12. He was shy and awkward but Bitna was immediately drawn to him. Why? He looked like JYJ's Jaejoong, her first crush. Bitna approached him first, scaring him a little bit as she kept asking him questions about himself, but he soon got used to young girl. They got close fast with Bitna's outgoing personality who matched well with the shy Taeyong.
♦ Being the older of the two, Taeyong felt that it was his duty to take care of the younger girl. He made sure she ate well, sometimes even cooking the girl meals, and making sure she was healthy. This is what their relationship was like. Taeyong took care of Bitna.Bitna felt comfortable around Taeyong. She knew he wouldn't judge her and she really trusted him.
♦ When Bitna left SM, they still kept in touch, with Bitna often writing letters to him which he kept, unknown to Bitna. After joining BigHit, both Taeyong and Doyoung would occassionally visit Bitna after they were done training to check up on the girl and sometimes treat her to a meal.
