BIO » Born on August 12, 1990, Yeon Jae is the only child of parents Ji Chan Soo and Lee Mae Ae. Being raised in the same small apartment all her life lead her to strive for simple things, but high dreams. Though her family was middle class in terms of economics (father the president of a small automotive company and mother a professional florist), her family never spent the money in large ways. Yeon Jae has never been on an airplane, has only ridden on a train once in her life (from Incheon to Seoul, one way). She never quite understood why she only got new clothing for Christmas and her birthday, but she never complained. Her parents had always told her they were saving for her college fund. This confused her quite often though, as she was never that great of a student. In the middle of the pack in terms of ranking, Yeon Jae did what she needed in order to get by.
Her interest in learning was never great, except for a few things. When she was thirteen years old, her mother signed her up for cooking classes on the basis that it would make her a good housewife one day. She didn't start out as the greatest cook, but as the lessons continued, she was able to complete many dishes, traditional and western in specific. In addition to cooking classes, her mother enrolled her in many other types of extra curricular activities, including tennis (which she quit after three months), piano (only one and a half months), dance, and voice lessons. It was during voice lessons at the age of fifteen where she discovered her passion for singing soft ballads. Although she never originally intended to follow an idol career path, when she found out about an online video competition, she forced herself to give it a shot. Out of thousands of applicants, Yeon Jae got in the top one hundred, but didn't make the final cut. Despite being discouraged by the failure, Yeon Jae only pushed herself harder and harder. In order to accomplish her newfound goal, she joined various dance classes (hip hop, ballet, and modern, though she wasn't very good at the latter), and pursued different types of singing (ballads, pop, and rap- the last being something she failed at, hard). The stubborn attitude that had only appeared on rare occasions had spread like wildfire. There was a force inside of her that spurred her to continue, wanting to at least get into the top ten the next time she auditioned. And many years later, when she was nineteen- nearly twenty- years old, she did just that. Making it into the top ten (place six to be exact), Yeon Jae packed her bags and traveled to Seoul (with the accompaniment of her parents).
Starting trainee life shortly after her twentieth birthday, a mere two months after sending in her audition tape, Yeon Jae was fascinated to learn more about a dream she had never considered pursuing before. Though the training was rigorous and brutal (she sprain her ankle after four months of hardcore dance training and lost her voice only one month after that), she had never felt more at home. The packed schedules, forced diet, and strict rules gave her a sense of security that she hadn't felt before. After nearly two years, transforming herself from an average (not exactly skinny) girl to a skinny, pretty woman, SM Entertainment had told her that she would finally be getting training with a group of other girls- the road that was needed for debut. Upon hearing this news, Yeon Jae went out to celebrate with some other SM trainees.
Though Yeon Jae was young and naive, she believed she could hang out with the other artists, despite not being much of a party girl. That's where the trouble began. Not only was she drinking under the legal age, there was some photographic evidence that came to light the morning after that cast a dark shadow over her future career at SM. The photo was far from innocent- it was clear that her and the other artist were both in various states of and not acting in an innocent manner, though her face wasn't well seen and the general public had no idea who she was. Within two hours of the evidence being released on the internet for all to see, Yeon Jae was called into SM's offices and promptly dismissed from the company. Lucky for her, her debut was never officially announced due to the fact that her status as a trainee had never been solidified. Five months after leaving SM, Yeon Jae found CT Entertainment. She was determined to become an idol and prove that she was more than a scandal. Her training wasn't easy, as she pushed herself even harder and fairly often became sick from the stress and overwork. This didn't stop her for a second- she pushed herself to continue her training even when she was unwell. In order to skirt past any suspicions, she changed her hair color from black to brown, and changed her figure from stick-straight to curvy and y (after months and months of hard work).
Note to the authors: I imagine the man in the scandal being someone ultra popular, Taemin or Kai or Chanyeol (my two exo favs, I can't pick one!). They don't get a lot of backlash because #1 they're popular so people believe them when they say that it was the mystery girl's fault and #2, you know how American celebs can get away with things just because they're so famous? I sort of picture it like that. Like "oh, Chanyeol is too sweet to take advantage of a girl, so she must have gotten him drunk and did these things to him! She probably took the picture so she could become famous too!" It's up to you how you want it to go, but that's just how I see it happening.

