• APPEARANCE: Clara's hair is still it's natural black color, long and straight. She has similar eyes and smile to her brother, making it visually easy to see their relation. She stands at 157 cm (and growing, she insists) and 48 kg, her body is small and frail, making her look even younger compared to the rest of the members. She has a small beauty mark right above her upper lip on the right side.
  STYLE: Her style is cute and easy, overalls, jumpers, sweaters, and usually a pair of sneakers. She's not one to be super girly or super boyish, rather she prefers to be able to roll out of bed and go but still be able to look cute. Clara is a gentle, old soul in a young person's body. She very much resembles her brother in these aspects so it's easy to see why they're related. She is very gentle, nothing about her is hard or rough, always taking time for others and putting them before herself. Clara is also the type to keep to herself, not being spoken unless spoken to. People think it's because of a strict upbringing, but really, Clara just doesn't talk much. She prefers to observe and take in rather than contribute to conversation. This girl has the patience of a saint, and will never lose her temper. Trust me, people have tried and she's never once gotten short or angry at anyone. She just tries to see the good in everyone, and doesn't see why you should spend your time being aggressive when you can be much more productive being gentle and kind. Speaking of which, there's not a mean or dishonest bone in her body. She is exceedingly kind, making time for whoever needs it and is willing to put everything down and listen if you need it. She also can't lie. It's like it's not programmed in her, she will always tell you the truth no matter what, but you know... she'll try and soften the blow as much as she can. Clara has this intutition that makes her aware and alert in most situations. She can almost tell if something's going to happen, anticipate it and fix it as quickly as possible. It's pretty much impossible to surprise her.

At Clara's young age, she's very self-concious of how she looks and how she presents herself. Is her skin clear, does her hair look okay, did I gain weight, oh god I hope no one noticed that improper foot placement in rehearsal -- It's a neverending cycle in her head. She's a perfectionist on top of this, which makes it hard for that racetrack to slow down or even stop and let her breathe every so often.  Her brother is known as the Angel Boy and she wants to live up to that expectation people have for her. But she's still so young and shouldn't obsessively worry over these types of things. While it's true that Clara doesn't talk much, she also is just painfully shy when it comes to new people. Like, she just can't talk or look someone new in the eye. Expect little to no eye contact until about the fifth time you meet her. She's just so uncomfortable around a lot of people, it gets overwhelming and she sort of shuts down. This causes her a lot of anxiety in a lot of social situations, especially fan meets. She doesn't want to disappoint any of the fans, but she just gets so worked up and overwhelmed... It's pretty hard the first year of debut. It's not that she doesn't want to be friendly and make new friends and people -- she just literally can not function until she sees them a couple of times. It's sort of like her mind doesn't register the person's real until she's seen them a couple of times. It gets her really frusterated a lot of the time. She's not the best at fan service, and she's new to the group, so she can recieve a lot odf criticism and that really gets to her. Netizens have left comments on how she shouldn't have been allowed ot debut because she's just so awkward on stage and with interaction at fan meets. At her age, it's easy to be influenced by comments like this and it really can effect your self esteem. She doesn't think very highly of herself because of this, and then on top of that she takes everything to heart which brings her down even more -- but she'll never get mad. It's a wonder that she hasn't imploded yet. Because she's not aggressive, she's so passive she could lay down and be a doormat to a soccer team after a match on a mud field and she wouldn't even flinch. It almost infuriates some of her members, because she'll just take it and take it and take it and never complain or fight back.

BACKGROUND: Born into the Yoon family as the youngest, Jinsol was definitely babied and sheltered throughout much of her lifetime. Her older brother, Jeonghan, was especially protective of her, not wanting people to pick on her. However, being four years her senior made it difficult for him to look out for her, although he made efforts to walk her to and from school to ensure no one picked on her then. Despite her families constant worrying, however, Jinsol was just a quiet, wall flower type of girl. She didn't really need to stand out, nor did she want to so it all worked in her favour. She was nine when she discovered music through not choir, but orchestra as a viola player. She loved playing and learning her instrument, as Jeonghan loved singing. They often helped each other with sheet music and practice. While shopping in the mall one day, a Pledis scout street casted both of them, finding their "angel-like" looks perfect for the entertainment company. Jeonghan, on one hand, was beyond honored and happy to try. Jinsol, however, was extremely hesitant. She was a violaist, not cut out for this idol lifestyle she often heard horror stories about. She didn't want her big brother to abandon her like that either. So she asked him not to go, but this was his dream, she knew. Often he had talked about debuting and being an idol, singing and performing on stage. So, she had to let him go and she focused on her studies, watching and rewatching videos of the 17 Show that had her brother in them. As she watched how well the boys grew and worked together, and how happy her brother was to be apart of a team, to work for something he's always wanted.... It made her want the same thing, too. She wanted to work so closely with a group of people who all wanted the same thing as she did. 

