  • APPEARANCE: Sang Mi stands at 170 cm and 58 kg. She's said to be of a fairly average height, but sometimes in heels she feels like a giant compares to some other girls. She has both of her ears pierced once and doesn't plan on getting any more. Her hair has been almost every color imaginable. For her first debut she was blonde, but she wasn't a big fan of it. She prefers a light or medium brown. She'll let the stylist style it anyway she wants, but she hopes that she doesn't have to go too crazy with the hair colors.
  • STYLE: Sang Mi doesn't think her style his too exciting. It's mostly made up of great jeans, t-shirts, and cute jackets. Her favorite is her leather jacket. She sometimes mixes it up with shorts or sweaters (usually not at the same time). She mostly adds flare by wearing a snap back, a beanie, or a nice headband. For footwear she wears heels mostly. She's rather versatile with shoes though so she mixes it up with sneakers or boots.

i've got a wild heart.

PERSONALITY:  +Patient, Persevering, Compassionate, Protective, Sociable  -Resentful, Gullible, Secretive, Strong-willed, Well-meaning
Sang Mi tends to fit into the 4D leader type rather well. She's a little out there, she makes bad jokes, and she always looks after her loved ones. She's full of compassion for others. She puts them before herself a majority of the time. She makes sure they eat well and that they always have a shoulder to cry on. She wants to be able to help them with their problems and make sure they know she is there to help them work through it. He tries to approach people with understanding. If she can understand where they are coming from it's easier to see more than just their behavior in the situation. Unfortunately, it's not always realistic to be able to understand the thoughts and motivation of everyone. She often is kind and understanding to others even if they don't give an indication that they deserve it. This doesn't mean that she likes everyone. She's just better at hiding her dislike behind kindness. Except when it comes to a certain former group mate. She's also fairly protective. She doesn't want her loved ones to get hurt. She knows that they can take care of themselves for the most part, but that doesn't stop her from wanting to keep them safe. She's always willing to step in and take of problems if she's asked. She isn't afraid to settle arguments no matter how heated if it means preventing trouble.

She's also patient. She's willing to wait for others to come to her with their problems and worries. She knows that good things don't always happen right away. Sometimes they just have to wait out rough times. She does get herself into trouble at times due to her well-meaning nature. She always wants to help others and make them happy. The problem comes when she sets her patience aside and tries to get more into their problems than she should. She tends to in and accidentally make a mess of things when all she wanted to do was help. It would be funny in a romantic comedy, but outside of that it mostly just gets her in trouble. She sometimes has trouble balancing patience and her desire to help solve the problems of others. She also has a tendency to be rather secretive herself. She likes to keep her own problems to herself. She doesn't have as much patience for her own short comings as she does for others. It's hard for her to be open about bad choices she has made when she wants other to be able to look up to her and rely on her. She tries to be more patient with others because of this. She shouldn't push for the secrets of others when she wants to be able to keep her own. It wouldn't be fair of her, but she isn't always able to reason away her more nosy tendencies.

Giving up is something that she's never been very good at. She's always been persevering. She doesn't give up easily. When it comes to something she is passionate about she'll go the extra mile. This doesn't just extend to herself. She'll also go to great lengths to solve the problems of others. When combined with her more well-meaning nature she can get herself into a fair amount of trouble. She's also strong-willed. It's the negative side of her perseverance for the most part. It can be hard for her to step back and realize that her point of view might not be the right one. She can take a fair amount of convincing when she thinks she's doing the right thing.

She tends to be gullible at times. It's easy to convince her of small things. She can be persuaded by her group mates or her younger brother into doing things for them. She's easily convinced to buy food or to believe in silly little ghost stories. She can't be convinced of everything, but small things are usually a sure thing. She doesn't see it as too much of a problem as long as she doesn't get herself or anyone else into trouble for it. She tries to avoid more manipulative personalities for this reason. That's one of the reasons she doesn't exactly miss GiGi.

She considers her biggest flaw to be that she tends to be resentful at times. She's used to being passed over for attention and praise. She doesn't always feel like they deserve it. She works hard and at times she feels like she's entitled to some praise at least along with others. She knows that it's not right to feel that way, but she can't always help it. She tries to keep it hidden to the best of her ability, but that isn't exactly healthy either.

