KPOP Piano Medleys + Performance Night

Lately, I've been busying myself with music (LikeAlways). What I've been drastically focusing on is creating KPOP Piano Medleys.

I started my first KPOP piano medley back in 2014 during the summer. I never finished it, really. I had to force myself to finish my first medley when I submitted it in for my school's performance night mandatory audition, and yes, being the procrastinator I am, I submitted it last minute. I really didn't have anything at that time to do, so I submitted old work that wasn't even finished. I know, that was really lazy of me, BUT there was good results at the end! I forced myself to finish it, then auditioned with it, and became part of the performance, performed it, and heard good feedbacks & wonderful compliments.

Because there were some people who weren't able to hear it, I decided to create the medley through Garageband, which worked out perfectly, then posted it to YouTube. My friend said she got a video of it, but I didn't want to ask for it because. Well. I did mess up at this one particular part, and I didn't want to bother her with it, so I did what I did, Posted it up onto YouTube. Since I had shared it with my friends, I decided to share it with you guys too! After all, you guys are the true KPOP lovers here & probably actually know the songs!

The made a second KPOP piano medley because I enjoyed doing the first one so much! I was surprised by how fast I finished it. Anyways, here it is. I hope you guys enjoy listening to it. If you want, Subscribe to me, Like the videos, & Comment feedbacks/advice, your thoughts, etc.!

And yes, I know the main chords I used for both Medleys aren't the same chords for some of the original songs used, but I still used those chords anyways, because I didn't think it ruined the medleys at all. It just gives a different feel to the song, but that's alright, isn't it? It's music, and that's what music does. AND I'm no pro and advanced piano player. I'm simply still a learning student, so I apologize if some harmonization doesn't complement you well. Again, I hope you guys like it!

For those who are curious about how my performance night went, let me tell you, it was pretty nice! There were so many new things I learned through this experience. You really need patience to be a performer. My school hours end at 2PM, and I had to stay after school with the rest of the performers because there was a bus that would be taking us to the place we were going to perform at. So we were at school until 3:30 & arrived at the place around 3:40. We began rehearsal right away: we checked the lights, made sure the sound was coming out right, soundchecks, mic checks, etc. A quick runthrough of the show all over again. That took about two hours. The show actually began at 6PM, I think haha I don't remember--, and then there was a 20 minute intermission, then the next efw performers, and finally I was up for my performance! I've got to say, waiting in a small, tight green room for about an hour and a half really killed me. I was dead tired and it was SO boring waiting for my turn. Performers weren't allowed to go into the audience to watch those performing, so it was really boring waiting. My phone was practically almost dead, and their outlets at the place didn't work! So I had almost nothing to do but to sit and stare. It was horrible, slightly, but I had my friends and my brother there too, so it wasn't all too bad. Anyways, when my turn came, I was really nervous. I was told there wasn't too much people, but because of the lighting, I couldn't see the audience, which was great! Because it felt like no one was watching me, so I was able to play easier. The second I began playing, I went off tempo because my fingers were stiff and cold, but that quickly escalated as they warmed up right away. It wasn't until midway that I played a chord two time in a row, but other than that, everything else was on point. After my performance, I was able to go into the audience, FINALLY. They finally let us because it was too crowded in the greenroom anyways. It was just a very fun experience. I've never performed in front an audience, on stage, like that before, so I was really happy to be part of the show. Through that experience, I was able to confirm something that I had always been edgy about: Yes, I really do want to continue standing on stage and showing my love for music.
