all i know is how to love you.

appearance — soojin was born with a pair of hazel brown eyes that she got from her grandfather. also, she has natural black straight hair but she dyed it dark brown and permed it when she graduated high school. she has a heart shape birthmark on the back of her right shoulder that she was often called 'two-hearted girl.' today, she is 168 cm in height and 50kg in weight.

style — since she grew up in the city, soojin prefers to wear trendy clothes. usually, you would see her in her washed jeans, long sleeve sweaters and a beanie during winter, oversized t-shirt and dark denim jeans during spring, white shirt and flowy skirts during fall and printed t-shirt and denim shorts during summer. she's the type who likes wearing printed stuff (e.g phrase printed t-shirts, flower printed skirts, etc.). however, she only wears one kind of shoes, and that is converse. might be high cut or low cut, doesn't really matter. converse is her favorite.

occupation — she's currently a sophomore student (architecture major) in seoul national university  and a part-time weekend tutor (usually teaches english and basic math to kindergartens during weekends).

dreams — originally, soojin wanted to become a photographer. she was in 8th grade when her dad brought her to one of his friends' gallery and there she first saw a photo exhibit. she was very amused by it, thus, encouraged her to become like one as well. her parents even bought her a camera to show their support for her. but later on during high school, soojin realized her priorities and she became practical. her parents induced her into joining academic organizations instead of the school clubs. ever since then, soojin's dream redirected to architecture course where her family is known at. however, there are times that she misses doing photography. sometimes, she would get her phone and capture dramatic photos of plants and people just to satisfy her yearning. photography, in the end, only became her past time.

personality traits
(+) — adaptable, adventurous, calm
(/) — quiet, easy-going, polite, slow-poke
(-)
— ambiguous, cowardly, indecisive

expansion
(+) — wherever I go, I'm okay. it's always easy for soojin to adjust to new places and new things. it would only take her a while before she could totally adapt to everything and that's fine. it's one less problem of her friend junghan every time she migrates to places. he does not worry every time she must move schools because he knows that she can adapt well. also, soojin has a hidden trait of being adventurous, contrary to her being calm and quiet, she likes trying new things on her own, going to places by herself, and discovering things alone. doing these with friends is enjoyable too, but soojin really likes to contemplate by herself.
(/) — let me know all of you. being the youngest child and the only daughter in the entire family, soojin become the center of attraction in her clan. because of this, she was compelled to be polite since everyone around her is older. this also helped her become easy-going and fun to talk to. soojin's not just verbose but she can laugh too. her humor's just limited that's why she doesn't get the jokes sometimes (or most of the time). she's very slow when it comes to things.
(-) — I really don't know what to say
. growing up in a family that doesn't talk much, soojin practiced being a quiet one. yes, she is easy-going, but only when you get close to her. soojin isn't really the type to initiate a conversation first. it's either you approach her or not at all. people has often mistaken her as an introvert and cold but she talks to people too, however, she could be very vague. she won't tell you exactly what she really feels inside her, hence, would only throw you some unclear signs to what she really wants from you. this is why her brother nicknamed her 'riddles'. maybe because she's cowardly too, that's why. she's always afraid that people might misunderstand her thoughts and so she'd rather keep it to herself. another thing about soojin is having trouble when it comes to decision-making. she can't decide on her own and still requires help from her parents and friends every time she needs to choose from options.

background
1995 — han soohyun and chae jinhee had soojin 2 years after their first child, hyunghee was born. they felt really blessed for having a son and a daughter exactly like the way they planned it to be. that time, mr and mrs han were both working in a construction firm as an engineer and an architect respectively. they were a family just like any other out there. they enjoyed living a simple life. soojin and her brother studied diligently without any problems and stayed obedient to their parents will until they can do it by themselves.
1996 — a year after her birth, junghan's family moved in next door. the family easily became good friends after knowing that junghan's parents are very kind and can be easily approached. apparently, soojin and junghan were introduced together even before they can understand and speak to other people. ever since then, the two always go to each other's house to play. they attended the same schools as her older brother and always stuck with one another.
2010 — it was before soojin's middle school graduation when the company her parents have been working at declared bankcruptcy. because of this, mr han was forced to look for another job around seoul. fortunately, he found an opening in a firm on the outskirts of seoul in a condition that they would move to hansujang, a small town just beside the district where his work was. hyunghee was so against it. he said he had already established himself a lot of friends in their old town and so he did not want to leave. soojin, being the indecisive and cowardly one, stayed quiet about the argument. she just talked to her friends (or more like junghan only) about it and pushed herself to not feel very sad. midst 2010 was the time for them to move. hyunghee didn't have a choice but to follow along, and junghan and soojin were just the same. they cried while bidding goodbye to each other. thus, they promised to continuous communication. they met each other during weekends or whenever they're free.
2011-present — soojin's brother became a slight rebel because of their migration. fortunately, he still listened to soojin despite his sulky feeling towards his parents. both still attended school but unlike before, they were less diligent and they kinda lost interest. however soojin, being the youngest, carried the responsibility of continuing the architecture path in place of her brother who ended up working as an accounting clerk in a small company. now, they live in a decent condominium unit in hansujang; her father is working in an engineering firm with her mother transforming into a housewife. their family is also returning slowly to its normal after soojin's continuous request to her brother to start anew and forget about everything. thankfully, junghan and soojin both got into seoul national university in the architecture department. now, even just in school, they see each other. they still hang out during weekends and chat every night.

