appearance » Sora is a rather short girl and one of the shortest in the idol scene, standing at only 156cm and weighing in at 40kg. She is a petite and skinny girl,even by idol standards and has a flat chest so it's no surprise people are shocked when she says that she can drink because she looks like a 12 year old. She has clear, pale skin as she doesn't like going outside much and big eyes with constant pockets of eye fat under them which is now seen as aegyo. Her hair is naturally straight and reaches the middle of her back and is usually tied up in two pigtails. She is quite short-sighted and so chooses to wear glasses when off-stage but wears contacts when necessary.

style » Because of her short height, Sora is often told to wear heels all the time to make up for it. However much she prefers comfort, she does agree with the agency but refuses to wear stilettos on a daily basis, instead settling for wedges and chunky heels. She loves the Japanese lolita fashion but wearing something like that in South Korea would give her weird looks so she takes bits and pieces from the style such as the preference for pastel colours, the abundance of lace and ruffles but her dresses are less puffy, the design less abundantly patterned. However if you were to compare her fashion style to someone on the street, she would be certainly dressed more extravagantly than them.

trainee years » 2 years
trainee background » Sora entered Atlas when she was 16, in 2014. She did not get along with the other trainees, not because they picked on her, no quite the opposite, but because she actively avoided them. During practise, she would creep in at the last minute and head to a dark corner to practise and during singing practise, barely any sound came out. For a year, Atlas tried to get her to come out of her shell but when nothing happened, they considered dropping her since she wasn't showing any progress at all. However, one day she arrived at the studio very early when no one was around, armed with a video camera and dressed up like Yazawa Nico from Love Live! by wearing her practise outfits. Her shoot today was to pretend she was practising like Nico would so she sang and danced to her favourite songs with passion. When the Atlas executives saw, they were relieved that they hadn't actually accepted a dud but it took a long time before she started putting the same amount of passion into her kpop songs (even now, she's still very much a hermit stuck in her shell).

Sora is the type of person who doesn't draw that much attention to herself and she has such a lack of presence when she's in the room that it's not uncommon for people to forget that she's there in the first place. And that's completely fine with her because she doesn't want to have any attention on her at all. She is an introverted person who feels uncomfortable in the limelight and would rather stick to the shadows and is relieved when people don't talk to her. You see, she is a very socially awkward person who doesn't know what to say and ends up saying the wrong thing 99% of the time. So to avoid these numerous embarrassing situations, Sora just stays away from the social scene altogether; she would rather stay at home. She is a quiet and shy person who speaks so softly that you have to really pay attention to understand her and on the rare occasions where she says something longer than three words, her voice becomes gradually softer and more unsure until she is literally whispering.

She is someone who tries very hard to please other people which is why a lot of people call her a pushover. It's like she doesn't have a will of her own and if she does, than it's very weak. If she thinks that someone wants her to lie about how pretty that dress looks on her, then she will do exactly that if it will please the other people. If someone says to her "I'm so tired and I still have to do my essay" then Sora will instantly volunteer to help them with their essay just to keep them happy. She is desperate for other people's approval and through some twisted logic, has come to the conclusion that if she does whatever she can to please them, then they will like her as opposed to simply improving herself. As a result, Sora is always dependant on other people and never relies on herself. She would not be able to survive on her own and she as no qualities of a leader as she has more of the sheep mentality. This pushover and weak-willed nature of hers means that it's too easy for people to use her simply by threatening their friendship.

When Sora was in school, a lot of her 'friends' always used her to help to help them get good marks.This is because Sora was a straight A student at school, consistently placing in the top ten of her year. She is book-smart, simply having a knack for studying and memorising due to her eidetic memory (ie. photographic memory). See, the amount of effort she put into her study was very minimal. Compared to others who worked hard for exams and started preparing three weeks early, Sora was very much the type to cram at the last minute and ultimately come out on top due to her ridiculous memory and it's something a lot of people are bitter about. Why is it that she does better when she puts in less than one-tenth of the effort that other people do? However much they complain, the end result is the same, Sora doesn't care about her school work when she would rather be watching her anime.

Whilst Sora is a pushover about most things and prefers to keep her opinions to herself in general, when it comes to anime it's a completely different story. When she's talking about anime, it's as if a completely new person has inhabited her body. She is completely passionate about anime, bordering on obsession. When it comes to her favourite anime, she knows everything there is to know and this time, it's because she put the effort into memorising all this informaion and remembering it when she's feeling down. When it comes to anime, she talks at 10 words per word, speaking so fast and throwing around a lot of anime-specific jargon that it's impossible to understand her. Not only does she love watching the anime, she also enjoys cosplay, fanfiction, doujinshi and everything there is to enjoy.

