PERSONALITY :　
Same as any other girls out there, Mari is a cheerful-outgoing girl who is hardworking in all the things she does. She was taught not to be spoiled and if she really wants something she has to work hard for it. Whether it would be having good grades in school or something else. Mari has a driven personality, Since she wants to be involved in the entertainment industry she was taught to be open minded in all the criticisms she will receive and use those criticisms to motivate her to do better.

She has negative side like every other person who walks in this planet and being impatient is one of them. She has trouble waiting for people, she dislikes it if someone asks her to meet them and she will be the one to arrive early. Mari doesnt like it when things are in a slow pace, she doesnt like beating around the bush. Mari wants things to be done immediately, Unless it was a sunbaenim or a staff member she tolerates it. Her impatience leads her to become anxious, which sometimes causes her to over think and then she stresses over it.

Others describe Mari as Charismatic or a girl with a rather deep personality. This girl has a positive outlook in life, Mari can be seen as a deep kind of person and she doesnt believe in bad luck nor in good luck. If things doesnt go the way she wanted to because of her impulsive character, she analyzes first on what went wrong then she analyzes what did she do to make that happen; Before she makes a move to set things right.

She is also a bit selfish when it comes to her favourite food such as tteokbokki,kimbap,and jokbal, especially dumplings or any personal items of hers, like clothes or make-up (She says its because of hygeinic reasons). Though there are also times when she gets a bit aggressive whenever she plays games on her phone she likes to beat her high score, She is quite competitive.

Her being competitive isnt really a bad thing, She just likes doing her best in everything she does. Mari doesnt like to do things half-baked. She doesnt want to show that she trained for nothing. Despite being all smiles and optimistism, She can get really insecure. She doesnt like to show it to others and burden them with her own personal problem. Mari sometimes like to lock herself in her room and cry it all out. To Mari the only person who is her true rival is herself.

BACKGROUND :　
She was born on november 2,1997 in California,USA. Her mother died a few days after giving birth to her. When she was 5 her father remarried a Chinese-american woman who goes by the name of Sophie lee. She has 2 sons namely Christian and Marcus. Mari detested and despised her step mother but she gets along with her step brothers.

In school she was just an average student who is quiet with other people but when she is with her friends or brothers she is extremely loud. she has no trouble making friends but her schoolmates found her weird maybe because of a bit of discrimination since she is korean.

When she was 10 she got into kpop,Mari started to do dance covers and even have her own cover group with her friends who love kpop. Even before getting into kpop, Mari loves to dance she even asked her older step-brother to teach her how to dance since he was a dancer himself, Despite her brother teaching her she also took ballet lessons when she was younger.

During the summer of 2012 her family had a month long vacation in Seoul,South Korea. In that month Mari took to the opportunity to enroll at 1Million dance studio to learn more about dancing, Luckily some entertainments were holding auditions as well. She auditioned at entertainments like Fantagio,JYP, and BigHit. She got accepted at Fantagio and Big Hit, Mari chose to train under Big Hit because of a live performance of GLAM she saw on tv whilst staying in Korea.

Mari moved into a dorm provided by the Entertainment, She even switched schools. Mari studies diligently in SOPA whilst at the same time she does her best in training in Big Hit.  She officially started training at Big Hit in 2013, the trainers were suprised that this girl prefers harder boy-group like choreography than girl-group like ones. Mari was honestly surprised that Bang-PD chose her as one of the female trainees to enter Rounder a girl group survivor show. She has been training under Big Hit for nearly 4 years now, Mari was determined that she wouldnt show that all the years she spent training will go to waste.

– she scratches her nape if she feels embarrassed 

Trivias:
– she dances powerfully. she likes dancing to boy groups. If Mari were to dance to a girl group she would make it more powerful whilst making it still looking feminine and it would show her girly side.
– she has a hard time singing and dancing at the same time.
– A fan of Mina Myoung,Lia Kim, 2pm,Shinee, and Infinite. She enrolled at 1million dance studio before she trained at BigHit.
– She graduated from SOPA early 2017.
– the cover group of hers was named Bitna (meaning to shine) and they covered various kpop songs.
– She eats a lot and doesnt gain any weight, She has a fast metabolism
– She took ballet for 5 years thus making her flexible.
– She is Full Korean but the fact that she was born and raised in America thus making her Korean-American.
– A big fan of pokemon, Her favourite is Meowth.
– She auditioned through dance since she was more confident at it.
– She sneezes whenever she looks at the sun
– She can do aerial tumbling

Why did you deCIDE to join this show? or whY DID your company deCIDE to send you here? : 

▸ /She puffs her cheeks a bit/ Actually it was my company who sent me here... I honestly thought BangPD-nim would send other trainees who seem more fitting for this show. I guess he wanted to send in different kinds of trainees to show that Big Hit produces different styles of artists.

Why you think you will be in final line up?: 

▸  Because i have a different style than the other trainees, I just dont want to be another pretty face infront of the camera. I also think its because i can do a more challenging choreography than others. 

Please explain your inspiration and wish to become an artist : 

▸ Ever since i was little i was into dance then when i was 10 i got into Kpop. I really enjoyed performing for people seeing smiles on their faces, thats when i decided i want to be an Artist someday. /She paused a bit before continuing/ GLAM one of Big Hit's girl groups before became like one of my favourite groups because i liked how different they have a different colour. I want to debut into a group with a different image, one that is multicolour. Not just cute or y since it doesnt suit me. /she nods her head in understanding/

Did you get any past experience in entertainment industries? : 

▸ I dont know if you recognize me but i was the lead female character in BTS sunbaenims' Boy in Luv Music video /She scratches her nape in embarrassment/. It wasnt really a big role but i like how i was able to get some experience out of it.

Do you know from company that the final line up of this project will got 2 phases? 1st is for the final line up will all debuted as a group and doing activity for 1 year and for the 2nd phase is for the 2nd year to the final line up who company didn't set as their new girl group. What do you think?

▸ /She nods her head/  Yes i am quite aware of that, and i think its a good idea since those who didnt get to debut yet to a permanent group will still have the chance to promote though those were the only details i got from the company-

Did Big hit entertainment already plan something for mari? Cause the programm staff already tell you that we got 2 phases for the final line up.

▸  BangPD: As of now we have not discussed about that since Yes we are debuting a girl group soon but the final line-up is not yet done. We are still on the process of selecting female trainees for our girl group and we are still debating if we will include Mari or not but nevertheless if Mari is part of the finalists in Rounder,  We see that she would only be a part of the first phase.
