Yuri wonders how she'd gotten into this predicament in the first place: soaked, underwater, and most importantly sharing her breath with Jessica as if it were the only way to keep the blonde alive.

But... Yuri reasons, wouldn't she have died? Humans are supposed to breathe out carbon dioxide, aren't they? What was the formula for carbon dioxide again? Gosh darn it, she never should have thrown her chemistry notes out in her haste to move out of her parents' house. Wait, isn't that what the internet is for---

Suddenly, Yuri feels a light pat on her shoulder and she opens her eyes.

Jessica's wide eyes are staring straight at hers, piercing through hers so easily she wonders why she isn't dead yet. Why would someone die from being intensely stared at---

Yuri shakes her head like crazy, effectively (accidentally) seperating her face from Jessica's.

Their "breath-sharing" kiss was short-lived, but electrifying nonetheless.

Yuri takes Jessica by the hand, knowing full well that the blonde is more than capable of swimming, and they both head to what seems to be a river bank.

Where exactly could they be? Are they in a river? Duh. What would explain the river bank, rocks on what seems like a river bed---

Yuri feels yet another pat on her shoulder and looks back, only to see Jessica giving her that "go-on" look.

Oh.

She hurriedly swims towards the surface, tugging the blonde along with her.

They try their best to drag themselves onto a drier piece of land, almost collapsing from the fatigue. Yuri shuts her eyes, trying to slow down her breathing.

She receives another electrifying kiss from Jessica. Yuri can feel that the petite woman's lips are moist, and is almost sure that it is because of the fresh water of the river.

Could it be her ego acting up if she says that Jessica's lips are moist because of her own?

Before she can get caught up in another endless train of thought, Jessica pulls away.

Yuri smiles. She likes getting kisses from Jessica, but at that moment she is ultimately glad that she is alive.

"The police. We were running away from the police." Jessica finally speaks, as if she knows what is going on in Yuri's mind, seconds after they part and rests herself on top of Yuri.

Mid-year exams are just around the corner and, knowing myself, I'm probably going to get lots of plot bunnies and inspiration but revision week is revision week so yeah. Gotta focus on my studies, guys. Think of this as a preview of what you're gonn get after exams are over on the second day of the sixth month. Yeahhh bye
