Maerin's mother is a Chinese-Japanese who spent her childhood in China, teenage years in Japan and then furthered her studies and settled down in Korea. Her father on the other hand is a pure Korean who lived in Jeju his entire life. Maerin was born on the 7th of October 1998 in Yeondong, Jeju. Their family wasn't extremely well-off but they had more than enough to get by with her father working as a private investigator and her mother owning a small seaside cafe. She has two older twin brothers who unlike most siblings, dote on Maerin although they do occasionally breakout in small bickers. They take care of her and always worry because she always did rather dangerous.
Because they lived by the sea, Maerin grew up going out to sea to swim and or playing on the beach. She loved finding cliffs or high rocks by the sea to check the area if its safe to jump. Whenever she found a new spot, she always took her brothers to jump. They always worried for her when she did this because the rock and cliffs just kept getting higher. Aside from jumping off high places, Maerin also went deep sea diving to pick abalones and other seafoods with the lady divers. Whatever she'd pick would be sold and with the money she earned she would always save to get things for a parents or siblings.
Maerin's life was never an overly dramatic story but there was a tough time when her family finances wasn't going too smoothly. Her brothers were residing in Seoul as they were both in university at the time while Maerin just entered middle school. A client of her dad's was trying to sue him because he was working as their private investigator. The large conglomorate group he was working for had insisted that during the time her father had allianced with their rivals and was delivering false information.
It was the first job her father had after being promoted from investigator so their finance that was just enough to get by was being spent to pay lawyer fees and other things of the such. On top of that, he couldn't be given any investigation tasks because his name was not cleared. After a good period of 7 months the lawsuit his innocence was proven and his name was cleared with compensation from the company.
During the time Maerin's brothers worked part-time jobs and Maerin had worked part-time as a children's swimming coach. She even dived twice as hard to collect seafood and going as far as looking for oysters and pearls though they were very rare finds. She had it rough for that time but she had a feeling of satisfaction in her heart that she was able to help. Several years and a many successful casess later, Maerin's father was given a job opportunity in Seoul which had them moving to Seoul when Maerin was at the age of 16.
When the Ha family moved to Seoul, her father became a highly commneded and recognized Private Investigator while her mother had re-opened a cafe. Her brother's also found jobs as prosecutor and lawyer in the same firm as their father. First Meeting ♦
When Maerin first moved to Seoul she had a free period in time during winter break as she was schools to apply to. She was working in her mother's new cafe for their grand opening. As the cafe was near Johak Academy, most of the first customers were student from the academy. Taemin was one of them. He came to the shop late in the evening when the cafe was about to close but since it was the grand opening they allowed him to be their last customer for the day. He was of course grateful. By his considerate nature, after having a slice of cake and coffee, he stayed back to help close the cafe. He insisted even when Maerin and her mother said they could handle it. They eventually gave in and allowed him to help. Throughout cleaning and arranging the chairs, Maerin and Taemin shared some small talk and got to know each other. When there wasn't much left to do Maerin told her mom she could go home and get her well deserved rest. Her mom thankfully did so. When it came time to close the shutters Maerin hooked the end of the rod into the shutter but before she could pull it, Taemin's hand moved over hers, "Let me," he said with a kind smile. Maerin was a little thrown off at the contact and just let go of the rod in surprise. She uttered a thank you and bit back her growing smile. Maerin thanked Taemin for all his help and shyly asked him to visit the cafe again soon. He came the very next day, and the day after and they finally exchanged numbers. From there onwards they slowly progressed with Maerin enrolling in Johak Academy.
Present ♦ They have been dating for a year and of course they have little couple bickers but for the most part they have a peaceful and fluffy relationship. They are very fluffy and simple and enjoy just being together in any situation. The most often seen scene of them would be cuddling on the couch watching a movie. Another common scene would be them outdoors with their picnic blanket and some food. Maerin tried to keep it from her parents but her mom caught them holding hands as they were walking towards the cafe and she was outside cleaning the windows. Taemin on the other hand immediately came out about to his family. When they both first met each other's families it was as friends but when they relatioinship progressed, it was actually rather amusing for the rest of the Ha family to see the twins fuss over Maerin being too young and they even tried to nitpick at Taemin.
Ending ♦ They end up getting engaged/married (For the story, they're probably too young to get married. But if it does go as far as years into the future an engagement would be nice. Just anything that fits the story really but just don't have them break up please? Hahah~)

Caring ; Taemin is known to be caring towards everyone. Sometimes a bit too caring for Maerin's liking because girls normally take it the wrong way and begin lingering around Taemin
Honest ; The one thing that Taemin would never stand for is dishonesty. He will be the first one to step up and admit to any wrong doing he was guilty of. He is blacklisted by school rebel because he'd always tell on them.
Picky ; Taemin is picky with the things he eats because he is conscious of his diet. He wants to keep in good shape because he's prone to getting colds. With his good diet and workout though, he managed to get his health in tip top shape.
Impulsive ; Although he is patient he can't stand seeing a loved one being hurt or people getting into fights. Although he may get hurt in the process he always steps in to break up a fight. "What do you feel of the crew in general?"
Well, in general most of the teammates tick me off. But that's just me. -shrugs- However, Jookyung sunbae is nice. He's also the one that scouted me. Nano sunbae is nice too. I don't know much about Sharp sunbae, but he is very skilled. -nods-
"Who is the most likeable teammate?"
Jookyung sunbae for sure. We don't talk much but when we do he is veru easy-going and nice.
"Who is the least likeable teammate?"
Rather than least likeable, someone that just isn't my kind of person would be Vague sunbae. She's too uptight, prim and proper. -raises brows- I don't know how she stands being so uptight. But really, all the Ens aren't really my kind of people. -
"You had any specific goals?"
I want to know more about what it is that is so special about having this mark. -points behind ear- I never even knew about its existence until Jookyung sunbae had scouted me one fine day. And I also want to know what's the deal with Ens.