family
han soohyun | 48 | father, engineer | maybe because she's the youngest (moreover a daughter) that why she's very close with her dad. among the people around her, only her dad can order her around and make her talk beyond her ability to communicate. he's very strict when it comes to her friends as well, and it was him who decides for her the most.
chae jinhee | 45 | mother, architect | their relationship is pretty standard. just like any mother-daughters out there, soojin and her are comfortable with each other. they talk a lot about things and she's the one who keeps her secrets (especially about her crushes and ideal types)
han hyunghee
 | 22 | older brother | her relationship with her brother is extra ordinary. they're so close that some people think they're twins. he tells her all of his secrets even if she refuses to give him her own.

friends

yoon junghan | 20 | best friend since childhood, architecture student | being there since birth, junghan is more than just a neighbor for soojin. he's like the realest brother to her compared to hyunghee. maybe because they're of the same age that's why same thoughts run in their same minds. they understand each other and just like ordinary best friends. they share the same dreams and they can lean into each other's back whenever.

you're my one and only sun.

love interest — choi seungcheol (seventeen)

backup(s)  — kim taehyung (bts)

birthday & age  — 08/08/1995 & 20

occupation — currently a sophomore student (engineering major) in seoul national university, and a part-time club bartender (he started working as soon as he entered college for extra income)

personality — choi seungcheol is the total opposite of soojin. to put it simply, seungcheol is more friendly, more easy-going, and a better speaker than her. and since he came from an ordinary family, seungcheol learned to survive and be contented with what he has. he is an intelligent, hard-working, diligent young man. however, there could be times when he feels like pushing everything aside for leisure. just like any person out there, he is a procrastinator. once he feels very lazy, he will definitely not do it and that makes him a firm decision-maker. once he said it, he would really do it.

relationship — they used to be just strangers before. but something happened and ever since then, soojin and him become closer. now, they're more comfortable with each other's accompaniment that sometimes they exchange flirty compliments and sweet gestures even without knowing it.

tattoo & location

soojin has a "wait, don't go" tattoo on the side of her neck just below her right ear.
— while seungcheol has a "let me go" tattoo also on the side of his neck just below his right ear (exactly on the same spot as soojin, only with different phrases).

Situation — even before the happenings in hansujang and the towns around it, soojin already believed in red string of fate. she knows that there is someone destined to be with you and all you have to do is either wait for him to come to you, or meet him halfway. and at first, soojin thought that junghan was her fated. he came to her even before she knew it and they shared a different kind of closeness. she had to admit that she had a crush on her own best friend.

the tattoo on her neck changed her thoughts when it first appeared that one night while she's studying for an exam. she might not remember the first words junghan had told her but by just using her logic, she's absolutely sure that it's not what her tattoo shows. she was quite disappointed about it, and scared. suddenly, she was afraid to even know who was the one for her. what if he's a thug? or some bad guy? she was so negative about it that she almost gave up.

however, everything changed when she met choi seungcheol.

it was during her friend's 18th birthday, 2 years ago when soojin first encountered alcohol. she was not really an alcoholic but she got drunk after drinking a glass of clear vodka thinking it's just a water. during that time, junghan was with her but being the drinker between them two, he got drunk together with their other friends. after the party, these friends of her left with junghan but not with her. knowing soojin as a 'not-so-party-goer,' they thought she already went home ahead of them. because of this, she was left alone sleeping in the bar. at first, seungcheol did not want to wake her up, until his manager had told him to. with his boss' order, seungcheol approached the lady and to his surprise, saw her face that was like his dead first love's.

