I passed my AFF anniversary last week and totally forgot to make a blog post TT.TT I’ve been an user since 2011, so that means it’s my FOURTH ANNIVERSARY

Yes, I am one of the old ones. I actually still use the Old Theme for AFF because the new one confuses me and annoys me. I’m proud of the number of stories that I have been able to finish and I’m thankful for all of you readers. I’ve made some great friends through this site and my junior and senior year of high school would have been very different without this website!

When I look back to my stories, I can sense how I have changed, both as a maturing teenager and in writing style. Someone commented on one of my first stories recently (a 2min one) and I was like…woahhh haha. I’d almost forgotten that I used to write 2min.

Although I have not had much time to write in the past two years because of college, I’m thankful for those of you who still patiently wait for me to update. I was so touched when I returned to Fiction and Fact and received such a warm welcome back, because that was a story that I started in 2012, and still have not finished.

I honestly have to credit EXO as the reason why I have been able to write so successfully. This may sound cheesy and everything, but EXO really was my muse. Before AFF, I’d always liked writing, but I have never been able to finish anything. The SHINee and Super Junior fics that I started with on this site made me more dedicated, but it wasn’t until EXO that I really got addicted to writing. My Best Friend was where it allll started. I went through recently just to pick out some of my favorite stories out of my completed ones (50fics? omg) ~ I'm also curious as to what your favorite stories of mine are.

My favorites:

1. Safe and Sound – I came up with after I had a dream that was related :3 I got to work with kamisama for this one and it was the start of a beautiful friendship hehehe kami would write in blobs of word vomit on her chapters hehehe it was a fun collab. This was also around when Jongin became one of my biases.
2. Smiling Eyes – this was written at the height of my obsession with Lu Han. The entire fic had a mellow feel that I really liked. It’s almost like a slice of life, because there was no real central conflict and it’s more character driven than plot driven.
3. Total Recall - This was the most recent thing I wrote, so I guess it feels more like my current writing style. I technically finished Different Galaxies later, but I've been working on that for months. Total Recall is interesting...my first venture into anything psychology related, and also first time with Minseok as a main character even if he was only the second lead.  
4. What Is Love – This was the Reply 1997 inspired oneshot that I wrote randomly one night. It’s light hearted and silly, and is written in a different format. It explores three different types of relationships and it's ... unique compared to my other stuff, so I like it a lot.  
5. Come On Make Me Feel Alive - otherwise known as the Chinaline Roadtrip fic that I did with eexiee. This one was a lot of fun to write and it's fun to read as well ~ light hearted summer fun. I think we decided we'be both pick a ship to include in it, and she picked Krisho and I picked Layhan so that's how it ended up.  
6. My Best Friend - Mostly just for the nostalgia, this being my first EXO fic, and because the main characters are Kris and Lu Han who was both gone :( It's not my best writing, since I it was so long ago, but...it holds a special place in my heart. One thing that bothers me when I go back and read it now is how I used everyone's stage names (like Xiumin instead of Minseok). My character was supposed to have known them before they debuted, so it would have made more sense if she called everyone by their real names. I use Yixing's real name for some odd reason...I can't really remember why. I think it was because this was when EXO literally JUST debut. I didn't feel like I knew the EXO members enough to use their real names. Maybe I just really liked Yixing's Chinese name or something? Or I always knew in the back of my mind that Yixing would eventually end up as my bias after a lot of switching around TT.TT 

Not so favorites:

1. Fairytale/Still In Love With You/Sweet and Sour – I wrote this while I was on vacation one summer and I liked it at the time. But after….eek. I thought about taking it down or putting it on private at one time but I just decided to ignore its existence instead. I have no idea why I wrote it…it’s kind of embarrassing now >.<
2. Paparazzi – I wrote this the same time as My Best Friend, and I remember that everyone seemed to like Paparazzi more, which I never understood. Paparazzi is very plot driven, with little character development. It makes for a fun read, but it’s not good writing on my end.
