Lily is a relaxed and warm person, having a "live and let live" outlook on the world. Her charming attitude makes her popular with those who actually try to know the person past the face. She's usually quite polite to everyone, respecting those until you prove you don't deserve it. She likes to give people the benefit of the doubt. Emotions are nothing new for Lily, she's had her years of emotional overload and still has her moments -- but working through them with her father and brother gave her some empathetic insight. She easily relates to others emotions and able to stablize and reason them through it -- without being too overbearing or forcing them to say anything at all. She's naturally maternal with this ability and people feel like they're talking to their mom when upset when she's around. While Theo is definitely the most traditionally artistic person of the family, Lily has her own kind of creative spirit. By using her awareness and insight of emotions, she uses this creativity and imagination to craft bold ideas and works that speak to people, as well as being a helpful and healthy outlet to her own emotions. Beneath her quiet first impression, Lily has an intensely feeling heart and soul that resonates with almost everyone she comes in contact with. Her passion towards the things or people she finds interesting is admirable, though she tends to abandon all else in favor to explore this new opportunity. She wants others to see or feel her passion for what she likes and wants others to be just as passionate, whether it's for what she likes or what they like. Lily isn't the best or most organized student -- she doesn't mind sitting in class, but she needs to explore and see for herself. She's naturally curious and while she'll ask a million questions, she prefers to explore and find out everything on her own. 

Independence is a double edged sword -- unfortunately for Lily, it happens to be more of a disadvantage than an advantage. Freedom is something that Lily highly values, she's always had it and doesn't want to even think about what it's like to have it taken away. Traditions, hard rules, or authority figures create a feeling of oppression for Lily and she can't stand it. Teachers often have a hard time getting through to her, and it doesn't help that she also refuses to ask for help. If she can fix it on her own, she's going to. No need to bring anyone else that might get in the way. Lily is known for being a bit unpredictable in her actions -- she's quite an anomoly, being shy but stubborn against teachers, or friendly and yet still a loner. While it can be interesting, it can be difficult to get along with her if you aren't expecting the unexpected. Lily lives for today, that much is certain. But today can have a lot of emotions and as a teenager, it's even worse. She sometimes gets this unexplained anxiety about what she's doing -- especially when someone asks her about anything in the future that's not within the school year. She gets stressed a lot towards the times of the year where she's asked about her plans after high school, or about what her brother is doing with his life. Lily pushes this down, which can cause her unpredictability to skyrocket randomly... kinda like having mini life crisises three times a year. Important tip: don't challenge Lily. EVER. This blonde is overly competitive, making everything and anything into a competition whether you meant it to be that way or not. She's a sore loser and will whine a little when bested. Board Game Night was cancelled in her home because of this. Overall, despite her smile, Lily holds a lot of insecurity about herself. She often compares herself to Theo, or to her mother, even Jasper -- hell, even that one kid in the hallway she just passed by. Were they happy? They were probably doing better than she was. What even was she doing? Does she even fit in? Do people even like her? Is she even apperciated? It's those things that haunt her the most, especially at night when she can't sleep.
 

⟪ FATAL FLAW ⟫

COWARDICE: the lack of courage to face danger, opposition, difficulty, pain, change, etc. 

But how could this be her fatal flaw? She seems like a fairly nice and helpful child, with a good life, good family, etc.

Lily is scared of the big picture. What's going to happen tomorrow? What about in a few years? Can I really do anything of importance? She never thinks too far forward because she's scared of the unknown. And for her, anything that's not her life now is unknown. Being a Guardian is something she wishes never happened, because hell, she can't even think about the summer without feeling panic building up in , and now she has to think about /witchcraft/ on the daily???
 

⟪ BACKGROUND ⟫

Lily lives with her mom and her boyfriend of 12 years, with his kid who's a senior at her school. Lily has no clue who her birthfather is, despite having his last name legally. According to her mother, she was a travelling young person and met him on a impromptu trip to South Korea. While she's never met him, he does send child support money to help her mother. With her mother working as a pilot, it leaves little room to date -- but that's how she met her current boyfriend, who was a flight attendant assigned to her crew more than once. 

Once they became serious, Jasper and Theo moved in, when the elder boy was 7 and Lily was 4. Jasper was kind, thoughtful, albeit a bit absent minded and treated Lily like a princess. With Theo being similar to his father (just more energetic and loud), Lily was a spoiled rotten little girl. Her mom still flies around the world, sending postcards, gifts, and calling when she has time (wherever in the world she may be) so growing up, it was her and two boys.

