Same as any other girls out there, ryujin is a cheerful-outgoing girl who is hardworking in all the things she does. Her parents taught her not to be spoiled and if she really wants something she has to work hard for it. Whether it would be having good grades in school or something else. Ryujin has a driven personality, since she wants to be involved in the entertainment industry she was taught to be open minded in all the criticisms she will receive and use those criticisms to motivate her to do better. She would like to describe herself as a deep kind of person. This girl has a positive outlook in life, ryujin can be seen as a deep kind of person and she doesnt believe in bad luck nor in good luck. If things doesnt go the way she wanted to, she analyzes first on what went wrong then she analyzes what did she do to make that happen; before she makes a move to set things right. She has negative side though.

Being impatient is one of them. She has trouble waiting for people, she dislikes it if someone asks her to meet them and she will be the one to arrive early. Ryujin doesnt like it when things are in a slow pace, she doesnt like beating around the bush. Ryujin wants things to be done immediately, unless it was a sunbaenim or a staff member she tolerates it. Her impatience leads her to become anxious, which sometimes causes her to over think. She is also a bit selfish when it comes to her favourite food such as tteokbokki,kimbap,and jokbal, especially dumplings or any personal items of hers, like clothes or make-up (she says its because of hygeinic reasons). Though there are also times when she gets a bit aggressive whenever she plays games on her phone she likes to beat her high score, she is quite competitive.

Her being competitive isnt really a bad thing, she just likes doing her best in everything she does. Ryujin doesnt like to do things half-baked. She doesnt want to show that she trained for nothing. Despite being all smiles and optimistic, she can get really insecure. She doesnt like to show it to others and burden them with her own personal problem. Ryujin sometimes like to lock herself in her room and cry it all out. To ryujin the only person who is her true rival is herself.

Ryujin was born on April 16,1998 at Hong Kong to a small but loving family. As a child Ryujin was really fond of performing. At the tender age of 4 she would already take up ballet. It was painful at first but she was determined and enjoyed it nevertheless. When she was 7 her family moved back to Korea as her Father got a job offer. There she continued to take not only ballet but also rhythmic gymnastics. Academically, she may not be the best student in her school but she is fond of joining inter school competitions. 

She auditioned for Pledis when she was 14. She started training there when she was 15. She trained in Pledis until 2016 before switching to SM entertainment. Reason for switching entertainments is that she was cut off from the roster of trainees, Pledis said she doesn't have the image they are looking for. With a heavy heart she auditioned for other entertainments such as JYP,SM, Cube, Source Music. To her surprise SM and Source Music accepted her, She chose the former's offer thinking she would gain much more experience and learning from it.

— Training was harder than Ryujin expected. Sure she used to have trainings in her dance classes before but it wasnt as intense as training under a company. She experienced having sprained ankles and sometimes high fevers but it doesnt stop her from quitting. Ryujin took every criticism well though sometimes she feels bad but she knows its to help her improve.

She was sad when she was cut off the list of trainees as she doesn't have the image Pledis was looking for. She then trained under SM entertainment. Ryujin learned a lot from the said entertainment such as modeling and acting.

— Lucky Girl's Rhujin and Seventeen's Minghao dating? | In the Future | True | This was when Lucky girls had a vlive and fans caught a notification pop up when Ryujin was showing something from her phone. It was a text from Minghao that said "I love you goodnight", The two are already dating that time. Ryujin did not notice it, Only her members told her an hour after the live has ended. They are aware the two are close since Ryujin trained at Pledis. The two companies decided to come clean to the fans officially announcing the two are dating earning mixed responses from fans.

— Minghao is the type you have to talk to quiet often before he would open up to you. Once you get to know him, He is actually very loud and quite playful. Minghao is also very passionate in what he does, He likes doing his best.

love story. 

— Minghao and Ryujin first met in Pledis. Before Minghao started to train with Seventeen, he trained with the other trainees which included Ryujin. Minghao had a hard time communicating with the others as he didn't understood korean. Ryujin was able to notice this and helped him out. The boy was very thankful that someone helped him out. Besides Minghao's korean lessons from the entertainment, Ryujin also taught him during their breaks and in exchange he taught her how to read in chinese. When Minghao started to train with seventeen he made sure not to lose contact with Ryujin and the two exchanged numbers. 

The two often send text messages and they try their best to hang out whenever Minghao is not busy. When Minghao debuted that's when they started seeing each other less. They also video chat, sometimes the other seventeen members join and talk.

It wasn't how Minghao exactly planned it but he had no choice since Ryujin switched entertainments. He had to confess to her via video call. He was checking in on Ryujin telling asking her how her day went as Ryujin was eating.  Minghao just confessed to her out of the blue, It was something Minghao wanted to let out for quite a while but he didn't want to ruin their friendship. Ryujin simply laughed as she confessed in return though she admitted she isn't ready for a relationship. Minghao understood it and also told her he doesn't want to date also since he is busy with his career.

— The two agreed they won't put on a lable or commit to each other. They agreed that they can openly flirt with other people if they want to. If they still have feelings for each other and is serious then that's when they decided to date.  (Eventually the two will end up dating but for now not yet)
