STYLE:
Hayoon's style is what most people would describe as a comfortable-cute look. She does love her dresses and skirts and rarely wears pants (there's stockings or leggings for that) or shorts. But at the same time, she doesn't wear dresses that are rather difficult to walk in because the material is too stiff and whatnot. When it gets cold, she prefers to wear wooly knits such as sweaters and cardigans because she prefers soft edges over the harsh lines of a blazer or a jacket (she just looks better in softer lines). She generally wears pretty light colours and never wears neon and rarely wears dark colours.

Hayoon is a petite girl who doesn't really fit the kpop idol mould with her height. But at least, what she lacks in height, she makes up for by looking totally adorable. She has rounded cheeks that still have baby fat (and she might not ever lose them) and whilst her eyes aren't the biggest, she has an eye smile to make up for it. Even without smile, Hayoon looks like she's always smiling because that's what her resting face looks like. She has no tattoos on her pale skin and she has two lobe piercings on each ear where she usually wears a stud in the top ones and a hoop in the bottom ones.

PERSONALITY —
When you first meet Hayoon, you will be forgiven for thinking that she's a cute, innocent child. It's fine, everyone does that and it's hardly like she discourages it, she dresses childishly for a reason and it's because she finds people's reactions hilarious when she gives them a rude awakening. Innocent? Naive? Please, those words are far from the truth. Hayoon is a foul-mouthed ball of anger contained into a tiny body. She doesn't swear that often but often enough and certainly the most out of most people she knows. Go ahead and judge her for her language, she doesn't give a . Hayoon swears a lot more when she's angry and that's something that happens a lot. You see, she's a pretty short-tempered person and it's not hard to rile her up and when she explodes, she does so violently. But Hayoon has never been taught martial arts so she just flails her fists around wildly and after you get over the shock of seeing this tiny girl come running at you, it's pretty easy to incacipate her. She at fighting.

Her short temper and violent consequences can be attributed to one thing and it's that Hayoon is the complete opposite of a calm, level-headed person. She's someone who lets emotions get the best of her, wearing her heart on her sleeve. This means that when she gets angry, she will not hold it in. It also means that she's an honest person. She's a terrible liar because her body language gives her away too easily but she's too honest to think about lying anyways. "Hayoon, does this dress look good?" "No it looks like pig ." Sure she might be blunt and rude about it but at least she doesn't sugarcoat or mollycoddle, you can trust Hayoon to tell it like it is.

Hayoon's honesty makes her very easy to read. When she's happy, you can almost see the aura radiating off her, if the blinding smile didn't already notify you. But happiness isn't Hayoon's dominant emotion, anger and frustration are, but there's one thing that's always sure to make her smile. And it's dancing. Hayoon is not the type to do things halfway, she either does them or she doesn't and she threw herself into dancing with a passion of a thousand suns. She absolutely adores dancing, 100% and it's cute to see someone so genuinely passionate about her career. Being an idol is the best job she could have ever dreamed of, because she gets to dance everyday. She really hates it when people assume that her dancing isn't powerful because of her stature and she also hates it when people don't take dancing seriously, and call it something easy because all you have to do is move your body.

Hayoon is a fiery person. She's a mischievous and cheeky brat who finds it funny to annoy people. That's why she is always punning around and cracking bad jokes, she doens't expect anyone to actually laugh at them but she just wants them to groan at her and shake their heads. And her pranks, well, Hayoon is too dumb to think of anything complicated and her pranks are simple and refreshing, a simple whoopee cushion on the chair, or a joy buzzer in the hand. Again, her goal isn't to make people laugh, it's just to make them annoyed. But that's the tame side of her cheeky nature. The less tame side is that Hayoon is an adrenaline junkie. She's a troublemaker but not in the sense that she hurts others, no she makes others worry about her. She's extremely reckless and daring and will do anything for a kick. Jumping off a cliff into rocky waters? She digs that! Skydiving from the stratosphere? She's all about that cheap thrill. Some people call this bravery, as she is pretty fearless about most things but really, it's just foolishness. Hayoon is an impulsive person who doesn't think things through and according to her, jumping into the abyss just to feel the thrill, without knowing what's at the bottom, is totally worth it.

The most important thing to know about Hayoon is that she's an idiot. A real airhead, someone who is actually stupid. You can tell that to her face, she won't get mad because she acknowledges it. Yea, she was last in her class every year but according to her, that's because she had better ways to use her brain than academics. Her lack of thinking is why she's so impulsive, why she at fighting (she doesn't even think to dodge) and why her pranks are so simple (as if she has the brainpower for elaborate schemes). Hayoon has always been an impatient person and this means that she's pretty hot-headed. She's also pretty competitive, just say that she can't do something and she will do anything to prove you wrong. She's a hot-headed idiot like that.

