— Juliette is the kind of person that usually behaves one way or another depending on how close or how well she knows someone. Out of politeness she's friendly and would talk to someone to just break the ice even though to her it may seem out of place and awkward. This leads to her being easygoing as she would rather be relax and calm instead of uncomfortable and hostile in the environment. Luckily Juliette is able to adapt in her surrounding without totally feeling like an oddball, although she doesn't mind being a wallflower at times as well. Juliette also has a great deal of having empathy for someone or something and tries to perceive many things from different perspective and not be closed-minded often. Juliette can be a playful person if she has created a bond with them where their relationship can be at that level. Sometimes it takes a while only because she doesn't trust so easily and usually treads the water before diving in completely. Sometimes it just depends on the situation and she wants to assess it.

— It's how Juliette is realistic. Sure she's quite imaginative and open-minded, but Juliette reminds herself that there are times when she has to think of real life and those around her. It's why she's reserve with people and likes to see and know how they are before becoming closer. Juliette dislikes it when people judge others as many people have misjudged her lots of time, but than again she knows it's only human nature to do so. So Juliette has to remind herself to not be so biased and try to be fair and see the gray within the black and white. Life is never that easy. Juliette knows that for sure although the struggles are never that easy to deal with, but that what makes life refreshing and the rewards favorable. Anyways, Juliette prefers to compromise instead of choosing or doing one over the other, unless it's sports or something easy since most things in life can be judge fairly without complicating the matters further.

— Even if Juliette can remind herself all of the positive things in life, she knows that the negativity has to come and go as well. Juliette can be impulsive and say and do things that may make her regret it afterwards and may also seem insensitive and like a jerk, too. This can make her become stubborn if she's a firm believer of something or doesn't want change as she has been comfortable with how things have been. It could also mean the changes of doing one thing one way and now having to do it another way. Sometimes it would make her clumsy, not because she has two left feet or is accidental prone, but because she's unfamiliar and unskilled with it all. Which leads to her being absentminded at times as Juliette either forgets and gets lost in the focus or is mentally tired and wants something to distract herself from it all. Somehow stuff life this can make Juliette passive-aggressive without her realizing it. Even if she's frustrated or angry, she'll keep her composure in a calm-like way, but her voice and words will betray her as they'll come out differently then she has initially wanted it to and may sound different to the receiver.

— All in all, Juliette usually says that she's the best example of the saying, 'don't judge a book by its cover'. Juliette knows that people will already think of her one way or another not because they know her, but because they know of her or of how she portrays herself. Juliette won't go out of her way to change someone's mind of what they think of her, but she will give them the opportunity to get to know her better if they wish, and to find out what kind of bond to form with her as well. So like before, Juliette will act and behave one way or another depending on the level of trust, one on one connection, different forms of bonding, and the personal closeness she feels with someone on those many levels. For Juliette, once you step into her life and want to be a part of it, she's forever got your back and will be there for you to her best ability. She doesn't forget those who have done her good or wrong, and pays it back ten fold except the evil part. those who done her wrong, she lets karma get back at them for that.

— Juliette would have to say that her brothers, Jason and Justin were pretty much the main people in her life to mold her into who she is today. Of course she gives credits to her mom every now and then as she's important and gave her the life she has now and such, but she feels likes she owes it her brothers more. Anyways, Juliette is of French and Korean ancestry where she's half-Fench from her father who was born and raised in Argentina, and half-Korean from her mother who is a South Korean immigrant. In Buenos Aires, Argentina was where her mother was sponsored by Juliette's father's family to come live with them and then married Juliette's father. Later for some odd reason on her father's idea, he had smuggled his new wife and two sons into Mexico and through it, and then the family of four settled themselves in Koreatown in Los Angeles, California, USA, somehow when Jason was three years old and Justin was two years old. Juliette was born five years later and actually doesn't know the details of that whole ordeal. Her parents never talked about it, and her brothers don't know the whole story either. To this day, her mom still doesn't speak about it, and talks about something else whenever Juliette or her bros bring it up.