She got away with almost anything, if she did really anything. Lily took after Jasper soon enough, preferring to be in the background and let Theo be in the spotlight, since it came naturally to him and it didn't for her. This didn't mean she was shy, simply quiet. Jasper influenced her in a lot of ways, showing her to be kind to others and to not expect things or thanks in return. She loved to read and help Jasper in the book store he worked at. Eventually, Jasper bought the place when she was 13, and she always finds time to help him out inbetween school and now her... extracircular activities she's in.

Lily didn't have much trouble or was bullied often -- she was the little sister of the most well-liked guy in school, and it was a multicultural place. She was just quiet and didn't stand out much, which usually didn't bother her since she was always given affection and attention at home. However, there was this guy -- her first crush ever, who told her that he didn't date dark haired girls. So Lily began hating her dark hair, and one day, she brought home a bunch of bleach and toner and sat in front of the mirror, attempting to 'fix' what was wrong with her.

It was stupid, she knew, being overworked about this guy and his hair preferences, but when he said that, her mind began racing. What if no one liked dark haired girls? What if she was unwanted? What if she was outcasted because of this? It wouldn't stop, so she decided to take matters into her own hands to stop the neverending questions.

Jasper and Theo came in, and when she was close to tears because dying hair by yourself was hard and it didn't look right and oh g o d she's ugly now -- they immediately dove in, taking the dye and toner and bickering comically to each other, distracting Lily from her tears. Soon enough, Lily's hair was a beautiful blonde and felt amazing still -- Lily felt amazing. 

"So why on earth did you do this by yourself?" Jasper asked casually, sitting on the bathroom counter and Lily admired her new hair. She paused, almost ashamed about her reasoning. "Well..."

"Is it that loser Harold?" She flushed at her brother's voice. He sounded serious, something she wasn't used to. But she nodded, wanting to be honest. Theo came into view, sitting on the counter alonside their father.

"He's not good enough for you, especially if he didn't see how gorgeous you were with dark hair. But you know, it'll definitely be funny to see his face when you have this lovely shade of blonde and turn him down." Theo noted, running a hand through the strands. Lily teared up, and Jasper's next words made her cry.

"Never settle or change yourself for some dumb man, woman, or anyone else you want to date. I didn't want your mother to change just because I'm a homebody, and I definitely don't want anyone making you feel like you aren't already perfect the way that you are."

Since then, Lily's kept the blonde -- she ended up really liking how it made her look, and while people have been interested, she's not settling for anyone less than who she thinks she deserves. Theo is the main person people who are interested in Lily are worried about -- despite his sunny and happy demeanor, he's very protective of his little sister.

 

⟪ HOME LIFE ⟫

Messy. Not like, in a bad way, just, the house is very lived in and Jasper firmly believes in 'organized chaos', which has rubbed off on his two kids. One thing they have plenty of: Books. Books of all languages, genres, and varieties are in stacks and filling bookshelves within the house, as well as various postcards and a world map with "where in the world is Lorelei Kim" pins in it to keep up with the always travelling mother. Lily has her own bedroom in their one story house, but shares a bathroom with her brother. They don't mind, in fact, they've learned a routine to help each other out in the morning as to not be rushed in the morning while getting ready for school.

→ Mother, Lorelei Kim ⋮ 47 ⋮ Commercial Airline Pilot ⋮ Adventurous, Restless, Caring ⋮ Lily really looks up to her mom, she's beautiful and confident and adventurous, something she hope to be when she gets older. Lorelei and Lily don't have a huge, intimiate, amazing mother-daughter relationship though. With her busy schedule, Lorelei isn't exactly ~there~ for everything that goes on. However, she does like to send gifts and trinkets from around the world where she is, which is always comforting for her daughter. it's Lorelei's way of saying she loves her and was thinking of her. 

→ Father figure, Jasper Heilig (fc: Jesse Spencer) ⋮ 42 ⋮ Retired Flight Attendant/Book Store Owner ⋮ Thoughtful, Optimistic, Homebody, Intelligent ⋮ Here is the man who basically raised Lily since she was four. A bookstore owner who's happy to stay home and to share his love of books with the town, Jasper was a very positive force in Lily's life. He was sure of himself, and told her it didn't matter where she preferred to be -- as long as she was comfortable and happy. Lily takes after him a lot, despite looking nothing like him. Jasper loves his little girl dearly, and treats her like a princess from the stories they love reading together. 

