She bounced the ball back at him.

“Yah! Catch it!”

The ball hit right at his face and he collapsed to the ground.

“Oww..” he winced in pain as he held his nose.

"Jongin!”

He looked down at his hand and his eyes widened in shock. “Bl.. Bl.. Blood! Blood!” he cried.

“Jongin! Are you okay?” Haeun rushed to his side, kicking the ball away.

“Haeun! Blood!” he cried once more. “I’m going to die! I’m going to die!” he cried.

Haeun whacked his head from behind and blew the strand of hair out from her face. “Be a man, Jongin! It’s just a nosebleed. Hold the bridge of your nose and look up. You’ll be fine after a few minutes. I’ll be back with some tissue,” she said and stood up, running back into the house.

Within minutes, she returned back to the field with an ice pack and a tissue box.

“Take this, and this,” she said.

Jongin nodded and used the tissue to wipe off his blood.

He looked up at Haeun and smiled, showing off his front teeth that was missing a tooth. And that was when Haeun eyes widened in shock.

“Jongin! Your tooth.. Where’s your tooth?!”

“My tooth..?” and he spat out the tooth and blood. “My tooth! It’s missing! And there’s more blood! I’m going to die! I’m going to die!” he cried out.

“Get up! We need to get back to see your mother! Hurry!” Haeun rushed as she held him up and placed the ice pack on his forehead, running back into the house.

“Haeun! I.. I think.. I think I’m going to die!” he cried.

“You won’t die! I promise you, we will get married before you die!” Haeun promised. Jongin sobbed and hiccuped as he looked at her. “Re-really? You.. You promise?” he whispered.

Haeun nodded. "We grew up together. Who else can I marry, except you?"