Sang Mi tends to be sociable as well. She enjoys meeting new people and making new friends. Her favorite thing about being a trainee and an idol was the fact that she got to meet new people all the time. She enjoys hearing all of the different back stories of her fellow trainees. At times she wishes that she was multilingual so that she could be able to understand them more. She's good at getting along with other idol groups or authority figures. Combined with patience and compassion she's able to lead well even if she has her faults.

i used to wanna be living like there's only me.

BACKGROUND: Cheon Sang Mi was born the second of three children to an average couple. Her two brothers took center stage most of the time. Sang Mi was studious and well behaved for the most part. Her brothers were the ones that had more things to worry about. Her slightly older twin Sang Woo devoted hi time to athletics, but he wasn't invested in his studies. Their younger brother Sang Chul was invested in his education, but he refused to interact with others. With their more concerning problems it was easy to ignore Sang Mi who seldom caused trouble. Instead she dedicated her time to school. She spent her time either studying or participating in clubs. She took piano lessons at a young age. It was a fairly safe hobby that her parents thought would keep her out of trouble. She didn't mind the piano, but it wasn't her style of music. She decided to join the school band so she could learn to play the drums. Her life became mostly about music, but she tried to make time for all of the other important things. Overall she felt as though she had an average childhood. That was until her father died.

Shortly after the begging of her first year in junior high Mr. Cheon was hit by a car on his way home from work. He passed away shortly after, and his loss devastated the Cheon family both financially and emotionally. Mrs. Cheon couldn't support three kids on her own so she moved the family to Seoul to live with her brother. The family was hesitant to leave the place where they had made so many memories with their father, but they didn't have much choice. In Seoul they had more time to heal. Sang Woo and Sang Chul were on their best behavior so they wouldn't burden their mother. The siblings leaned on each other and helped them improve their faults. They also took care of the home when they could. They wanted to do anything that they could to make things easier for their mother. They still handled the grief in different ways. Sang Mi threw herself into her after school activities to give her mind something else to focus on. She also wanted to become better at her interests so she could pursue a career that would have made her father proud.

At her new school in Seoul she met a group of kids that were interested in forming a band. Since she knew how to play the drums to some extent they invited Sang Mi to join them. She fell in love with the atmosphere of the band. She loved the closeness and how they worked off of each other. She didn't know much about actually writing music so she tried to learn by watching the members of her group that did. A conflict arose when they wanted her to do backup vocals. She wasn't bad, but she have never taken singing too seriously. She also didn't quite have the sound they wanted. One of the boys suggested that she try rap. He helped guide her through it, and she found a new passion. The group decided it fit their sound much better. Sang Mi went home that night and did as much research on rap as she possibly could. She wanted to explore this talent as much as possible. As the band continued to improve and grow they started to discuss the possibility of joining an entertainment company. They insisted that as a band they would stand out and offer something new. Sang Mi was intrigued by the idea, but she refused to bring up the fact that her uncle owned an entertainment company of his own. The group decided to audition for JYP Entertainment. Then she had to confront the issue of explaining it to her uncle. She sat her mother and uncle down to talk to them about it. Jung Yeop wondered why she didn't want to try for his company. She explained that she wanted to prove that she had the ability to make it. She didn't want anyone to say that she simply got into a company because her uncle was the CEO. Jung Yeop understood her point of view somewhat and agreed to let her try.

When the time for the audition came around Sang Mi found herself alone. Te band had loaded up their equipment the day before and had agreed to meet before the audition. However, Sang Mi was the only one who had shown up. She tried to contact the others, but no one answered her calls. She was torn between running away in embarrassment and sticking with it to show she could do it on her own. Before she could decided she found herself already in the audition. She squared her shoulders, and poured everything she had into a rap. She knew she hadn't been the best, but the company saw potential in her. They agreed to sign her. She was happy by the turn of events, but that didn't stop her from giving her band mates and earful when she saw them next. She decided that she was going to see this through as far as she could.