→ Brother figure, Theodore "Theo" Heilig (fc: Troye Sivan) ⋮ 18 ⋮ Senior Class President ⋮ Outgoing, Optimistic, Anxious, Pushy ⋮ Theo loves his little sister, and it shows. They're often seen together in school when not separated by class, and it's funny to see the usually quiet Lily interacting with the ever smiling and happy Theo, who's loud and always drawing in attention from everyone. She sometimes gets overwhelmed by his presence and distants herself quickly. At this point, Theo has adjusted to it -- but it doesn't mean it still doesn't hurt. Theo worries about people trying to tell his sister that's she not good enough, or that her fear will consume her from doing anything. He really understands her and tries to make sure she knows that. He also just really wants her to have some friends.

 Lily felt a tug on her backpack, turning to face her brother. She rolled her eyes, a half smile on her face. "Surely, Mr. President. It's all you've wanted from me since you announced it." He grinned at her, obviously happy. Not that it was hard, Lily knew that all she had to do was smile and he'd think she was Mother Teresa. 
 

OH YES. COSTUMES REQUIRED OR YOU'RE A LOSER. SINCE YOU'RE RELATED TO THE GLORIOUS ME, YOU WILL BE DRESSED TO THE NINES, CORRECT~?

"Again, you know I know that." She shook her head. "We've only been making our costumes since last year." That was  one of her and her brother's bonding activities. They both created dozens of 'duo' costumes, but this year was going to be the most fun. "Harley Quinn and Deadpool, the craziest people in the comic book universe. I had to buy hair dye and too much spandex for that clerk's liking."

((just letting you know that it doesn't matter who is who with that duo -- the amount of times these two have been like "but i want to be the girl!! it's much more fun!!" and Theo showed up as Uma Thurman and Lily as John Travolta from Pulp Fiction or Theo as Kim Possible (yes, he did rock that crop top) and Lily as Ron Stoppable. They also have done Marshall Lee/Marceline from Adventure Time, Jon Snow and Daynerys from Game of Thrones, etc. They have fun.))

"Whaaaaaaaaat. Who told you that?" Lily tilted her head. She knew that if Theo found out about her skipping classes, she'd be done for. He was the Senior Class President, after all.  "I know i've been late a few times, but... never skipping classes." She reasoned. That wasn't anything new anyways -- Lily's never been on time for anything in her life, including her birth. The way Theo was looking made her worry a bit. Did someone tell him?
 

WEEEEEEEELL I JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW. WHAT YOU DO IS UP TO YOU, BUT IF YOUR GRADES FALL, YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS ~~

Lily reached out to smack him. "Theo!" He cackled at her, running away as she chased him down the hallway. "You made me worry for no reason. You're so mean." She pouted as she grabbed his arm. When asked about what she was worried if she wasn't skipping classes, she rolled her eyes again. "I was worried that a teacher overexaggerated to you, and you told mom and dad... You didn't, did you?" Theo shook his head, and Lily felt some stress melt away. Good.

"....Theo, we go home together... And you're the one who sewed the sequins, I'm-- you're already gone, never mind." She sighed, watching him skip off. Despite his goofy personality, she knew he wanted her to branch out more and have fun, especially since he was leaving next year...

Oh, if only he knew.

A.J. YOUNG

⟪ RELATIONSHIP ⟫

Lily's thoughts on A.J.: A.J. is her brothers best girl friend (yes, with the space, lmao) who's also on the Senior Student Council with him. A.J. is super cute and sweet, albeit very similar to her older brother. A.J. never fails to make her smile and laugh even when she doesn't want to. She's not the most focused or organized, but she's ready to have fun and pull everyone in while she's at it. Lily just really likes A.J. -- maybe not in /that/ way completely, because well, it's her big brother's best friend, but she genuinely enjoys and likes being around A.J.

A.J.'s thoughts on Lily: She thinks she is the most adorable perosn on this planet, even over Theo. (Something the boy frequently whines about, tbh) A.J. always looks forward to student council events because that means Lily will help and Lily is so easy to have a good time with. From pranking to teasing, the younger girl takes it all in stride for some reason and she likes being around her. A.J. thinks of Lily has a cute younger step-sister mostly?? Like omg you precious girl I wanna kiss you-- wAIT THAT WAS REAL GAY AND SHE'S YOUR BFF'S YOUNGER SISTER WHOOOO BACK THAT TRAIN UP.

Interactions: A.J. IS SUPER PLAYFUL and Lily just allows her to do what she wants, tbh. A.J. enjoys doing silly, non-harmful pranks to Lily, like putting a bunch of pillows in her locker or switching her lunchbox with her brother's -- even weird prank calls that make no sense but she does it anyways. Even when Theo and A.J. get on their pun wars, she just laughs and shakesher head, even though they really are bad and everyone else hates them. 
Lily gives A.J. reminder notes bc lord knows her and her brother will not remember /anything/ on their actual to-do list if left to their own devices. She's the silent caring type who shows her affection through non-verbal cues and doing things.