he stayed frozen in his place, staring at her for a few minutes until his manager yelled at him to wake her up already. still in shock, seungcheol forgot his boss' order and kept standing there. in the end, it was his friend and co-worker, jisoo, that shook the lady up. "hey, miss, wake up!" he said to pull seungcheol away from the almost pissed manager. "hmm?" being half-sober already, soojin was awakened and looked around only to see an almost empty room. "the party's over, ma'am. if you're sober you should go home, if not, we can ask for somebody to take you home." said the one with the name jisoo.

instead of answering the guy, she just shook her head, stood up from her seat and waved a thank you to both jisoo and seungcheol, who was behind him. suddenly, seungcheol couldn't take it no more and called out to her, "wait," she turned around lazily when he held her by her elbow, and blinked at him, "don't go." at first she was confused as to why he stopped her. it also felt uncomfortable being touched by a stranger and so she did what she had to do. "let me go." she wiggled her arm off of his hand but seungcheol held tighter onto it.

"let me take you home." he suggested to jisoo when the latter looked at them in shock as well. soojin politely refused to his offer and even told him that she's okay and that she can manage but seungcheol insisted (or more like forced her) until the end. when their manager in in the endless argument, soojin finally agreed and let him assist her but only until the bus station.

seungcheol was behind soojin  as she walked slowly like a zombie. he was on assist mode, watching out for her. she stumbled a few times but seungcheol was there to catch her, she kept saying, "I'm okay" and "I'm fine," but seungcheol knew that she's still drunk. they did not say any more than those until they reached the bus stop. soojin thanked seungcheol for his kindness and for taking her to the bus stop. but instead of saying goodbye, seungcheol told her that he would be taking the same bus. a little lie that won't hurt him.

in the bus, seungcheol initiated a small conversations like her name, how old was she and how did she end up getting drunk. at first, soojin hesitated to tell him details about her, until he told her about his and that eventually let her guard down.

soojin scolded (imagine her in a calm way) junghan as soon as they met the next day in school. she asked why he left without her and how he did not even think of her as he drinks. junghan apologized the whole day just to get back to her good side but soojin stood firm into her sulking act. until later on that day, she passed by seungcheol in a building corridor in the campus. she wanted to turn around and to run away from embarrassment but it was too late, seungcheol had already noticed her. "hi!" he screamed at her with a huge smile and a wave.

ever since knowing that they're in the same school, moreover under the same college, seungcheol and soojin (or more like seungcheol only) talked a lot about stuffs; about school and sometimes about personal issues. he would suggest to meet up during break time or wait for her to the place where he always sees her; the bus stop. seungcheol also did everything to get soojin's number even if it means pursuading her bestfriend junghan.

soojin considered her relationship with seungcheol as a deep kind of friendship. she did not think about the possibility of seungcheol being her fated until later on, junghan and her talked about what their tattoos tell. in her surprise, junghan told her about his own fated, and while he's reciting what happened, soojin suddenly remembered about her own tattoo. "wait, don't go." it sounded so familiar in her ears that only one person appeared in her mind she knew she heard saying. choi seungcheol. junghan cheered her with seungcheol. he told her that the latter is a nice guy and if there's somebody he wanted soojin to end up with, it's him. once again, she tried to recall her first meeting with seungcheol. eureka! she might have just found her fated; the person on the other side of her red string of fate.

seungcheol knew that he was attracted to soojin the first time because she looks like his first love. but eventually, seungcheol confirmed to himself that he likes soojin because she's not what he thought she was. she's different and that's she's somebody better than his past.

it's okay to fall.

comments/suggestions
first — hey yo, bro! hello hello! first of all, I'd like to thank you for the opportunity of letting me apply (did I sound too beauty pageant-y? hahaha jk) but hey, I hope my application's not that messy. I tried my very best to keep it neat and clean with less grammatical errors and more details. I apologize in advance if there are any. I also hope you enjoyed reading my application <3  it's up to you to add more stuff in my character (just in case you'd choose my soojin) I don't really mind since you're the author. anyways, thank you again. ciao ^^
updated — okay, first of all, thank you so much for your very kind review. omg- you're just great! okay so curse my forgetful mind for forgetting about junghan and for forgetting to change that part of seungcheol and soojin's story. /facepalms. I already put junghan in the background just like your request and re-phrased seungcheol's part <3

scene request(s)
— soojin and seungcheol getting drunk and letting each other touch the spot where their respective tattoos were even if it's not visible in their eyes.
— soojin asking seungcheol about what was written on his tattoo and confirming everything she and junghan had theorized about.
— seungcheol knowing from junghan what was written on soojin's tattoo. he ran towards where she was and probably would confess there.
— since soojin and jinae both study in the same school, how about they meet as classmates in a minor subject like biology or something?
— soojin and seungcheol talking about his past first love that he failed to confess too and soojin knowing about her looking like his past crush.