TRAINEE LIFE: 2 years with JYP and 1.3 years with Woolim. 3.5 years in total.
Sang Mi loved training. She enjoyed learning as much about making music as she could. She might not ever be great at writing music, but she didn't let the stop her from learning about it. She worked hard to improve and learn as much as she could. Even though she liked the company they still did things she wasn't fond of. The company pushed her into more vocal lessons than she would have liked, and she found that most of the people in her rap lessons were male. Their weren't many female rappers around her. She figured this would make her more likely to be picked for a group. She could offer them something new. This was not the case. In face she had the opposite problem. The company didn't seem to want to debut her any time soon. They passed over her often and she worried that she'd never debut. When it was announced that a new girl group was set to debut she wondered if she would finally get picked. She was passed over for another female rapper. She was upset of course, but she was happy for her fellow trainee. She also knew that she would be able to change the kpop world. Unfortunately, things didn't change much for her. She considered leaving the company, but she remained torn. It wasn't until one of the staff members snapped and told her that she'd probably never debut. She didn't have the talent and she'd never be able to fit with a group. Sang Mi left the company and took a few months to consider what she wanted to do with her future now. It felt as though she had been wasting her time for the last two years. After a great deal of thought she decided to give in and audition for Woollim Entertainment. She insisted that her uncle wouldn't give her any special treatment. He agreed, and she hoped he had kept his promise when she was accepted into the company. She worked hard to prove herself, and she refused to back down when other trainees tried to tell her otherwise. She trained for another year and a half until she was told that she was scheduled to debut with the new girl group FAERIETALE. She was ecstatic especially when she was told that she was going to be the leader. It didn't turn out that way though. Her fellow member GiGi insisted that she should be the leader instead even though Sang Mi was three years older. She seemed to know of Sang Mi's relationship to the CEO and implied that it wouldn't be fair for her to be the leader. Sang Mi agreed to let GiGi have the leader position. She was happy to at least be debuting even though GiGi didn't deserve the leadership position in the slightest.

Just when things seemed to be going well for Sang Mi and the group the scandal happened. She had to work to contain how furious she was with GiGi. The other girl had pushed her way into the leader position and at the first opportunity she dropped the group as if they didn't matter. To sum it up she behaved in a way that showed just how unfit for the position she was. Sang Mi couldn't even feel smug about this because the group wasn't able to continue due to this scandal. Their success was ripped away almost as soon as it had come. After that she decided to try University and perhaps go back to playing the drums again. She never left the company. She still had a lot to learn, but she felt it was unreasonable to expect to be able to debut now. She had started to consider leaving Woollim when Jung Yeop announced that they would debut another girl group with the original member of FAERIETALE (except for GiGi, of course). They would have new members, and Sang Mi would get to be the leader this time. She decided to give it a try.

FAMILY:
Cheon Na Young / Mother / 51 / Secretary / Determind, Reliable, and Blunt / alive / Na Young has always been a steady person in the lives of her family. She cares for others deeply, and is always there when they need her. She struggled after the death of her husband. She had to leave their home behind and find a new job in Seoul to support her family. She's never been as bright and optimistic as she would like, but she knows that everyone needs support regardless of how out there they are. She's close to all of her children even if she's not always at home. She supports them in their dreams no matter how crazy some of them seemed at times. She relies on her children to help her stay strong, and they do their best to support her. She and Sang Mi aren't able to talk as often as she would like, but she knows they are busy. She just has to watch her children achieve their dreams however she can.