But at the end of the day, Hayoon is a fun person to be around. There's never a dull moment with her, whether you're sick with worry over the next reckless thing she's done or laughing over the sheer ridiculousness of her adventures. Hayoon is an extrovert, she's comfortable in crowds and outgoing and sociable. But don't think that just because she's outgoing, then that means that she wants to be friends with everyone. In fact, Hayoon is pretty wary of strangers and she doesn't really hold conversations with them. Monologues, on the other hand, are easy as pie for her and she could regale a crowd of strangers with her stories for hours on end. But conversations? They're a whole other thing. Her rude behaviour makes her almost intimidating and hard to approach, almost, if it wasn't for her height. But whilst she doesn't like spilling her secrets to strangers easily, she doesn't usually take long to warm up to them and soon you'll be groaning at her bad jokes like everyone else.

Trainee life — When she was a trainee, a lot of people looked down on her. She told herself that maybe it was because of her age but that wasn't really much of a consollation because a lot of trainees were even younger than her 15 years. Simply put, the reason why people looked down on her was because of her, well, appearance. She was much shorter than average as she had only just begun to hit her growth spurt (she was a late-bloomer) so people looked at her and thought she was ten years old. Then they laughed because they thought she wasn't serious, that she would never be able to debut which really really, pissed her off. This triggered her competitive spirit and throughout the entire length of her training, she was constantly fired up, trying to prove those girls wrong.

Scandals —
Year anytime-post-debut | Hayoon has always been someone that people called an evil maknae. It was well-known that her aegyo was fake af and that no one was actually supposed to take it seriously only to be completely  shocked when she revealed herself as someone who was pretty rude and tells it like it is. But still, even though Hayoon made that publicly known that she wasn't going to be the nicest idol, a lot of people gave her for it. They called her two-faced and fake because her exagerrated aegyo and they spread (false) rumours that she was always rude and disrespectful to her sunbaes. That rumour was started because Hayoon always treated her unnies in the band with some sort of disrespect, as some people would see it, but to the band it was just a friendly teasing.

background — Hayoon was born to a pretty average middle-class family.  She was born after a string of unsuccessful attempts at conceiving. When she was born premature, that coupled with her mother's age meant that there was a high change that she would have a chromosomal disorder or have a developmental delay. Luckily she was declared healthy and her parents instantly adored and doted on her, after all they went through so much just to conceive her. Hayoon developed a passion for dance at seven years old after watching it on TV. Once she declared that she wanted to take lessons, her family poured every cent into ensuring that she got only the best dance lessons in the country.

In primary school, Hayoon was simply put, a failure. She was never good at studying or academics but nonetheless she was pretty popular amongst the student body. Despite at grades, she was involved in a lot of after-school activities. Whilst many students judged other students based on their grades, Hayoon was popular for her friendly nature and there wasn't a single person (except for the younger years) who didn't know who she was. Of course, the teachers tried very hard to instil a love of learning into her but she was always restless in class and would't listen despite all the detentions and eventually they gave up.

After primary school, she decided that she wanted to go to a performing arts school. Of course, it was a private school and she had already burdened her parents enough with her willful requests thus she trained very hard in order to win the scholarship and eventually did so. At the school, as it was one of the few in the country, many came from other cities and lived in the dorms. It was a very competitive place and the school openly encouraged some competition. Of course, that meant that Hayoon was often getting into fights with others due to the tension that hung over everyone to be the best and she often came back with bruises that weren't from dance. At 14 years old, Hayoon began attending auditions for various companies over the span of a year as it had always been her dream to performn on the big stage. She was accepted into Jellyfish at 15.

Father | Seo Jungho | 57 | Doting, funny, laid-back | Jungho is one of the 'cool dads'. He's someone who doesn't try to run his kid's life, or is that just laziness? In any case, he isn't someone to force his beliefs onto others and is happy for his daughter to do anything as long as she's happy doing it. The two get along a lot and since he's about the same mental age as her, always get scolded by his wife.
Mother | Lim Youngmi | 56 | Protective, strict, kind| As much as Youngmi tries to be the voice of reason in their cacophonous household, she always ends up failing. Whilst her husband would be content letting their daughter do anything, she at least tries to steer Hayoon down the right path but won't force her to do something she doesn't want. Hayoon loves her mother a lot.

friends — 

Best friend | Park Iseul | 17  | Loud, prankster, troublemaker | Classmates at the same performing arts school (Iseul studies drama) | Iseul was, along with Hayoon, not the favourite of the teachers. After al lthe two of them were completely focused on their arts and couldn't care less about their academics so were constantly last in the grade. The two of them were always causing trouble for the school, getting into fights with people who looked down on them. Clearly, they were the bestest of friends.

