Personality 
Jooeun is described to be a mother-like person despite being the younggest in her family. She is independent and wants to stand on her own. Jooeun is also the type of person who wants to look out for others and guide them as much as she can. She is also quite honest, Jooeun thinks there is no reason to lie because every lie will be found out eventually. Jooeun is very ambitious as she wants to succeed in her life, She is also patient when she helps out other people; especially when they are training. She doesn't want others to fail. Jooeun can be very creative as she has ideas that are far fetched but surprisingly she manages to pull them off.

Every person has their own flaws and these are Jooeun's. Jooeun can be clumsy, She is the type of person who falls out of bed when she is asleep, accidentally knock down water bottles in the practice room, or even stubbing her toe against a piece of furniture. Whenever something troubles her she remains quiet she doesn't want others to be troubled with her problems.Jooeun can be a yes-man, It's hard for her to say no. Her being a yes-man is related to her being impulsive.Whenever someone asks help she always says yes , it's a good thing she is being helpful but sometimes she forgets that she promised to do other things as well.

Background 
Bae Jooeun was born on May 15 1995. Jooeun is the younggest in her family, She has an sister 4 years older than her named Joohyun. Jooeun grew up in Daegu,South Korea. As a child Jooeun is already fond of performing and dancing for fun and entertainment. She liked seeing people smile because of it. Jooeun really looks up to her older sister, when she found out that Joohyun got accepted to SM entertainment; Jooeun was ecstatic and it made her want to audition for the entertainment as well.

When her older sister entered SM entertainment in 2009, Jooeun is determined to follow her sister there. At first she didn't make it back in 2010, During the 2011 auditioned she passed. There she learned everything the hard way. You can't be dependent on someone, She and Joohyun had different schedules and Jooeun almost gave up when the trainer said that she shouldn't be here if she just wants to be with her sister. Those words made her stronger as she was determined to prove everyone wrong. She soon realized that she doesn't want to be compared to her older sister or be known as Joohyun's younger sister. She wanted to be known as Bae Jooeun and nothing else. Jooeun trained hard for everything and even helped other trainees in her class as she didn't want them to feel discouraged.

Jooeun left SM entertainment in 2015 when she realized she wasn't really growing in the entertainment. She became an Independent Traine since then, Jooeun practiced dance on her own and even choreographed some songs in her spare time. She realized that maybe being an idol wasn't her calling, At 2016  It was when she came across a flyer that Hello!Project was opening a korean branch. Jooeun decided to give it shot and signed up for the auditions.

— Ikigai's Elise used to be a bully ?/ in the near future / A certain netizen suddenly posted rumours that she used to train with Elise, The netizen said Elise was a bully and would order other trainees around. Despite the rumours spreading Elise remained unfazed and decided not to entertain those rumours. Luckily other netizens said thatthe rumours were false and soon everyone forgot about it since there was no solid proof.