Cheon Han Jae / Father / Hardworking, Fiery, and Impulsive / dead / There are times when Sang Mi is a lot like her father. They tended to get along rather well. While it sometimes felt like her parents were more focused on her brothers Han Jae was good at pulling Sang Mi aside to assure her that her parents still loved her. She always remembers him being there for her when she really needed him to be. She remembers trips to the park and stories at bed time. She misses him, and she knows that she'll always miss him to some extent. The pain eases over time, but she can't forget the large place in her heart he occupies. She keeps his picture in her wallet among the rest of her family. She even has her moments when she talks to it because she doesn't know where else to go. She lets him continue to give her hope even though he's not around any longer.
Cheon Sang Woo / Twin Brother / 25 / Professional Soccer Player / Outgoing, Athletic, and Cunning / alive / Sang Mi and Sang Woo hve always been close perhaps due to the fact that they were born only minutes apart. They fight the most, but it's never really gone beyond playful fighting between siblings. Sang Woo was born first and he tends to rub it in Sang Mi's face at times. He'll tell her to respect her elder and try to make her do things for him. At times she agrees and at others it leads to fighting. They are able to see each other the least, but that doesn't mean they don't ever talk. Sang Woo travels often to play soccer, and Sang Mi always make sure to watch his games even if she has to borrow their mom's recording of it. They seem to fight a fair amount, but they always have each other's backs. When Sang Mi had trouble after leaving JYP Sang Woo was the one that told her to pick herself back up and get back into doing what she loved.
Cheon Sang Chul / Younger Brother / 23 / Nurse / Intelligent, Compassionate, and Socially Awkward/ alive / Sang Mi sometimes babbies her younger brother. She knows he's a grown adult, but he's just so precious. It doesn't help that he's her only younger brother. Sang Woo wouldn't let her baby him even if she wanted to. Now that Sang Chul takes care of others for his job he expects to be babies less, and Sang Mi does her best, but she will always look out for her brother.  The two get along most of the time. They're both kind of odd and it's easy to lean on each other because they know they understand. They don't get to see each other as often as they would like since they have demanding jobs. When they do they mostly just lay around at home and watch movies. She texts him a great deal and confides in him the most.
Lee Jung Yeop / Uncle / Woollim CEO / Understanding, Encouraging, and Strict / alive / It was strange to suddenly life with and uncle that they remember seeing once or twice on holidays. He wasn't bad to be around, but the situation seemed odd. Jung Yeop tried to be understanding, and he helped take care of him. It was weird to see him waiting to take them home from school or to go see movies with him. He was always encouraging of their dreams even when Sang Mi wanted to be part of a different entertainment company. He's not always nice since he has to be able to keep his employees in line. He keeps people out of trouble, and Sang Mi knows that he's a little soft on her. She just wished it wasn't so obvious to others at times.

FRIENDS:
Lee Jae Min / Best Friend / 25 / Band Teacher / Outgoing, Charismatic, and Impulsive / alive / Jae Min is one of the only friends Sang Mi has from school. He transfered to her university after spending a long time in Australia. They know each other from a band class they took together. They don't have much time to spend together now, but the text when they can. When they meet up they mostly go for coffee. She doesn't have to hide him even though she worries that this will be the relationship that people misunderstand.
Clara / Group mate and self pro-claimed little sister  / 16 / 4xU Member / Gentle, Quiet, and Sensitive / alive / Sang Mi always wants to take care of Clara. The younger girl is sweet and Sang Mi feels as though she needs to look after the girl as if she were her little sister. The other members are important to her as well, but she doesn't feel as if she has to take care of them as much. She also loves that Clara plays the Viola. She wishes they could have a band concept in the future so they could all play together.
Bang Yong Guk / Friends with Benefits / 25 / B.A.P Member / Quiet, Helpful, and Hardworking / alive / Sang Mi has always gotten admired Yong Guk. He works hard for everything and he always manages to keep his group together even through their tough times. She also admires that he's worked through the underground and now the idol world. They've taken their friendship to another level, but he's made it clear that he's not interested in anything more. She's fine with that for the most part.
Seo Yu Na / Friends with Benefits / 23 / AOA Member / Helpful, Bright, and Secretive / alive / Sang Mi and Yu Na get along well. When they have the opportunity to hang out they go to the movies or other normal hang out places. It's not odd to see two girls hang out that way, but in private they have something more. Sang Mi says that she doesn't want more, but Yu Na doesn't think she feels the same.

OTHERS:
Jang Dong Woo / Ex-boyfriend / 25 /Infinite member / Passionate, Confident, and Judgemental  / alive / Dong Woo and Sang Mi met some time after Sang Mi joined Woollim. They hit it off fairly early on and they started to see each other in secret. They liked to do all they cheesey things that couples do. After a while they started to fight often. He broke up with her with the claim that it was because she wasn't straight. They're always a little awkward when they have to interact now. They've both had time to move on, but he's still a little hurt by the way it ended.

if you like me, then say you like me.

