Whirlwind: Chapter 6 (Sehun)
The Stone Chronicles: Rise of the UndeadEmery smiled grimly.
"Hello, Mother."
The woman looked at him and smiled.
"Hello my child."
The woman ushered the two of them into the small but cozy cottage and motioned for them to sit down. She moved to the kitchen and began filling a pot with water. Sehun could see that her hands were shaking.
"Would you like some coffee? Tea? I think I have some of that tea you like, Emery."
He rolled his eyes.
"Tea is fine, mother."
"Good. Good."
She busied herself in the kitchen until the tea was ready, and brought it out to the two men, She nearly dropped a cup, but Sehun had very fast reflexes.
"Oh, look at me, my goodness. Thank you, Sehun."
She sat down, facing the two men. Neither touched their tea.
Sehun had been watching her. He wanted to see if she sparked any sort of recognition in him, but he just couldn't remember.
"How do you know my name?"
She smiled a bit sadly, he thought.
"I could tell by the way you looked at me when I opened the door that you didn't remember me. It's just as well, really. I don't know why I should expect you to, it's been so long. And you were very young."
She chuckled.
"So was I, really."
She silently looked down at her teacup, trying to control her breathing. Sehun had never been so curious in his life, but he didn't want to push her. She looked as though she was about to burst into tears.
