BACKGROUND

Paige Inhee Jung was born on April 24 2003. Growing up, she never understood why her parents got a divorce. However, she was glad that her mom allowed her biological father to be a part of her life. He gives child support and even visits time to time. Her mom works as a professor at the State University.

While growing up, Paige has a good relationship with her older brother Peter. He would help her with her homework and even bring her to school when she was little. It was from Peter that she started to play videogames and even played more than him. It kind of broke her heart when her brother decided to study abroad, but he reassured her that she won't ever be a bother if she still needs his help. 

Fast forward to her senior year in highschool. She spoke with her counselor and she was advised that she take up computer engineering or civil engineering as she didn't know at the time what she should take for college. However, it made her realize that she would want to do something she is passionate about. 

Applying for a university was one of the toughest decisions she had to make. First of all, what university. Second of all, where does she want to study. She thought of studying at the State University her mom works at but she remembered what her brother told her. "Don't be afraid to go out of your comfort zone, but don't forget to always have a back up plan." She decided to apply to two universities in Korea, Yonsei and Jeju university. In addition, she also applied to the local State University as a back up. She realized that there is no harm in trying. What's important is that she has a back up plan like what her brother told her.

Later on, Paige got accepted at both Jeju University and the local state university. However, she got waitlisted at Yonsei—the university her brother attends. In the end, Paige decided maybe its her time to have her own little adventure. An adventure to find herself more and meet new people. With that she decided to enroll at Jeju University.

Same as any other girls out there, Paige is a cheerful girl who is hardworking in all the things she does. She was taught not to be spoiled and if she really wants something she has to work hard for it. Whether it would be having good grades in school or something else. Paige has a driven personality, She was taught to be open minded in all the criticisms she will receive and use those criticisms to motivate her to do better.

She has negative side like every other person who walks in this planet and being impatient is one of them. She has trouble waiting for people, she dislikes it if someone asks her to meet them and she will be the one to arrive early. Paige doesnt like it when things are in a slow pace, she doesnt like beating around the bush. Paige wants things to be done immediately. Her impatience leads her to become anxious, which sometimes causes her to over think and then she stresses over it.

Others describe Paige as a shy girl or a girl with a rather deep personality. It would take some time for her to warm up but this girl has a positive outlook in life, Paige can be seen as a deep kind of person and she doesnt believe in bad luck nor in good luck. If things doesnt go the way she wanted to because of her impulsive character, she analyzes first on what went wrong then she analyzes what did she do to make that happen; Before she makes a move to set things right.

She is also a bit selfish when it comes to her favourite food such as fried rice,tteokbokki, and especially dumplings or any personal items of hers, like clothes or make-up (She says its because of hygeinic reasons). Paige is also selfish when it comes to homework. She won't give you the answers. Rather she would help you look for the answer yourself. However, as a person she is not one to take advantage and use people for her own benefit. There are also times when she gets a bit aggressive especially when she plays her video games. She would mutter curses under her breath thanks to her impulsiveness at times (she learned how to control it while streaming but when she is not, you would hear a word or two from her).

Paige wouldn't consider herself as an introvert or extrovert. There are times she would be the first to initiate a conversation or times where she prefers not to initiate one.

SCHEDULE Overall Paige is taking 5 classes during her first semester.  Three of them being general education classes and the two are her majors.Her free days are mostly Saturday and Sunday

hello! welcome to the jeju university family! can you tell me a bit about yourself?

Hi! I am Paige Inhee Jung. You can call me Paige or Inhee whichever is easier for you! I am an incoming freshman majoring in computer engineering. Why computer engineering you ask? I like to play videogames and building my own pc. So I thought, why not major in something I love to do?

out of all the colleges in korea, why did you pick jeju university and why your major?

Honestly, I applied to two universities here in South Korea, this being one of them. The other one was Yonsei and my brother goes there but I got waitlisted. I am kind of impatient. So, I decided to go here at Jeju University.

where do you see yourself in 10 years?

That's a tough question... hmmm to be very honest, I just hope that Paige in ten years is living a happy life.

what would you say are your biggest strengths and weaknesses?