— When she was seven, her father walked out on them and out of their lives leaving her mother to raise three children on her own one day without any explanation whatsoever. Since then it took a major toll on her mother because her mom had to provide for four all on her own. Her mother was still assimilating into another country despite living there for more than ten years, and learning their ways. English was still really not her mother's strong point although she could speak it she still got confused from time to time, and Juliette never really understood or knew her mother's struggles until she went and lived in South Korea on her own. It was one of the reasons on why she was closer with her brothers compare to her mom because her mom was always busy and tired. Her mother did her best, but in the end, it just didn't give the two to form that mother-daughter relationship that most usually would have. Also, another reason to Juliette's behavior and trust issues because of her father's abandonment and her mother never really asking for help.

— Now, how Juliette got into the KPOP scene that eventually led her to becoming a K-Pop idol trainee was actually because of her brothers who listened to all types of music including Korean music since young and whenever they were in Koreatown and the other Korean people engage them into the Korean culture. Also, Jason and Justin were better with the Korean language compare to their little sister, too. Anyways, in late 2012, Juliette's brothers had sent in an application for Juliette to join PLEDIS Entertainment, because they were super fans of After School and really like the group's style and wanted their sister to get in the company and the Kmusic industry so they could meet the female idols and then some.

— Anyhow, the brothers received the e-mail detailing that their sister had passed the document screening and was invited to come for the scene audition. When her brothers threw this piece of news at her she rejected instantly after they told her what they did and such while filling out the application without her permission. they prepped her in what they did and which photo and clips they had sent in. Juliette has never seen her brothers begged so much and asked her for something in her entire life that it threw her off, and taking advantage of their sister's confusion, her brothers convinced her to go to the audition and told her everything that she needed in preparation for the audition. Juliette gave in and just tried it out for fun and so her brothers would get off her back. Plus she never really thought she would actually pass since many others seemed more talented than herself, anyways.

— By the time her brothers have dropped her off so early than the time was stated, she was one of the first set of one hundreds in line and that itself was long already. By the time it was her turn in a group of ten others, she was hungry and needed to use the bathroom pronto. She saw that NU'EST were judging and found it to be good on their end. It made her relieved, yet still nervous as she found them quite good-looking in person. Luckily, she didn't have to introduce herself and so she just sang a part of song she had prepared which was Mariah Carey's Fantasy and was glad she shortened it as the judge cut her off near the end when she was about to finish. Juliette knew she ran out of breath at the wrong times and her voice wavered a bit, but she still felt good singing in front of the judges. After that, an older male judge told her she was done and that she could leave without waiting for the rest like the ones before her and that they would contact her later if she passed the first round of auditions.

— Some time later, Juliette forgot about the audition until she received a call from them. They told her that she had passed and would be joining the final round held in South Korea. Juliette soon found herself going off to South Korea thanks to the persuasion of her brothers who convinced their mother to let her go, of course not alone, as Jason occupied her as Justin couldn't called off days from work or missed any of his classes. Anyways, with an open mind and heart, Juliette gave it her best shot of taking a risk and found herself being accepted into the company as a trainee after passing the final round with her cover of Mariah Carey's We Belong Together and the English version Big Bang ft. 2NE1's Bom's Forever With You mashup. Juliette then learned her mother's struggles through her own eyes as she experienced a cultural shock, the semi-language barrier, being away from home, and the different mindsets of others when she found herself actually living in Seoul, South Korea with Jason before her mother and Justin moved there peromanently half a year later.

She wasn't that close growing up with her mother, but grew closer when moving to South Korea and saw that her mother had suffered a lot on her own, and felt sorry for her mom and decided not to be such a burden to her. They talk a lot nowadays and grown stronger as mother-daughter.

Goes to Jason whenever it concerns for helpful advice, real life stuff, and useful tips and to just go to to talk about things. She would rather have serious conversations with him than Justin because she knows that Jason knows how to keep his mouth shut and doesn't spill the bean and what not. Also, Jason conveys his words in a calm-like manner and listens very well.

