scene i. feelings grow
he stopped buying her triangle kimbap, and talked to her more often instead. even without jisung and taehyun, they hung out. there was certain fascination he had for her selflessness that lead to admiration. he thought nothing of these feelings and didn't think they would lead to much. meiyun, at the time, still just considered him a friend. he was noticably lingering around meiyun, which jisung noticed. of course, the local wingman taehyun was notified and he wasn't just going to sit still.

scene ii. a wingman's duty ruined by vodka mom
don't ask how, but taehyun rigged the secret santa. if jisung didn't forget, sungwoon and meiyun would've been shopping for one another that christmas. fortunately, at least sungwoon had to find a gift for meiyun. so when the 25th approached, he handed her an extravagantly wrapped box that, ironically enough, only had a single triangle kimbap inside it. "i told you i'd get you to eat a triangle kimbap." he grinned cheekily. she found that cute, his stubbornness to get her to eat the kimbap and his all-too proud grin. she laughed, "thanks? i'll eat it well." she takes a bite out of it. he could hear jisung in the back of his head telling him, don't make decisions on impulse, but he told her to wait there while he got something. he came back with a teddy bear in hand and a sheepish grin. "merry christmas, sorry for my crappy gifts." she wasn't sure what she felt then, maybe a mild heart attack?

scene i. date well, lovebirds
their relationship was obviously something more than just "friends," at least to everyone except them apparently. taehyun was always trying to stir up romantic tension between the two so these two idiots could finally date, though it was often ruined by messy vodka mom. even when asked about the possibility of liking meiyun, sungwoon denied it. neither chose to act upon it for the sake of maintaining friendship. fortunately, yoon jisung prevails at the end of the day. on valentine's day, he confessed to meiyun in place of sungwoon. basically, he shouted into the microphone, "hwang miyoon, ha sungwoon likes you! did you hear me? ha. sung. woon. likes. you. don't lie, you like him too. date well, you love birds." to which the entire second year class hyped the tomato-red sungwoon to properly confess to her. "uh... yeah. let's date?" he coughs. she breaks into a grin, "yeah, i'd like that." the class breaks into a roar of cheers.

scene ii. dear my love
they were probably more awkward in their first week of dating than in their four months of friendship. after getting accustomed however, they were able to properly date. it was shallow dates at first, then they started gaining a deeper understanding of one another over time. they were young together, they matured together, and they learned from each other.

scene iii. us now
their relationship is put on the backburner from busy schedules and studying as third years. their summer was well spent with one another and strengthened their relationship, but as the infamously difficult third year approaches, they know their relationship will have to be second to their education. while they love each other no less, time is the only factor standing in between their relationship.

you can make it angsty if you want (that was my original goal but this is a... light hearted fic so i scrapped it), i dont rlly care what you with the ending, but i think this one is the most fitting for this story:

they continue dating, through busy schedules and exams. lots of texts and they cling to each other during winter and spring breaks cause they miss each other. make it to the end of third year and are still dating. prom king and queen.

 listen, they're gonna go to prom together (unless they break up) and win prom king and queen because everyone loves them!!!
 they date quietly, are super cute together without too much pda, and are doing well academically. who doesn't love them and want to be them?? the third year class are proud parents looking at them.
 speaking of parents, she met his parents and they love her. they don't even bat an eye when she comes over to see sungwoon.
 they're each other's first loves, first boyfriend/girlfriend, etc....
 he calls her baobei (宝贝) meaning precious or treasure, basically like calling someone 'baby'. not often though, usually whenever he misses her lots or for more kinda special moments rather than using it everyday. typically just calls her mei.
 she calls him cloudy (구름이) cause the 'woon' character of his name means cloud in hanja, usually not in public though cause jisung and taehyun to death if she does. she loves just calling him by sungwoon too cause his name is pretty.
 teases sungwoon by saying that her ideal type is a tall guy. and then showers him in smooches afterwards.
 never have and never will cheat on each other. if they break up, it'd probably be a mutual one.
