PERSONALITY:

Same as any other girls out there, Yueliang is a cheerful-outgoing girl who is hardworking in all the things she does. She was taught not to be spoiled and if she really wants something she has to work hard for it. Whether it would be having good grades in school or something else. Yueliang has a driven personality, Since she wants to be involved in the entertainment industry she was taught to be open minded in all the criticisms she will receive and use those criticisms to motivate her to do better.

She has negative side like every other person who walks in this planet and being impatient is one of them. She has trouble waiting for people, she dislikes it if someone asks her to meet them and she will be the one to arrive early. Yueliang doesnt like it when things are in a slow pace, she doesnt like beating around the bush. Yueliang wants things to be done immediately, Unless it was a sunbaenim or a staff member she tolerates it. Her impatience leads her to become anxious, which sometimes causes her to over think and then she stresses over it. Others describe Yueliang as Charismatic or a girl with a rather deep personality.

This girl has a positive outlook in life, Yueliang can be seen as a deep kind of person and she doesnt believe in bad luck nor in good luck. If things doesnt go the way she wanted to because of her impulsive character, she analyzes first on what went wrong then she analyzes what did she do to make that happen; Before she makes a move to set things right.

She is also a bit selfish when it comes to her favourite food such as tteokbokki,kimbap,and jokbal, especially dumplings or any personal items of hers, like clothes or make-up (She says its because of hygeinic reasons). Though there are also times when she gets a bit aggressive whenever she plays games on her phone she likes to beat her high score, She is quite competitive.

Her being competitive isnt really a bad thing, She just likes doing her best in everything she does. Yueliang doesnt like to do things half-baked. She doesnt want to show that she trained for nothing. Despite being all smiles and optimistism, She can get really insecure. She doesnt like to show it to others and burden them with her own personal problem. Yueliang sometimes like to lock herself in her room and cry it all out. To Yueliang the only person who is her true rival is herself..

BACKGROUND: 

She was born on October 31,1998 in Toronto,Canada.Her Father is Chinese whilst her Mother is Korean thus making her a mix of Chinese and Korean. Mari's Mother divorced with her husband when Yueliang is a year old, leaving Yueliang to her Father. No one knows about her whereabouts now. It was when she was 5 her father remarried to a Chinese-Canadian woman who goes by the name of Sophie lee. She has 2 sons namely Christian and Marcus. Yueliang detested and despised her step mother but she gets along with her step brothers.

In school she was just an average student who is quiet with other people but when she is with her bestfriend or brothers she is extremely loud. she has no trouble making friends but her schoolmates found her weird maybe because of a bit of discrimination since she is of a another race. But she has this one best friend who is like her sister named Layla, Layla is into dance like Yueliang.

When she was 10 she got into kpop, Yueliang started to do dance covers (by the ecouragement and support of her best friend layla) and post it on to her youtube channel. Even before getting into kpop, Yueliang loves to dance she even asked her older step-brother to teach her how to dance since he was a dancer himself. He taught her hip-hop and a bit of modern dance thus making her really interested.

During the summer of 2012 her family had a month long vacation in Seoul,South Korea. In that month Yueliang was searching if there were any entertainments holding auditions, Luckily some entertainments were holding auditions as well. She auditioned at entertainments like Fantagio,JYP, and BigHit. She got accepted at Fantagio and Big Hit, Mari chose to train under Big Hit because of a live performance of GLAM she saw on tv whilst staying in Korea. Yueliang moved into a dorm provided by the Entertainment, She even switched schools. Yueliang studies diligently in SOPA whilst at the same time she does her best in training in Big Hit. She officially started training at Big Hit in 2013.

✩ She always wants to be an endorser for a toothpaste company, she admits her smile is charming
✩ Born on the eve of halloween.
✩ Owns a Youtube channel where she posted both song and dance covers, she has 5,000 subscribers on it. (which is a decent amount of subscribers)
✩ Loves dancing to boy-group choreography, she likes how challenging it is.
✩ She has a hard time singing and dancing at the same time.
✩ Big Pokemon fan, her favourite is meowth
✩ She can eat three bowls of rice, She has a fast metabolism so she doesnt easily gain weight.
✩ She usually dances at 150% though she tones it down since she doesnt want to outshine the others in dancing. 
✩ Can rap Jhope's part in Boy in Luv in Chinese, Korean, and Japanese
✩ She loves chinese and korean food the most. 
✩ She loves reading the Archie comics and she now is watching Riverdale the series based off from it.
✩ She is allergic to peanuts, the effect is she will have a hard time breathing'
✩ She isnt a picky eater
✩ Has a fear of heights
✩ She has watched all the marvel movies ever made, Her personal favourite is Ironman and Xmen series.
✩ She graduated from SOPA in early feburary 2017
✩ Oreos is her favourite snack
✩ She fights for gender equality
✩ Favourite groups are GLAM,2pm,Infinite,Shinee,Kara. She also likes international boybands such as Big Time Rush and Owl City.
✩  She has not attended any formal dance class before joining Big Hit.

✩ She usually gets 5-6 hours of sleep a day but she takes naps between the day. She can take a nap wherever she wants.
✩ Her Birthname is Go Yueliang whilst her English name is Marie Go.
✩ She cant cook (Hey instant noodles count as cooking right- Marie) 
✩ Whenever its dance practice instead of counting the beats through numbers, Marie says 'tak' instead. Sometimes it confuses other people when they ask her like "So do we spin at 5 or 6 ?", she would do the choreography again a bit before answering "We spin at tak.... oh wait at 6 i mean"
✩ Her bestfriend in BigHit is Jungkook of BTS, They were classmates in SOPA  and trained a bit together before Jungkook debuted.
