Description

Kim Hanbin and Lee Hayi strike an unusual friendship, from across twelve meters.

Foreword

They were never friends.

Their windows were right there in each other's sight, but she had never had a real encounter with him.

She's used to seeing him in her periphery.

He used to only look at her from far away.

What happens if she turns her gaze?

And what happens when he starts to look more closely?

Hi. First story here. It's supposed to be a one-shot, but somehow I found myself tapping away until the story became longer and longer. Anyway, this is mainly for the ship that's steadily climbing up my list. :)

Chapter 11: How irony that i read this after hanbin leaving ikon and can't help to point out some similarities between this story line with the real life situation right now. Like how this jiwon got involved with drug and it's the freaking thing people accused hanbin with. Like how hayi said "welcome back, hanbin-ah" and that's how i want it to happen so much since hayi is having her comeback around but it feels so much emptiness without hanbin as her best friend to fill his singing parts. Despite this one very thing happened, it still manages to hurt me beyond words. And i shouldn't ponder about it often for now as I'm sitting for my final exam till 1st july. I need to stay focus, yet we know it's still futile to put aside the thing that matter to us. Let's just hope everything will go back the way it was, better and greater.

Chapter 10: Thank you for taking the time to write this!

Chapter 8: Bravo! Hanbin’s speech to Jiwon was well written!

Chapter 7: I love the line, “My comfort pales in comparison.” It just rolled off the tongue nicely!
I also thought of the line where Lee Hi says it doesn’t matter if you know what you want to do or not, as long as you look forward. There’s depth to it, and I agree with her. People are always saying you have to follow your dreams, but dreams don’t make good leaders. You can give up things that you’d like to do for the best things.

Chapter 6: I love the verse you put in the beginning. “Love is the great reversal.”

And these two are so sweet!

Chapter 4: Okay so he didn’t commit suicide. Death is really an awful thing. But it can be overcome.

You capture emotions well!

Chapter 3: Oh no, he committed suicide! It’s such an awful thing ): I wish people knew that they have hope in a living God so that they won’t just throw away their lives.

Chapter 1: I think the way you describe details is lovely, and when you started talking about lights and warmth, I immediately thought of this, “God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.”