She made a decision that day to start working towards this dream that seemed to make her brother so happy. She picked up choir, not bearing to leave her orchestra and her viola, and balancing both was hard, especially with the extra hours or rehearsal and practice she had to put in on top of being a student. However, she was determined and wasn't going to give up so easily, and she pushed through, finding that while her voice wasn't strong, it was unique and people seemed to like it a lot. In 2011, she finally went to audition for Pledis... Only to get turned down. Heartbroken that her dream had been shattered, unlike her brothers, she went to buy some ho-tteok to cheer her up, when a talent scout came up to her from SM, offering her a spot as a scouted trainee. Surprised and taken aback, she accepted, figuring she might as well. There she began her training.

TRAINEE LIFE: 2 years with SM, transferred to Woolim in 2013-2015 / 4 years total.

With Jinsol's naturally quiet personality, she didn't get far in SM, but she made a couple friends, one being someone by the stage name of Yeri, who was bright and eager and liked being around Jinsol. When it came to dance practice, the only thing Jinsol could manage was to look elegant, and since her hair was always half up in a ribbon, and she only wore ballet shoes, she earned the name "Clara" like the lead girl of the Nutcracker, and it soon became her perferred name for debut. Jinsol seemed to do fairly well in singing, thanks to living with her brother, she'd like to think. One thing that people definitely didn't expect to be good, though, was her seeming natural skills at rapping. While she couldn't spit out long rhymes and verses like some of the other rap oriented trainees, she could definitely hold her ground and found herself enjoying that a lot. Throughout this process, she never gave up her viola, always keeping in practice and using the instrument to relax after a stressful day of training. 

In  2013, SM had a merger with Woolim Entertainment, and she found herself being transferred over to their program of trainees, away from Yeri and the SM Rookie crew. She was devestated, absolutely lost in a new training space and having to find new people to talk to... Wasn't exactly her forte. So for a year into her training, she was by herself, putting her all into her training and practices and of course, her studies when she could. In late 2014, the lineup for Woolim's new girl group was being finalized, and she was in the last group of trainees to audition and see if they'd find someone they alsbolutely wanted to stick in, if not, then this new group would debut as is. She went in, determined. It was a shot, and there might not be one after this. She was tired, training was hard, the instructors were mean, and above all, she didn't even remember why she started this dream in the first place. Before, the current lineup of the girl group filed in and were given an vote. If you got more than half of the group's approval, then you were in. Trainee after trainee went in, coming out with a confused face, saying that the audition process wasn't what they expected and it wasn't fair, in their opinion.
So when it was Clara went in, she wasn't sure what to expect. When a girl from the original lineup stood up, "Rapunzel", and said just to harmonize and sit with her at the piano, Clara was honestly very confused. But as she harmonized with the voice, she realized that this... wasn't impressing them. It was what every girl had did before her, and would do after her if she didn't do something creative and new. So she stood up, bowing politely.
"....If you don't, uhm, mind..." She gulped, looking at the managers and the lineup nervously, "I have... soemthing I'd like to do besides just h-harmonizing." And out came the viola, the smooth handle and bow instantly steadying her shaking head and shot nerves. "Could you.. play it again?" She asked "Rapunzel", who nodded and began playing and singing, along with Clara's viola filling the room. When "Rapunzel" stopped singing in order for Clara to show her vocal talents, she once again decided to do something different: She rapped the lyrics that had been printed out on the sheet in front of her. It wasn't clean by any means, but it was steady and confident and exactly what the girls were waiting for. It didn't take but a few minutes after the audition for Clara to be officially added to the linup for 4xU.