Sora is a very emotional person. This manifests in different ways, in the fact that she's a pushover because she doesn't want people to hate her, in the fact that she is obsessed with anime etc. She is also someone who is a crybaby. The tiniest thing can set her off, whether it's a happy cry or a sad cry. Simply insulting her favourite anime is enough to get her angrily yelling at you while tears stream down her face. Looking at pictures of baby animals makes her so emotional that she starts bawling at the computer screen. Watching a romatic scene in a movie makes her start sniffling and don't even get started on the death scenes, the room will become a lake of tears. She simply has a lot of emotions okay?

Whilst a lot of people like to use Sora for her weak will, in the end, Sora is a very likeable person. Her quiet voice and inability to be angry about anything other than anime means that she's a rather gentle person with a soothing aura. She isn't the motherly type, doesn't have any notion of responsibility for that but she's someone who is always there to listen to your problems, even if she has no advice to give you in return. She's a supportive person who subtly nudges people in the right direction when they need it and is never harsh to anyone. A lot of people feel rather protective over Sora because they look at her and see a pure cinnamon bun (but what they don't know is that she's a sinnamon bun because all the fanfiction has long corrupted her innocence). However, Sora has rather low self-esteem and she believes that people won't ever like her unless she tries her utmost to make them happy which is why to her, friendships feel more 90% effort on her part and 10% on their part whilst to them it's much more equal. She's rather insecure and doesn't believe that people like her for how she is, a shy otaku.

background » Sora was born to a large and very well-off family. Her father owns a fashion label and her mother runs a modelling agency which meant that their family was very wealty. She has four olderbrothers and is the youngest child and her parents' only daughter which meant that she was the favourite child. She was always given anything she wanted and whilst her parent's put pressure on the older kids to take over their fashion empire, it was always assumed that she wouldn't be part of that big responsibility and whilst it pissed her off when she was young, she eventually grew to love her position. You see, her parents expected big things out of their older kids but Sora was basically free to do whatever she wanted. If she so much as mentioned wanting something, the next morning she would find it in her room and if she didn't want to go to school but rather be home-schooled, her parents would make that happen. You would think that this would make Sora a very bratty and spoilt child but when she turned thirteen, an event happened that made that impossible.

Thirteen was the year that Sora discovered anime and she instantly became obsessed with it. Her requests for more clothes and toys turned into requests for anime merchandise, material to make cosplay (her father was very proud of her) and technology to sink deeper into the otaku fandom. She decided that she didn't want to go to school anymore and wanted to be home-schooled so that she would have more time to play otome games and watch anime and her parent's instantly agreed. She told them that she wanted to meet the voice actors of her at-the-time favourite anime characters and her parent's instantly flew her over to Japan and convinced (hint: bribed) the director to let her sit in.

In 2013, when she was 15, a new anime came out, Love Live! School Idol Project and Sora instantly fell in love with the anime. It is still her favourite anime to date and it was the anime that convinced her to become an idol, after adoring similar anime as well. She always sung and danced along to the Love Live! songs. At first, her parents were convinced that her dream to become an idol was just a phase as this wasn't the first time this happened. After watching Naruto, she wanted to become a ninja and after Attack on TItan, she wanted to run away to a Titan-infested world. However when her dream didn't fade after a year, her parents finally relented and set up private auditions with numerous entertainment companies. However, after her years of isolation, upon entering the wider world again, Sora was struck with the equivalent of stage fright and many companies rejected the shaking, quivering girl who sung as quietly as a mouse and couldn't stop shaking long enough to dance powerfully. Not even her parents' bribes could convince them. However Atlast Ent. was willing to give her a try because they saw potential in her shaky performance and so began her trainee life.

Seolhyun is someone who is very comfortable in her own skin. She knows that she's a drop-dead gorgeous y goddess and she isn't afraid to flaunt it. So she wears short dresses, tight skirts, mid-driff baring cleavage revealing tops; that doesn't make her a . She isn't afraid to show off her body because she knows how y she looks. She has a lot of confidence, both in her looks and in everything she does. Seolhyun knows exactly what her abilities are and what they are worth and she has the utmost faith in her own person. She is a determined person who sets goals for herself and the aims to clear them. She won't doubt herself or look back because to her, that is the equivalent of failure and for her, it's go hard or go home.

