D E S C R I P T I O N :

Everything falls apart for Elise Hwang on what is supposed to have been the happiest day of her life.

Abandoned at the alter, the helpless bride finds herself running back to the attic in her home, where she can find comfort in the solitude and mend her own broken heart. Here in the safe confines of the attic, home to an array of antiques and abandonded wares from owners that had come and gone, Elise chances upon an aged manuscripte for a long forgotten concerto, and series of letters written by the composer to the girl he loved.

As she uncovers his heartbreaking story, she begins to find that her own destiny is interwined unexplainaly  and irrevocably with the man behind the haunting melody.

This is a story about the one who writes music, and the one who bring it to life.

F O R E W O R D :

Dear Elise,

I smudged the final four bars of the piece because the finalilty of it all suddenly struck my heart, and I could not control the tears from falling. This means that the unfortunate pianist who may never chance upon this manuscript will have to depend on her own imagination to complete it, for I have neither the strength nor the will to re-write the section all over again.I find it ironic how this compostition will be open-ended, when our own ending has been permanently set in stone.

This will be my final concerto.