FAMILY:
Yoon Jungwoo / Father / 48 / Translator / Intelligent, Considerate, Proud / alive / Jungwoo is always with his wife travelling, it's how they met and they love what they do. They also love their kids, even though they don't spend that much time with them because of their jobs. They definitely were able to provide for the two children, only wanting them to follow their dreams and be happy. While Jungwoo was expecting one of them to follow into the business world, as long as their happy and taking care of themselves and each other he doesn't mind. 
Yoon Nara / Mother / 45 / Businesswoman / Persuasive, Cunning, Youthful / alive / Ruthless in business, Reckless at home is an accurate way to describe Clara's mother. Nara is smart and good with words, making her good at what she does, but she's still got the heart of a kid, which makes her think about her kids a lot. She wishes she were there more, but unfortunately, she and her husband are required to travel for work, making it mostly the two on their own with a nanny growing up. However, when they are home, she and her husband make it count and ensure that her parens know that they love their children dearly and will support them no matter what. She's actually lowkey highkey hoping that when her two kids debut, she'll be able to use that at the office. "My kids are international stars, and what do your kids do, Ga-in? Hmm???"
Yoon Jeonghan / Big Brother / 20 / Idol - SEVENTEEN / Gentle, Kind, Vain / alive / While Jeonghan is good and kind and matches his "Angel" nickname, he knows he's pretty and like sto use it to his advantage at times. The other thing he knows is just how much he loves his sister and wants to ensure that she's safe. He frequently checks in on her, how her training's doing, how the group as a whole is doing, etc. etc. He's her rock and is willing to do just about anything for her. It's cute when SEVENTEEN and 4xU promotions overlap -- you can see Jeonghan immediately going and hugging his sister, and Clara sometimes is seen with his group rather than her own... 4xU usually tries to stand next to SEVENTEEN whenever possible, just to make everything easier.
 

FRIENDS: 
YERI / Best Friends / 16 / Idol - Red Velvet / Energetic, Mischevious, Eager / alive / As Clara's first real friend in the idol world, and the one who helped coin her stage name, Yeri holds a very special place in Clara's heart. She was nothing but sweet and kind, and when she was officially added to the Red Velvet lineup, Jinsol supported her and her group as much as she could. Yeri says she will do the same when Clara debuts, and frequently talks about training with her when asked about trainee days. It's obvious that they're very close and would like to remain that way for a long, long time.
"Rapunzel" / Sister I Never Had / ? / Idol - 4xU / ? / alive / "Rapunzel" was the first one to really welcome the newcomers, excited to be apart of the new group and try once more to be on stage. Clara immediately siddled up to her, becoming more and more comfortable and "Rapunzel" becoming more and more like a sister rather than just a bandmate. The older girl is the first person that Clara goes to and one of the few that she'll initate skinship with -- she enjoys being babied and coddled by this girl. She reminds her of her brother.
Ahn Iseul / String Buddies / 16 / student / Whimsical, Caring, Empathetic / alive / Iseul played the cello, and was one of the only girls in her section. She approached Clara for still unknown reasons, but Clara's glad she did. She made school a bit easier, after all, Clara wasn't one to talk to others first... But Iseul didn't really care, she enjoyed the quiet girl's company and they practiced together often. When Clara took choir and the practices overlapped (they rarely did, but sometimes scheduling happens) Iseul would make notes on the sheetmusic for the violas in order for Clara to be caught up when they would meet up before the next rehearsal. Iseul plans on supporting Clara when she debuts, and says she will be there at the first debut stage.
 

OTHERS: 
S.Coups / Brother's Best Friend / 20 / Idol - SEVENTEEN / Goofy, Alleocentric, Confident / alive / He was the first member of SEVENTEEN that Jeonghan introduced to Clara. "Everyone else is closer to your age -- I need to protect you from being hit on!" Jeonghan had said, and Clara only laughed a little and got to know S.Coups. He was a funny guy, eager to get to know Clara and get closer to Jeonghan. Genuine, Clara remembers thinking. She met the rest of SEVENTEEN at the last episode of The 17 Project, when the group got their rings back via their families.

- She hopes that 4xU will do a ballad type song so she can play her viola in the song and other members can showcase their instrument and abilities.

- CLARA knows Red Velvet's dances. All of them. She'll make up her own if the song doesn't have an official choreography. She and Yeri can be seen dancing together if both grups are present at anything.
- She's a natural soprano, finding her voice higher than most, which matches her young face, much to her chargin. 
- She doesn't understand them, but she loves American movies. She thinks the actor's facial expressions are really funny.
- Clara still, to this day, has never seen the Nutcracker live or all the way through.