I would say my biggest strength is that I am not afraid to try new things! But! A big but is that I am shy so it would take me a while to do those things.

as a freshman you will reside in chungsam hall, what do you look for in a roommate? any lifestyle habits that you find intolerable?

I am okay with living with whoever. What I find in a roommate is that they are clean, pick up after themselves, and can respect each other's space. Also I hope they do not mind that I stream from time to time.

what are you looking forward to the most as an incoming freshman?

I look forward to new experiences! It's my first time being far away from home, it's scary but exciting.

PERSONALITY -
People normally see Yujun as a quiet person. It's not because he is shy its just that he prefers to stay quiet and observe first before talking but when he does talk he speaks up his mind. Yujun is not the type to sugarcoat his words. He believes it's better to say the truth than lead people with false hope.

However with this quietness, it leads him being more closed off to other people when it comes to his problems. Sometimes being selfless is a good thing but to Yujun it's one of his flaws. He has a hard time saying no when someone asks a favour to him. He prefers to be independent and deal with his problems alone than tell it to someone.

BACKGROUND 
— Yujun comes from a family of Architects and Engineers.

— Yujun chose to enroll at Jeju University as he wants a different view far from the city and from his family

LOVE STORY 
Meeting Yujun for the first time, Paige describes him as the cold city boy. He was one of the most quiet people in the Esports club. However, he is one of the most important members in the club. When Paige played with the overwatch team for the first time—Yujun is the team captain for overwatch. He would upfront say if she did a good job or not. It irritated Paige at first as she was adjusting to a new team, which led to Yujun sometimes coaching Paige one on one during club meetings. Yujun assigned her as a subsitute player in case one of the players can't make it to the competition.

Paige was surprised when she saw him in her Intermediate English class. She didn't notice him at first but then it dawned to her that he did look familiar when she saw him the first time during club. When she sat in her seat, Yujun started to sit next to her. "It's easier to understand class when you know someone taking it too," That's what he said. 

Sooner or later they just continued to hang out whether it would be for class or for club activities. It just came out naturally. Paige would be the one who talks a lot while Yujun would listen to her, occasionally saying his thoughts at times.

INTERACTIONS 
— They are complete rivals in the Esports club. He assigned her as a subsitute for the meantime but he can actually see her potential.
— Yujun and Paige studying for their class. As a fluent english speaker, Paige was able to simplify the class lessons to Yujun.  
— Yujun teaching Paige how to use other overwatch characters. 
— Yujun listening to Paige when she shares stories about herself.
— Paige letting Yujun slowly open up about his problems to her.   
— Paige noticed that Yujun watches her stream sometimes. She would jokingly say "Hi Kangjun-ah am I doing a bad job again?"


ENDING 
— It ends with Yujun and Paige confessing that they like each other. (i made this more vague as I want the author to have creative freedom on how it happens but i can imagine them being a slow burn romance.)


TRIVIA 
— Yujun is the team captain when it comes to Overwatch or Valorant competitions.
— Surprisingly he is the best in pc building within the team.
— Yujun has one general ed class with Paige and they just sit right beside each other cause they don't know anyone else in the class.
— Yujun is tall (183 cm).
— Currently Yujun can admit to himself he has strong feelings for Paige he just hasn't decided what kind of feelings are they. He actually likes her company.
— Yujun has two older siblings. One architect and one Engineer. He does not want to be overshadowed by his siblings success which caused him to stem away from his city life and study at Jeju. He wants to prove that he can do it alone without his family's help. 
— He lives on campus but has a solo type of dorm. (His family wanted him to live off campus initially but he felt that he won't experience the student life to the fullest.)
— His favourite food is kimchi fried rice topped with a fried egg with the yolk still runny. 
— The games he plays are overwatch, valorant, genshin impact, league of legends, osu, and phasmaphobia.

COMMENTS Hi! I hope you like Paige! It's been a while since I made a character for an applyfic. If I have to add any more details about her character or any relationship connections I am more than happy to edit it! I decided not to add Paige's friends from California as I think they won't appear in the story.