How you met/meet — The two of them meet some time after LAUV's debut by being together in a one-time project group. As both of them are the main dancers of their groups, along with the main dancers of a few other rookie (ish) girl groups, they formed a project group and performed a dance number during one of the big music show awards (Gayo daejun, Melon idk). The performance was planned to showcase the raw talent of the girls thus whilst they were given the song, they were told to choreograph it themselves. During the planning of it, Momo constantly made quirky suggestions that were jokes (what if we attach wings to ourselves and fly?) and whilst the other girls laughed at them, Hayoon got really pissed that Momo wasn't taking this seriously. Of course, Momo instantly defended herself, saying that that was her taking it seriously but Hayoon was still really pissed off about it. You see, Hayoon is very passionate about dancing and it really annoys her when people don't take it as seriously as they should and Momo's dreamy, in the clouds talk was exactly what Hayoon didn't like. But they have to work together as a project group and Hayoon does so with reluctance but doesn't even acknowledge Momo for the rest of the short time that they work together.

After their performance, there's certainly a lot of publicity surrounding it. The audience is suitably impressed by the power of the young girls' moves but there's also a buzz surrounding Hayoon and Momo. After all, Hayoon has always been an honest person who's easy to read so it's not hard for people to see just how much she didn't even look at Momo during the interview portions. This is one of the first 'disrespectful hoobae' scandals that Hayoon is involved in and a lot of TWICE fans are really mad about Hayoon's attitude towards Momo. But Momo is a kind person at heart and she agrees with LAUV's manager's plan to film the two of them getting along to quiet the bad press that Hayoon's been getting. But Hayoon is a terrible actor so Momo and Hayoon are forced to hang out by their managers in order for the video to seem less forced. So they decide to go to an amusement park. And it's really hard for Hayoon to keep hating Momo when the other girl is just as into adrenaline-inducing rollercoaster as she is. Hayoon judges people a lot based on their 'bravery' (as she calls it) and she reluctantly admits that if Momo loves rollercoaster, then she can't be all bad.

The two of them haven't met yet but when they do, the first thing they will do is heads. After all, it's not hard to rile Hayoon up and Momo's weirdness is enough to piss her off just by looking at her. But of course, how can Hayoon hate someone who howls with laughter at her terrible puns? Hayoon hates to admit it but she kinda likes Momo's boundless enthusiasm and she wouldn't be lying if she said that Momo was the best audience she had ever had. In a way, the two of them become some sort of friends, if friends do reckless things daily then joke about it.

In fact, you could go so far as to say that the two of them are terrible influences on each other. Momo always loved things that turned her heart rate all the way up but with Hayoon, those have changed from rollercoasters to skydiving. As for Hayoon well, she's never had someone encourage her so much before, from telling jokes to jumping off cliffs into the raging sea before so she's having the time of her life. But in the end, the two of them don't hang out unless it's for dance or for getting adrenaline running. They don't meet up in coffee shops or watch movies together so Hayoon vehemently denies that they're friends, or even dating, as some people have suggested.

Because going off alone, to a beach, in the middle of the night, then stripping down and jumping off a cliff straight into freezing water, is not a date at all right?

Around people
When they're around people, Hayoon pretty much actively avoids Momo. It really pisses Momo off because she knows how well they get along and why is Hayoon trying so hard in pretending that she doesn't like Momo when they hang out so well? (The answer is pride, when Hayoon and Momo first met, their not getting along was pretty well known and Hayoon refuses to admit that she was swayed by Momo's charms) Of course, once Momo finds out, she just starts laughing and Hayoon gets really embarrassed because she thinks that Momo is laughing at her but Momo is just 'no it's just, that's too cute'. After this, Hayoon kinda gives up on the whole avoiding thing but still tries to deny how much she enjoys Momo's presence, both to herself and to others. When asked whether the two of them are friends (by bandmates from either band), Hayoon is all 'no' but Momo is draped all over her and Hayoon's bandmates know how much she doesn't like to be touched so they don't buy it for a bit.