PERSONALITY:  Minghao is the definition of a cinnamon roll and is a sweetheart through and through. He always wants to be the best he can be, and he so works hard to achieve the most he can. He's never one to back down when the going gets tough, after all, he came all the way from China to train, he's not going to give up just because of a few harsh comments. With his friends, he's so playful and witty. He likes word play and goes along with jokes easily, picking up on them and continuinng to make it all the more hilarious. Even though his Korean isn't the best, he's able to communicate really well, and he's so smart. He was able to pick up this incredibly different language from his own to be able to sing and perform and be able to interact with fans and at interviews. Although on stage he may seem a bit more charismatic, it's well known that off stage he's pretty quiet, and while he loves his friends, he just... doesn't talk a lot, or at least doesn't babble endlessly like other members (coughSeungkwancough) which isn't necesarily a bad thing, but he just knows that he's not going to be heard of 12 other voices so he just quietly waits his turn or until someone asks him. He's also... painfully oblivious to others sometimes. While he's able to pick up on jokes, he's pretty terrible at picking up things about like... feelings. Which is super infuriating to some people. He's also exceedingly shy, but he's able to approach you... He just might not be able to speak very clearly or directly to you, he'll probably have his eyes glued to the floor or mumble a lot in Chinese to try and make sure he's translating his words properly. 
 

RELATIONSHIP: Clara first met the boys at the last episode for the 17 Project, where Junghan was given his ring back by her and her parents. At the time, her debut was also being finalized, and Junghan immediately toted her around, introducing her to the other members, of course not without the emphasis on "She's my LITTLE SISTER" to most of the younger boys in her age range. She just giggled and waved him off, seeing the group of older boys as her older brothers, not as potential love interests. Minghao, however, thought she was really, really pretty, and skirted around her, afraid to defy his hyung's orders by not being interested in her.

However, by becoming fast friends with Seungkwan (aka he just... wouldn't leave her alone and she agreed to be friends with him), he forced the two to interact, causing the two naturally shy people to quietly introduce themselves to each other and surprisingly, they found themselves getting along with each other really, really well. (Seungkwan will, to this day, insist that he was the mastermind behind this entire thing.) While they didn't talk much, Minghao was very interested in getting to know her better, but with his lack in fluent Korean, it made it difficult to contineu on lengthy conversations without him slipping back into Chinese. While some would've thought that this would've put a hault to their progressing relationship, Clara simply said, "Teach me Chinese, I want to be able to talk to you." 
He's kinda been over the moon for her ever since.

Clara, however, obeys her brother always... Even if Minghao is just... really, really cute and sweet and jsut super nice to her--- *coughs* Ahem. Anyways, she likes him well enough -- while she thinks she's a little young to be looking for a boyfriend, she does really like it when Minghao smiles at her, and she's afraid that someone else will pick him up before she's ready for a relationship. (What she doesn't know, however, is that Minghao is MORE than willing to wait for her ahurhurhurhur). In Mansae, they needed a girl, right? So Junghan was like, okay, I'll call my sister -- but nO ONE FLIRTS WITH HER. Minghao, being the quiet one, was agreeable to this, and his hushed conversations and the Chinese workbooks made a good cover inbetween long breaks for him to be over with Clara. So no one really caught on... except Seungkwan. 

Seungkwan thought there was something interesting going on between the two quiet teenagers, especially since Minghao was insistent on teaching Clara Chinese, despite there being Jun to help as well. Minghao hasn't ever really pushed anything, so when he was busy and Jun tried to help Clara, Seungkwan noticed that the other Chinese member was very, very stiff and... almost angry? Certainly surprising, and funnily enough matched the feeling of "Mansae" really well. However, seeing that Clara eagerly came over to him after he was free and attempting to perfect her pronounication, he got over the ordeal very quickly.

Basically, they're actual children around each other and it's adorable.

TRIVIA: 
-Minghao has Clara in his phone as "宝贝" (baobei), embarrassingly enough. Luckily, he can avoid the dating terms for a while since Clara's most focused on just being able to communicate to him and hold a conversation.
-Clara never uses his stage name... Well, she never uses anyone's stage name, she prefers the closeness that one's real name gives... But even on talk shows, she'll always use "Minghao".
-While Clara is not overly fond of skinship and clingy, she has held Minghao's hand on the sly a couple of times -- much to Minghao's embarrassment. He doesn't really mind, though.
-Seungkwan is always thinking of ways to pair the two up for anything and everything -- he's not only on this ship, he's the captain of the navy.
-Fans of Clara's think that her relationship with Minghao is adorable, but most don't ship it since they're both still pretty young.
