personality On the surface, Chun Yu seems like nothing more than a genuine, wonderful person. There's no wall to break down, she's truly as outgoing and friendly as she seems. There's rarely a smile missing from her face, and she's always on the tipping point of almost-laughter. It doesn't matter where she is or what's going on, she could be in a three hour line to get onto an amusement park ride, she's constantly talking to the people around her and making friends. It's probably because she spent so much time with her mother as she was growing up, but she always feels the need to take care of those around her. A surprising side to Chun Yu is the fact that she can be extremely flirty- to the point that some see it as erted or ual. It's not something she does on purpose, really, she's just so comfortable with herself and her body that she doesn't see any issues, especially with skinship. This can definitely lead to some issues down the road. Despite her being such a good hearted person, she can often be selfish. Meaning, if she's upset for some reason, it won't matter that other people might be upset. She's not going to empathize with them when no one is doing the same for her. Two things that get on people's nerves sometimes is her spontaneous or abrupt nature- she'll drop what she's doing in order to run off and do something else. background Nam Chun Yu was born on April 7th, 1993 to Nam Sungyeon and Zhang Meigui in Tianjin, China. Her parents met there four years earlier, her father a Korean transplant there for work. Chun Yu was born and raised in a happy but simple family, learning both Korean and Chinese from a young age. At the age of three, her father was called to return to Korea for his work, and the family moved together to Gangnam, South Korea. Lucky that she was in the process of learning both langauges, the change wasn't very difficult. Her mother, Meigui, had a difficult time with the transition though. When she enrolled in school, her mother enrolled her in ballet class and choir in hopes of making her more well rounded. As a small child, she didn't really enjoy either dance class or choir, but as she grew a few years older, it grew on her. By age nine, Chun Yu began auditioning for talent shows, and although she wasn't accepted for a few years, she never lost hope.

At age twelve, Chun Yu performed at her first talent show. She was well received, and won third place for her cover of BoA's "Girl on Top". It was that moment that she truly fell in love with performing, and insisted that she do more. By sixteen, she had five more talent show wins under her belt (including a first place win for her cover of Wonder Girl's "Nobody"). With hesitant approval from her parents, Chun Yu began to audition for entertainment companies in 2008. At the time, she was rejected by all of the companies she auditioned for. With a renewed vigor for learning, Chun Yu joined a street performance group so she could learn more of the kpop style group work versus her previous solo training. In 2010, now eighteen with a couple more years of experience under her belt, Chun Yu dared to audition for companies again. She got call backs for JYP and SM, and got accepted into SM Entertainment after the second audition. She became a trainee in late 2010.

Often a smooth talker and fairly flirty, he seems cool on the outside but is rather childish and lame when with someone he's extremely comfortable with. Although he doesn't show it, he is scared of people being better than him and shows his displeasure by cursing (something he never does otherwise). He's the kind of man that will go out of his way to protect the one he loves, even if it puts himself at risk. Often misunderstood, Eunhyuk is a cocky guy with a y smirk and a player aura. Or, that's what he shows off, at least. Fans see him as funny, weird, and happy. There's hardly a time when he doesn't have a smile on his face. He pours his heart and soul into his music and dancing. He loves to play pranks, tease, and flirt. This may cause a bit of trouble between the couple, but they both are natural flirts and therefore understand that there is a difference between flirting with others and with each other. And being seniors at her company, they were a thing of myth, almost. One day, the girl's got a special treat, where a handful of seniors from various groups visited their practice room to give them tips and advice. Chun Yu was working hard on a very difficult bit of choreography when Eunhyuk strolled over and gave her some simple advice that made it seem like a very easy dance move. She accidentally thanked him by giving him a snarky, witty remark, which caught him off guard. Once she realized who she was talking to, she apologized half a dozen times and refused to make eye contact with him after that.
– On occasion, they met again and again at the company. After their first meeting, he'd about her sarcasm, or ask how her choreographies were doing. Slowly, they became friends of sorts, though it was very senior-junior.
– Eunhyuk was the host of a variety talk show where Chun Yu and a couple other rookie idols were guest appearing. Because the other rookies were from other companies, he spoke to them professionally, keeping his teasing light and airy. When it came to her though, he playfully revealed her "rude" attitude to the public, but to keep anyone from getting the wrong idea about Chun Yu, he said it was an attractive trait to have.
– From then on, whenever they saw each other, it was more of a flirty relationship.
– Over time, they grow close enough to have a few casual (well-hidden) dates. When Chun Yu broaches the idea of becoming more serious, he rejects her. After a period of time of not talking, he admits he's worried about committing to someone, plus he's dedicated to his career and fans. She admits she got attached to him rather fast because she's never dated, and was sensitive to the new experiences.
– With a better understanding of each other, they slowly get to the dating again. Sometimes they 'take breaks' from each other when one gets too busy. At one point they have a big fight because he doesn't like their large age difference (7 years). Sometimes they take their petty little fights too far and claim they want to break up, but get back together the next day because it wasn't true. The times they really break up, it's because of something more intense, like the age issue.