Goes to Justin whenever she needs support and to hear a friendly voice whenever she's down or just after a long day. Justin always manage to cheer her up and just how he'll always say that he'll "beat up whoever hurt his baby sister" even if it was a girl. This instantly brings up her mood and get out of her funk where as Jason is for just real feel good conversations. Also Justin is like one big, cuddly teddy bear.

Since growing up, they were a lot alike. They both had a father walk out on them leaving their mother to being a single mother, and being of mixed races as well. Joey was the one that helped Juliette out with learning Korean as well. They been through thick and thin and consider one another as real sisters. Juliette can always depend on Joey just like she can count on her brothers being there for her. The two keep in touch through social media despite being oceans a part. Joey usually does it through facebook and twitter.

Became the first real friend since moving to South Korea. They were classmates at KKFS and over time became closer and talked to one another. Although not in the status as family like Joey, but Juliette sees Dasol as someone that she can depend and rely on and who's close by whenever she can't get in touch with Joey and not as annoying as her brothers. Juliette still trusts her a lot and knows that Dasol will always be there for her and vice versa since Dasol always wanted a sister. Dasol usually keeps in touch with kakao and line.

trainee life 

— Juliette's trainee life was, well, a full-blown roller coaster ride filled with the good, the bad, and all the other little things in-between. Sure she looked mostly Asian and was of Korean descent, but her lack of proficiency in the language made her somewhat of a slight target for teasing along with her "foreign" name and the way she was. Juliette dealt with the attitudes of the people she trained with, worked under, and the other trainees that were foreign as well as those like her who she found a more basic understanding and connection with after tolerating the rest. Juliette wasn't used to such a schedule of waking up, practice, practice some more, eat, little sleep, and practice once again, and then doing it over and over. Sure it was a daily routine, but for her at first it was a rigorous schedule that she wasn't sure she wanted to continue with. Sure she cried a lot, whined a lot, got frustrated, wanted to quit it all, but she would never allowed them to see that. Juliette didn't want to give them the satisfaction that she was being weak, being a 'crybaby', a person who didn't deserve to be there like them, and the likes as it would make her not dedicated or devoted.

— Juliette also thought of Jason and Justin a lot, and wondered how they would feel and think of her for not continuing with this. Then another realization hit her was that this was probably how her mother felt. When that dawned on her, Juliette did some serious thinking and found new respect for her mother. Juliette now knew that this was what her mom felt probably every single day, although not the same, but the experience of it. New environment, culture, and things done differently than you were used to. So she it in, and told herself that if her mom can live in the states and go about her day for twenty plus years, then she could muster the will power to do the same thing in her mother's homeland, which was now hers as well. Juliette continued to put up with everything, although she cried and wanted to go home and missed her family and friends terribly, she knew that in the end, it would all be worth it. Also, Juliette wanted to tell her mom that she was sorry, but she finally understood her and that all of her hard-work, was for her and that's why she continued with the trainee life to debut.

— Anyways, Juliette continued to practice to better her Korean by listening to a lot of Korean music and watching K-movies. She despised the K-dramas so she never watched it as she felt they were quite dramatic and not appealing. This is where she found a love for the K-Hip Hop sound as it reminded her a lot of the American hip-hop and just loved how the words flow in Korean, and always seemed to have great beats. It piqued her interest more and she wanted to pursue herself in that sort of direction and focus. Vocally she doesn't mind singing and wanted to go in that direction as she enjoyed singing, but she felt like her voice was not comparable to hit such high notes and what not like her fellow trainees who outshined her in comparisons. So it was one of the main reasons to go either for rap or dance as they seemed to match her more and these two didn't feel as competitive and could go either way with whatever style you brought to the table. Anyhow, Juliette decided on being more of a dancer or performer as she could dance to express herself as the movements helped to free a bit of herself and to really let herself go with the beat of the sound. Overall, practicing wasn't that bad, sure it was tough, but what could you do? Just continue practicing more is all. Practice doesn't make perfect, and for Juliette it was more like practice makes improvement and continuous learning, especially with others that pursue the same goals in dreams, even if it was taking a lot longer to debut and the feeling of hope fading started to grow more and more.
