Tao started to whimper, his grip on his katana growing tighter as he stared in fear of the large eight legged monstrosity watching them through the window. His knuckles had grown white from clutching the handle of his sword, his hold on it had gotten shaky. Lacey couldn't believe her eyes. She wasn't one of those girls who screamed bloody murder whenever she saw a spider. Her typical reaction was to grunt in disgust and stomp on it, but now? Now she felt like one of those girls who would scream bloody murder. This spider was definitely not normal. It was, as Tao had stated before, bigass. Its entire head covered the window, who knows how large the rest of its body was! Lay blinked in disbelief at the large creature. His mouth was slightly opened as he took in the whole sight. Like Lacey, he had never seen something like this before. Maybe because he was always in the safety of his village, obeying the rules his parents had given him. The spider was massive and he had a very bad feeling that it would be hard to kill. Baekhyun, who was the closest to the window, watched the spider. It looked to be focused mainly onto him, as if it was taunting him. This was a creature of the darkness, and light would be the easiest way to defeat them. Slowly, he maneuvered his gaze downward onto his hands. Could I do it? Luhan was the only one not feeling any fear. He was too busy trying to control the urge to throw up right there, right now. The sight of the spider's head sickened him. It looked absolutely revolting to look at. "Ugh, it's hideous!" He hissed. SCREEEEECH! It let out a screech that was thankfully muffled by the window. But it was angry now, probably because of what Luhan had said. Tao whipped his head towards the culprit, "You idiot!" He cried out. "You pissed it off and now it's gonna eat us!" Luhan tried not to roll his eyes at his foolishness. "Oh shut up—" "—Guys, zip it!" Lacey shouted. RIIIIP! Finally, she ripped the composition book in her hands, tearing into two halves. It glowed black as it ripped then it shriveling into nothing but dust. The black light surrounded the room and Lacey easily caught the person who she had released. When the light disappeared, the man in her arms looked up to face his savior. Lacey let out a startled gasp. It was like Baekhyun all over again. The man she held had Asian features, strong jawline, and defined cheekbones. But what shocked her—more like scared her—the most were the stitches on his lips. They were stitched tightly, his purplish lips pressed harshly together. "Oh-Oh my god—" "Mmmmph! Mmph! Mmpppph!" He was crying profusely, tears dripping down his face, passing by his damaged lips... "Oh goodness, Jongdae!" Lay exclaimed, mouth gaped in horror. Baekhyun was staring in sympathy, cringing as he did so. "I'll get rid of those stitches—" Before Lay could do anything, loud noises were heard. THUMP! THUMP! THUMP! All of them felt the house shake, but not like an earthquake. It was as if a giant was walking all over the house. Technically there was, but it wasn't a person. "Mmph?" It sounded like a question had come from Jongdae's sealed mouth. There were still tears in his eyes, but they had stopped flowing. He perked his head up, trying to listen to the sounds. Everyone seemed to be nervous, except for Luhan who still wore his grossed out scowl. Lay was nervously biting his lip, looking to be in deep thought. Baekhyun was, again, looking out the window to keep a good eye on the monsterous thing. And Tao was walking back and forth, sword attached to his waist but he didn't dare use it since his hands were too busy holding the other. He paced back and forth, not looking at the window for he was too afraid. "Do you thin