PERSONALITY » Yeon Jae is the kind of girl who enjoys taking risks, whether it's trying a new flavor of ice cream or going on the scariest ride at the amusement park, she has no fears. From heights to depths, speedy drops or flippy roller coasters, she'll do it all and try to convince everyone else to do the same. Sometimes this gets her into trouble, as she can bring up these topics at the wrong moment, making it clear how immature she is. Other times she can end up hurt by taking risks without fully thinking of the consequences first (she's still goes on wild roller coasters directly after eating, no matter how many times she ends up puking). Her adventurous side goes hand in hand with her vibrant side, always showing her happiness (even if she isn't truly happy in the moment). Although she was an only child, both of her parents were both quite busy with work. Her father was the president of an automotive company and was trying to work his way higher. On the other hand, her mother ran a flower shop and was constantly at the greenhouse behind the store caring for her flora. From an early age, she was in charge of making her own lunch boxes and getting herself prepared for school, thus became a very efficient worker. Constantly making sure things are done before they need to be and that everyone else is happy and fed, she prides herself on caring for others. Especially when it comes to someone needing a shoulder to cry on. She's always there for those she's close to, whether or not she understands the situation or even when she doesn't have any words to comfort.
On the downside, she's an extremely messy person. Although she is efficient in the sense that all of her school assignments would be done before dinner and the driveway would be shoved from snow before anyone needed to leave the house, being an only child left a mark. Leaving dishes on the counter, tables, even in the bathtub sometimes, Yeon Jae has a problem cleaning up after herself. Her distracted and immature attitude both contribute to her clumsiness, whether she's too busy texting to see the curb in front of her or whining about something ridiculous ("It's too hot!" "We're in the snow!"), these things often wind up with her falling or running into something. There's one thing Yeon Jae likes a lot that gets her into trouble more than anything else. Skinship. She loves it. Hugging, holding hands, kissing cheeks (and the corner of lips when no one is looking). Yeon Jae loves to flirt. Batting her eyelashes and smiling her perfectly sweet smile, it's fun for her to play around. She doesn't do anything more than simple touches and flirting- and if anyone seems truly interested in her, she'll make sure they know she's only teasing. That doesn't always help, though. Some people get pissed off at her when she admits she wants nothing more from them. The worst part is, when someone gets mad at her (even if it's her fault), she'll snap and scold them. She may not get loud, but her words can be venomous and hold a real punch.

PERSONALITY » He's extremely charming, and he knows it. Often a smooth talker and fairly flirty, he seems cool on the outside but is rather childish and lame when with someone he's extremely comfortable with. Although he doesn't show it, he is scared of people being better than him and shows his displeasure by cursing (something he never does). He's the kind of man that will go out of his way to protect the one he loves, even if it puts himself at risk. Often misunderstood, Eunhyuk is a cocky guy with a y smirk and a player aura. Fans see him as funny, weird, and happy. He pours his heart and soul into his music and dancing. He loves to play pranks, tease, and flirt. This may cause a bit of trouble between the couple, but they both are natural flirts and therefore understand that there is a difference between flirting with others and with each other.
RELATIONSHIP » They met when she was a trainee at SM and he was one of the dance choreographers / trainers helping out. They became close friends slowly and remained friends even after she left SM, though he never found out the reason why.
In the beginning of their friendship, it was nothing more than that. They both tried to keep it very professional until he just couldn't hold himself back and confessed to her. She wanted to keep the relationship hidden due to her past making her fearful. Though she never tells him the truth, he understands that something must have happened and keeps his hands off of her in front of others. In private, he enjoys playing with her hair and touching her waist (in a non-ual manner).
For a long time, their relationship was not known. He didn't want it to be known because he felt like it was betraying his fans while she was uncomfortable with her past. They accidentally got caught kissing in a movie theatre on a date. Even after that, they lied and said it wasn't them, that they were just friends. After nearly a year since they first started dating, they admitted the truth.
OUTCOME » I usually leave this up to the author, but I'd like the outcome to be a bit of a cliffhanger proposal or something? Cheesy and romantic and breathtaking and she'd say yes but perhaps it ends with him pulling out a ring?
