"Because I like you

Minho opens the backdoor of the house. The garden is really wide in scale. The grasses are pure and the tall trees are standing horizontally in line, facing the mansion. Nevertheless, the clear pond in the middle of the garden completes it all. Minho gasps in amusement, mesmerized by the natural beauty. It adds his astonishment even more when he sees her sitting on a bench nearby. There she is. She is dressed in black with her hair swaying in elegance due to the breeze flying past her. Even seeing her from the back is beautiful, he thought.

Minho smells the roses in his hands once more and breathes out in nervousness. He hides them behind his back. He fixes his hair and his blazer, then clears his throat. Now that he sees her in front of him, he feels extremely nervous and his heart is beating so fast. Get a grip, Choi Minho! You can do this. Just act comfortably and naturally. Let's go. Fighting! He clenches his fist in determination and takes a few steps to the bench.

When Minho is already close enough behind her, Yuri still doesn't seem to realize his presence. Her eyes are simply just staring at the pond. He can tell that she's deeply into her thoughts. Suddenly an idea pops up in his head. Minho starts to grin mischievously and he tiptoes to the right side of the bench. Seeing how she still doesn't notice him, he silently brings out the flowers and hides his face. He slowly leans closer to her face with the flowers in front. He wants to scare her. Having a sense as if something is approaching her, she quickly turns her head to the right.

"WOAH!!" she instinctively pushes the flowers away from her and jolts backwards, leaning against the bench in shock

"TADA!!" yells Minho. He cutely leans his head to the side to show his face. He giggles at her for falling into his prank

"YAH! What do you think you're doing?!" she glares up to him fiercely. She almost got a heart attack because of his stupid prank. What a choding!

"I'm sorry. It's just that you were so deeply into your thoughts" he says in the midst of his giggles. Seeing how she doesn't find it funny and just continues to glare at him, he slowly gets ahold of his laughter

"May I sit here?" he politely points to the empty space beside her. Yuri stands up from the bench and turns her back towards him. She starts to walk away, leaving him behind. Minho is surprised with her sudden action and he quickly catches up to her

"Hey, wait up! Where are you going?" he stops in front of her, blocking her way. Yuri just crosses her arms and rolls her eyes. Minho looks at her in confusion, wondering why she is so angry. Is she mad because I pranked her? He bites his bottom lip in guilt and glances at the roses in his hand. He suddenly remembers that he is supposed to give it to her

"Oh, I brought these for you!" he cheerfully holds the flowers out with both of his hands, hoping that this will cheer her up. However, she just rolls her eyes at the roses in his hands and continues to stare into his eyes in a cold manner

"How typical. You must've thought all girls are the same, don't you? Just get them a dozen of roses and they'll simply fall for you. Is that it? Excuse me but... I'm different than all those girls you've ever dated, okay? Try to think of something else next time" she scoffs and ignores the roses in his hands. She goes a little to the side to walk past him. Minho is left speechless. Did she just misunderstood me as a player? Minho frowns in disbelief and turns to go after her again

"Wait! Can you please slow down?" he continues to jog after her. Yuri ignores his call and fastens her pace

"Are you ignoring me right now? YUL!!" yells Minho, still trying to reach to her. Yuri suddenly stops her tracks and frowns. Finally he is now able to stand next to her

"What did you just call me?" she turns to Minho with a stern gaze

"Yul. I'm giving you your nickname. That's what I'm going to call you starting from now on" Minho points to her face with a mischievous grin, telling her off as if she's a naughty little girl

"What right do you have to even call me whatever you want?? What a ridiculous nickname!" she shouts at him in irritation. Now he even dares to give me a nickname?!

"No it's not! It totally suits you perfectly. Kwon Yuri is a name which represents how beautiful you look, but Yul is a special nickname I gave you implying how cute you are when you're angry, understand??" he argues with her while crossing his arms. Hearing his words, Yuri gazes at him in surprise. He actually thinks I'm cute? she thought to herself. That would be the first time a guy ever tells her that. Due to her cold attitude towards others, guys may think that she is indeed beautiful, but her icy appearance makes herself hard to be approached by them. Donghae is the only guy that has succeeded in winning her heart, but yet until now, even he had never complimented her being cute

"Pfft. What kind of a nickname is that? So cheesy!" she stutters and avoids Minho's eyes to hide her blushing face. She clears to get rid of her nervous feeling

"Why? I'm telling you it really fits you well. Hasn't anyone ever told you that??" Yuri rolls her eyes. Well, it's true anyway. No one ever told her that, not even her parents. But so what? Yuri shakes her head. She shouldn't let her heart get shaken by his words. She shouldn't let her guard down. Who knows what he's planning to do to her?

"Yes, you're right. No one said that to me before. That's why I'm saying you're cheesy! What is your intention anyway? Why are you doing this??" she blurts out and raises her eyebrow in curiosity

"What do you mean?" Minho stares at her. He totally doesn't get what she's trying to say to him

"You know exactly what I mean. Do you expect me to believe that it was a coincidence when you met me in the first place? You knew I was the chairman's daughter and the only successor of Castle Hotel. Wasn't that why you purposely kicked the ball at me and eagerly tried to send me home? I obviously don't like you and I act cold to you, yet you're still pretending so hard to be nice to me and for what? To take over my dad's place? To inherit his wealth instead?? I'm warning you. Don't expect me to believe that your intentions are sincere! Cos I will never fall for your cheap tricks. One day I'll prove to my parents how deceiving you can be, and break my father's trust in you!" warns Yuri, giving him the deadliest glare ever. She brushes past Minho who is lost for words. His eyes are staring at the ground, frowning in disbelief. His mouth is slightly opened and he clenches his fist. So, that's what she really thinks of me? Does she really think I'm that low? He tightens his jaw and chases after Yuri. He strongly grips her arm and turns her around to face him

"Yah! Let me go!" Yuri struggles to release her arm from him, but Minho is too strong for her. Yuri starts to feel a bit afraid because Minho rarely showed her this serious side of him since he always acts so bright and polite

"Kwon Yul, you never gave me a chance to explain what I feel, do you? Your words were a bit harsh" he mumbles to her in honesty. His eyes are no joke, obviously feeling offended by her accusations. He's always been patient of her icy behavior towards him, but this time Minho thinks that she has crossed the line. He doesn't mind if she continues to act this way, but accusing him of something that's not even real, he thinks he definitely needs to speak out his thoughts. His pride is important to him too!

"Why don't you just leave me alone?! Why do you keep bothering me?! Wherever I go, you always showed up! I already told you that I don't like you so why do you keep following me around?! Just go away-"

"Because I like you!!" shouts Minho, cutting her sentences. Yuri finally stops struggling from his grip and stares back at him in shock.

Ouch now that's just harsh, wasn't it? Haha... Anyway, it's been tough for the last two weeks just trying to balance everything out. All I can say is... the struggle was real LOL. But thank God that's over and now, I really hope this chapter was worth the wait hehe...
