{RANT} Minzy Leaving 2NE1...

Minzy is officially leaving YG!!

*sobs*

I've known this for a while now, but I wanted to let the statements release and the idea sizzle in my head before I actually talked about it. Well, here I am right now at midnight writing this emotional @ss blog response. 

My Thoughts: I'm not even surprised. 

Ever since Jessica left SNSD (forever 9) I've lost hope that groups will stay together. I'm starting to not care and detach myself from these groups so I won't be hurt. Yes, I am deeply upset that Minzy is leaving. 2ne1 is my favorite girl group only 2nd to f(x). They've been around since my Kpop discovery back in 2012. I am more connected with them than the newer groups. However, I'm not in utter shock. I can't say I saw it coming, but I do understand why she didn't renew her contract.

Think about it. Where's Minzy's solo?? *looks around* YG has been promising it back in the Baddest Female era and fastward 3 years and I still haven't seen it. I'm not saying that's the reason she left but it sure as hell makes sense why she wants to leave. She isn't growing like she should be. Minzy is SO talented. Her voice is the most stable in 2ne1 and her dancing is superb. She should be prospering like the other members (with magazine covers, commercials, solos, dramas ect.) but you NEVER see her. After dedicating over a decade of your life to a company and following their rules for so long, she probably got tired of being neglected.  

I believe that 2ne1 will be fine without Minzy. Once Bom gets back into the spotlight the vocal will back. CL will lead the group well. Dara is still gorgeous. They will lose a little bit of spunk, but I can see them promoting as 3. And if they break up (let's hope not!!) I will be somewhat expecting it.

Minzy will be fine on her own as well. Jay Park, Kris, Luhan, and Lee Joon are all doing fine. She is talented and personable enough to hold her own. I hope she can find a company that appreciates her. I hope YG can pay more attention to his artists.  

2ne1 won't be the same anymore, but like with Exo, SNSD, and f(x) I learned to move on. This is the way the Kpop industry operates :( 

2ne1 and Minzy FIGHTING!! ^^

it's not yg's fault, minzy didn't fight hard enough for her own solo thing, tbh
you can see how hard bom, dara and cl worked for themselves, especially dara and cl
minzy didn't really do much other than be a good vocal and dancer.
she didn't have anything special about her like the others
dara isn't talented vocally or dance wise, but she's a good actress and works hard
cl is very good at rapping, vocals and dancing, she's worked hard
bom is a very unique and eye catching vocal, she worked hard
minzy, i'm not saying she didn't work hard with her training
she just didn't seem to want it very much? idk ;;