LOVE INTEREST: Kim Yong Sun/ Solar

GROUP: Mamamoo

BACKUP LOVER: Seo Yu Na/ Yuna

GROUP: AOA

PERSONALITY: + Optimistic, Understanding, Creative, and Self-aware  -Excitable, Easily distracted, Perfectionistic, and Blunt
Solar is a person that fans often compare to sunshine. She's always bright and full of smiles. Even when she's not having the best day she will put a smile on her face. She tries to believe the best in people. Optimism is more of a choice at times, but she always wants to make that choice. At times she can be a little too excitable. It's hard for some people to deal with constant positivity. She also can push herself a little too far when it comes to faking happiness. It shouldn't be a chore to be happy.

She loves to create and try new things. She doesn't want to be limited to one way of thinking or doing things. She loves music and she wants to be able to create and contribute to their music in their career. She knows that there's always so much more to learn and experience when it comes to something she loves. She can be perfectionistic when it comes to creating things. She wants everything to perfect. This can get in the way at times especially when dealines spring up or there's a change to plans. She does her best to try to turn it into making her art amazing and not letting it bring her down.

She isn't always good at being subtle. She tends to say what she thinks at all times. Her honesty can be refreshing, but it can also be unintentionally hurtful. Sometimes people are hurt by her blunt behavior even though that wasn't her intention. She's also rather self-aware. She knows that she has fault and so do others. She's not afraid to own up to when she does things incorrectly. She finds that it's good for her self esteem. She doesn't want to ignore her faults in the hope that things will go away.

RELATIONSHIP: Sang Mi fell in love with Solar as soon as they met at an awards show. They weren't able to talk much, but Sang Mi was entranced by Solar. The younger girls seems to be the type of person that compliment Sang Mi well. She is open about things and she's able to help Sang Mi make peace with the things that she can't always change. Solar is able to be honest and help take the worry off of Sang Mi's shoulders. After their appearance on the same awards show Sang Mi followed Mamamoo on social media and made sure to listen to their music. She felt a little creepy so she kept away from getting too personal. She didn't expect it to be more than a little fan crush. She was surprised when Solar approached her at the next show they did together. Solar was fairly shameless during their conversation and she managed to leave with Sang Mi's phone number. They started to text slowly at first then daily. After that they started to meet up for coffee dates or shopping trips when they had the time. It progressed like most relationships do even with the obstacle of idol life. Sang Mi later found out that it turned out that Solar might have been a little enamored by Sang Mi after their first meeting as well. It might not have been love for her, but she was certainly enough to get her attention. Sang Mi stopped her friends with benifits relationships when she decided to persue a relationship with Solar. She's still friends with them, but she doesn't want to do anything to risk this relationship. Solar has always been fairly comfortable with the fact that she likes girls. She can't be as open about it as she would like, but she's at least able to be comfortable with it. She never really expected to like Sang Mi as much as she does. She's aware that the other girl is open to friends with benifits so she didn't imagine they'd be too serious. Then as they started to get to know each other Solar realized that she couldn't imagine letting Sang Mi go. She wanted to keep this feeling for as long as possible. She could tell Sang Mi felt the same when she was willing to give up her friends with benefits. They're bother busy in their idol lives so they are understanding when it comes to not being able to talk all times. Solar wants to plan their dates when they are able to hang out. She always wants them to be perfect. They do small things like watching movies curled up on the couch. They also do larger things like going to an amusement park. They don't run into scandals as often as they would if they weren't both women. At times Sang Mi kind of wishes they would. She doesn't want to keep Solar a secret.

TRIVIA:
- Sang Mi tries to get couple things for her and Solar for almost any reason. Just nothing too obvious.
- Sang Mi calls Solar her little Solar system because she likes to be cheesy.
- Solar has met Sang Chul and Na Young already. They enjoy her company and think she's a good match for Sang Mi.
- They've tried to come up with a couple name, but the best they have is 'salami'.
