[theory] how I see the jap MV for blood sweat tears

Here's my (not the most complete) theory. I believe the entire wings concept is based off 'temptation' so I will center my discussion on that.

I think Jin represents temptation. It is something fun, happy, a great escape from cruel adulthood and a common feature of society. Jin, however, may not be fully evil - in the sense that he doesn’t intend to harm and doesn’t want to see people fall too deep. Temptation takes multiple form - some more physical, like the apple, drinks, motels, silk, cigarettes, drugs etc; generally, I believe scenes with an explosion of colours are signs that temptation is present (a "colourful life" that many are curious of because they are fearful of how cold and dry adulthood can be).

I'm uncertain as of what Yoongi is - he seems to be the voice against temptation, he wakes people up and removes the blindfold. I feel like he's a part of Jin, but the part that has sort of betrayed.

There are also multiple realms, and hence different versions of the same member - notably Jimin and Yoongi. I'll go into this later.

Jungkook falling into temptation is a large part of this MV. Probably because he's an adult legally now so he may be curious of many things. The first scene starts out with Jungkook rising from a bed, leaving his wings (innocence) behind. He visits Namjoon's room, and Namjoon forces a drink down his throat (perhaps a reflection of peer pressure, because many people give in to temptation because everyone of their friend has done so).

Namjoon is someone well trapped by temptation. He lives in a place with motels and alcohol (implication of and exciting night life). He can be lonely at times, which is why he helps to tempt people so that he gets company.

Jungkook's body doesn’t seem to take it quite well, as he throws up on the toilet. Yoongi rushes over to help, but got shoved away. Note that this Yoongi is the 'good' Yoongi so to say, he's trying to wake people up from temptation. By pushing this Yoongi away, Jungkook is hence still controlled by temptation.

Now we move on to explain the realms. I think there are some parallel universe defined by time that are existing here: past, present and future. Not all members are very clearly presented in all 3 realms, so I'll discuss those that I've noticed.

Jimin has a very clear dual identity. There's the past Jimin in the fish-tank room, contemplating whether he should eat that apple (temptation) or not. The Yoongi that exists here is the Yoongi of the past, the Yoongi that sides with temptation. The other Jimin is probably the present or even future Jimin, who starts out with Yoongi removing his hand - this Yoongi is the good Yoongi who frees Jimin from being blinded by temptation, the Yoongi who has gone against Jin. The present/future Jimin was a little baffled when he came to his senses, before he starts to run in a direction with a determined look - like he wants to find out the cause of things, or want to do something. My guess is that he wants to find the past self and stop himself from falling prey to temptation after bearing the consequences.

There are also two Yoongi, as previously mentioned. The present/future Yoongi is trying to wake people up from temptation, such as trying to help Jungkook in the toilet, and removing the 'blindfold' from Jimin. The past Yoongi is doing his job by blinding people and luring them to temptation, and in Jimin's case, this past Yoongi was trying to prevent past Jimin from seeing present/future Jimin, although he was a step too late.

Another realm of the past is the 7 boys in one house. Here, they are all youths struggling with curiosity towards temptation - Taehyung, in particular. We have scenes of Jimin and Jungkook trying to hold him down while Hoseok aims a toy dart at him (from theories I'd read about WINGS, shooting arrows at someone carries the meaning of breaking through temptation or sth). Hoseok is the character trying actively to help his friends to not fall for temptation. When he thinks he has succeeded, at the campfire, he empties a bottle of medicine/drugs (temptation) into the fire because they won't need it anymore.

But temptation is not always successful. Hoseok shooting those arrows. When Jin attacked Taehyung in the kitchen, trying to overpower him, Taehyung fights back and won the battle. Similarly, when present/future Jimin finds his past self, past Jimin drops the apple because the message is delivered - temptation is not worth its price.

These actions trigger internal battle, because temptation is like the easy way out to avoid facing the tough reality. Jimin dancing to Lie and Hoseok dancing to Boy Meets Evil are the clearest example of battle with self. They will eventually win the battle against temptation. There was no clearer explanation of how the other members did it, but things cleared up for Jungkook, he fell back down on the bed (so those wings imprinted on the bed will be his again). Taehyung wandered through a hallway of silk/temptation and emerged to a clear platform. He's became a 'lone wolf' in society (as his jacket reads) because he resisted against temptation. Namjoon looks a lot less luxurious than before and has bruised hands instead, that's the price to pay for being too immersed in a divine world.

Jin has his own sort of realm, he observes his 'victims' through those glasses. When the victims fight back, this realm shatters. As suggested earlier, I don't think Jin is fully evil. When the 'good' Yoongi was shoved aside by Jungkook, Jin lowered his glasses looking almost disappointed. When he was fighting Taehyung, he whispered "I'm sorry" too.

The act of present/future Jimin may have changed how things turned out by influencing past Jimin's performance. However, as the end of the video suggest, never let your guard down because in some day of the future, Jin's gonna drive up to you and say, "long time no see".
