If You (Part 1)
SKYDRAGON ONESHOTS
She is leaving
And I can’t do anything
Love is leaving
Like a fool, I’m blankly standing here
I’m looking at her, getting farther away
She becomes a small dot and then disappears
Will this go away after time passes?
I remember the old times
I remember you
IF YOU
IF YOU
If it’s not too late
Can’t we get back together?
IF YOU
IF YOU
If you’re struggling like I am
Can’t we make things a little easier?
I should’ve treated you better when I had you
How about you?
Are you really fine?
Guess our break up is setting
I should forget you but it’s not easy
I’m looking at her, getting farther away
She becomes a small dot and then disappears
Will I feel better if I meet someone?
I remember the old times
I remember you
IF YOU
IF YOU
If it’s not too late
Can’t we get back together?
IF YOU
IF YOU
If you’re struggling like I am
Can’t we make things a little easier?
I should’ve treated you better when I had you
On days where thin rain falls like today
I remember your shadow
Our memories that I secretly put in my drawer
I take them out and reminisce again by myself
Why didn’t I know
About the weight of sadness that comes with breaking up?
IF YOU
IF YOU
If it’s not too late
Can’t we get back together?
IF YOU
IF YOU
If you’re struggling like I am
Can’t we make things a little easier?
I should’ve treated you better when I had you
I see her walking away. Her light hair bouncing in the air, leaving me with dread. I feel guilty, knowing I could have done something to prevent this, but really, what could have I done? What could we have done to prevent this? We were made to fall apart but I feel like a part of me is leaving with her. I slide my hands inside my pockets and I feel something inside, something sharp. It's her necklace. The shining diamond glistens under the moonlight. She's nowhere to be seen now. She must be taking the train back home. The one we used to go on every day during the summer. The wind picks up and my body is chilled by the unforgiving weather. I hear thunder nearby so I walk inside a nearby cafe, hoping for some warmth but my only sunshine is gone.
"Jiyong? What are you doing here?" I hear a familiar voice behind me and I turn around to find Kiko.
"Oh, hey, what's up?"
"I'm here for fashion week, how are you?"
"That's cool. I'm okay, I guess." I tell her as she kisses my cheek, sitting on the chair opposite of me.
"How are you and Chaerin?" She asks as she rummages through her purse.
"We... we broke up." She stops. Her eyes widen and she gives me a look I used to know very well. We dated a couple of years ago but the distance made it impossible to be together.
"I'm sorry. I know she meant a lot to you."
"Thanks." I look down at the menu and try to hide the necklace. I can't bear to see it right now.
"Are you coming to the shows?"
"Maybe, I don't know."
"You've never missed a Chanel show, Jiyong." She looks at me sympathetically.
I shrug and tell the waiter my order. Kiko orders the usual, a small coffee with no sugar.
"We haven't seen in each other in months... A lot has changed, huh?"
"How have you been?" I feign curiosity but the only thing I care about is Chaerin. She's going to the States again to prepare for her debut but I just wish she could stay. I'm momentarily distracted by the thunder rumbling across the city.
"I've been good. I'm making a capsule collection for Kenzo so I'm really excited." She smiles at me with the same twinkle in her eyes but I don't return the smile. I know I'm probably acting like an but she couldn't have showed up at a worse time.
"That's good. I remember we used to love shopping together."
"I used to wear your clothes..." She mumbles with a dizzy smile. I need to get away from the city.
The waiter comes back with my order and I quickly eat the sandwich, surprising myself because I didn't even feel hungry.