Seolhyun is a true social butterfly. She loves being in the centre of attention, you could say that she gets her kicks out of having everyone look at her and being on stage is a high that she can never get sick of. She's someone who likes to be around people and gets too antsy if it's too quiet or lonely. She's a talkative person who always has something to say even if it's just to feel the silence because the quiet unnerves her. Just because she's a chatterbox doesn't mean she's annoying, on the contrary, Seolhyun is rather popular and it's not just because of her looks. No, she is a friendly and outgoing person who is determined to get along with everyone that she meets. Eventually everyone will cave to her charms and those who don't are all the more fun to become friends with.

She is also a very flirty person. A lot of it is without intent ie. she isn't really interested in you. She flirts like she breathes, every second word that comes out of is ladden with innuendo. She likes watching people redden under her advances but if someone tries to take it a step further, she instantly lets them know that she isn't actually interested, that she's just playing around. Because Seolhyun is a playful person, she likes to tease and cajole, likes to watch how many expressions a human face can make. In a way, she's a bit of a sadist because she likes pushing people to their limits just to watch the expressions they make. However at times, she doesn't know when to stop and takes the joke too far because she's a little inconsiderate to other people, an insensitive person.

love story » Sora first met Seolhyun in 2014, when Sora had just started training at ATLAS. Her father decided to use Seolhyun (as well other idols) to model his newest fashion brand aimed at young adults, a mixture of sophisticated and y with some fun thrown in and he chose Seolhyun to be his main model because he believed that she was the best idol suited for it (he wanted to use idols to appeal to a younger audience). It wasn't uncommon for Sora to tag along to her father's shoots and so she went to watch and was instantly mesmerised by the way Seolhyun dominated the shoot. For the five days of the shoot, Sora tagged along to quietly watch each one and by the third day, Seolhyun noticed that she had an admirer. Of course, Sora was way too shy to walk up to Seolhyun and tell her that she thought she was super pretty and by the fourth day, she managed to gather up the courage to give a bottle of water to Seolhyun. Of course, her nerves got the better of her and she tripped and fell right in front of Seolhyun and then became really red and embarrassed and ran out of the shoot.

Seolhyun was the one who approached her whilst she sat sulking on the stairs outside the building. She sat down beside Sora, gave her a bottle of water whilst striking a rather one-sided conversation and in the next few minutes Sora decided that Seolhyun's presence was one she could tolerate. In another burst of sudden courage, Sora turned to Seolhyun and told her straight off that she thought Seolhyun was super pretty and that she liked to be around her and talk to her and she just liked her. Seolhyun looked really surprised and then she smiled, ruffling Sora's hair and saying 'thank you' and Sora was really confused until Seolhyun blatantly called her a kid. She looked down at her above knee length dress of pastel pink with white lace and ruffles and realised that her hair was braided into two plaits and realised that Seolhyun probably thought she was all of ten. After all, there were almost four years of difference between them and Seolhyun was so much taller.

Apart from that one meeting, Sora never had an opportunity to have a proper conversation with Seolhyun again but in the two years she waited, she realised that what she felt for Seolhyun wasn't admiration but something out of the otome dating games that she always played. However she knew that Seolhyun would never see her as anything but a short kid, even if she was almost 18. But Sora is determined to win Seolhyun's heart, pursuing it with a passion that had only previously been displayed towards anime. Why is she so attached to Seolhyun? It's true, she is Sora's first love and what does she know about love outside of video games? Sora herself isn't sure why she's so determined but it's something about Seolhyun that makes her feel comfortable, makes her feel like holding someone's attention for the first time in her life.

interactions » Seolhyun flirts with everyone that she meets and yet when it comes to Sora, everything that she says is completely innocent and it pisses Sora off because does that mean that Seolhyun doesn't think it's worth flirting with her? You see, Seolhyun, despite knowing that Sora is only four years (well, 3 years and 11 months) younger than her, still treats Sora like a child because of her appearance and her shy personality. Seolhyun ruffles Sora's hair, tweaks Sora's cheeks and gives Sora hugs that put her face right in Seolhyun's s and even that is done with completely innocent intentions on Seolhyun's behalf and Sora gets so annoyed because all she wants is for Seolhyun to see her as an adult. Anyone who has ever seen Seolhyun and Sora interact knows that Sora has a crush the size of Jupiter on Seolhyun and yet Seolhyun just cannot see it. Yet, most people also admit that Seolhyun treats Sora differently from how she treats everyone else, apart from the non-flirting thing in the whole protectiveness and even jealousy she displays when it comes to Sora.

Relationship status » Current: Sora has a massive crush on Seolhyun but Seolhyun is completely oblivious but is slowly coming to terms with the fact that she doesn't like seeing Sora with other people.
