Daisy

“daisy” ; innocence, loyal love

Short, chubby fingers pick out another white-petaled flower from the expanse of green, clumsily threading it into the steadily growing daisy chain sitting in the middle of his lap.

“Hyung?” Jungkook’s voice is high-pitched and still slightly hoarse from the cold he’d just barely recovered from two nights ago.

Jimin adds the final daisy to the chain and places it on top of the raven-haired boy.

“What is it, Kookie?”

Jungkook looks upwards, trying and failing to see the daisies.

“What did you make, hyung?”

Jimin giggles and pinches Jungkook’s cheek.

“I made you a crown.”

The younger boy’s eyes immediately light up and excitement.

“A crown?!” Jimin giggles harder at the pure delight written over Jungkook’s face, “Does that mean I’m a prince?”

The older boy tries his best not to topple over from laughing so hard - Jungkook had recently started reading fairytales and he’d been enraptured by the stories of princes and princesses.

“Yeah, Kookie, I guess it does.”

The younger boy tilts his head to the side and regards Jimin as though he’s coming to a conclusion about something, before making his way through the grass and threading daises together in a messier and smaller version of Jimin’s chain, which he then promptly places onto the older’s head with a peck on the cheek.

“Then hyung can be my princess!“
