Yesul's POV

Daehan's condition seems improve a lot better compared the for the past few days. He can now roam around the room and sometimes i accompany him at the park. He was enjoying his breakfast while his eyes is busy watching by the television. Hyunbin contacted me last night and deliver me this good news.

He was granted to have his internship here in XI Hospital.

He kept blabbing and cheering at the phone which i kinda understand and of course i was happy for him, In few more years, he will be a Doctor.

A few knocks from the door diverted my attention, It was Jaekyung, she peeked  through the door, how come she is early today? Though her eyes looks tired she's still pretty as her long mocha colored hair flowed down so elegantly.

"Good morning..", she whispered as she close the door.

"Goodmorning too, your early, it's still 5 am..", i glance at the clock.

"Actually i have an important patient today, .. so i need to be early as possible.", she replied as she make way to Daehan's bed.

"Dr. Jaekyung.. Goodmorning!!", daehan's cheerfully greeted her with a big grin

"You look handsome today Daehan-a.." She ruffled his hair, "Do you like your breakfast?",

He nodded in delight, "I have a secret to tell you ok, but promise me, you wont tell to your Doctor, or else she will get mad at you..",

"Deh! I wont tell!!", he even raise his right palm.

"I bought some donuts and breads.....", she whispered at him, then the little boy jump in happiness

She showed the paperbag at him, "I think your starting to spoil him...", i said and she just chuckled

"He deserve it anyway, he's still a child. a little boy who needs to spend his childhood life to the fullest. Did i tell you that he looks like my fiance when he was like Daehan's age?. With that nose and mouth",

"Really?? But they said he looks like me..", i said but she shrug and i laugh.

"O! Luhan hyung also gave this to me yesterday..", Daehan commented as he was referring to the pastry

"Luhan hyung?",

" He met the president in a not so ideal circumstance, He entered to his office accidentally, he was looking for park but end up disturbing Luhan-ssi..", I said to Jaekyung who has a confuse look

"Oh... he must  love sweets..", she muttered

"You have the same surname also...", i said

She chuckled, "He's my brother..",

It was my turn to get surprise, so apparently, Jaekyung was not only a doctor but also an elite. "just in papers actually, His parents adopted me when i was small..",

I look at her, her expression, her eyes.. " I lost my parents and my brother..i dont even know if they are still alive and their whereabouts. Before ive gone abroad to study, i hired a detective to search them..... but till now, i have no news..",

"I spend almost my life with the Xi, which im grateful and thankful for them. But, i want my real family. every single day, i always pretend and lie to myself that it's ok not to be with them but i end up broken down at the end of the day, from birthdays, graduation day and even on my piano recitals, i just wish one day, i can spend all this occassion with them.", her eyes were teary, she let out a breath to calm down herself.

"Dont stop looking for them.... Maybe fate will make a way to reunite you and your family.. I know and i believe, you will see them soon..", i comforted her

"you know what Yesul, im so comfortable whenever im with you... I can share my persona to you..", she reach my hand "i hope we can be friends, best of friends..",

"Of course... Jaekyung-a, we can..", i smiled to her.

 

 

Jaekyung's POV

After my encounter and chitchat with Yesul, i came back in my office to organize the files and of course i was incharge on the private room for the secretary of defense, Son Hojun. The appointment was sudden, Luhan just called me 4am halfsleep and literally swearing at me. The officer was admitted on our hospital in supervision of Dr. Oh Joonsung, a cardiologist and reported to have an myocardial infarction and intense cephalalgia or intense headache a moment before luhan called me. The endorsement was for check up since it may result to cerebrovascular accident or .

Moment later, a nurse came in saying the secretary is arrived. I put on my white coat and left my office.

 Looking by the laboratory tests and scan images done, there is blood clot building in one of the blood vessel towards to his brain. I made my team to get ready for an immediate operation to remove the clot at the carotid artery by his neck. The patient is half conscious which is a good thing, it may take a little harder if he's unconcious.

 After the operation, i was about to go back in my office when  Park Jimin came along with several unknown faces.

"Dr. Xi! Your early",  as he scan me head to foot.

I nodded, " It was an emergency operation, The Secretary of defense is here..", i replied and he bob his head in acknowledgement

" Before i forget, everyone, please meet the head of the nuerosurgey department and also one of the board of directors, Dr. Xi Jaekyung ..", he introduce me to our hoobaes

"And Dr. Xi, they are our new interns from Busan State University. They are still in their 3rd year.", he said in all smile

Everybody introduce themselves and one of them caught my attention, "Welcome to XI Medical Center in behalf of the  Nuerosurgery department. I hope you will enjoy your internship and of course you will learn something after..",

"Park Hyunbin, your assigned to Dr. Xi..", Jimin announce as he scan the papers, that Hyunbin guy, took a step forward and bowed to me

"Park Hyunbin-imnida. Please take care of me..",

 Jongin's POV

I came back from my early morning jog with my dog, i release the leash and let him wander around. I took off my shoes and put on the shoestand , wearing the slippers entering the living room. As i grabbed a glass of cold water upstairs to check Jaekyung, but the bed is tidy and fix leaving no signs of her, i check my phone and it's still 6:00am, Where is she? I check the bathroom and went down to kitchen.

"Ahjumma, have you seen Jaekyung?",

"O! Mr. Kim, Miss Jaekyung just left awhile ago. She didnt even have time to eat her breakfast.", the ahjumma said as she was preparing my breakfast on the table.

"She left? Did she say where?',

"She was in a hurry, i think in the hospital..", she replied while pouring some coffee on the cup.

Last night, i found her sleeping in the other room, her face is stained by tears probably crying all night. I went back to the party but i got home immediately about 30 minutes, i cant leave her sick and alone.

With a little bit of confrontation between me and my mother last night event,

FLASHBACK

I was about to leave the event as the valet brought my car when my mom called me.

"Jongin, where are you going? The event is not yet finsh..", she said with a glass of champagne on her hand, she's drunk..

"Mom, im going home, Jaekyung needs me, She's sick..", i replied to her, which then her face hardened

"I havent introduce you to the ladies i invited tonight, they came from different prominent and richest family...",

 For the past few years, mom was setting me up for dates, introducing me to people whom i dont give a and damn. I feel guilty that i cant bring this up to Jaekyung, it feels like i was cheating behind her back,  but i think she doesnt need to know since i know for myself no one can replace her in my heart.

"Mom, please, not now... ", i massaged my temples, as stress is building up on me

"Kim Jongin!", she yelled at me as i walk away from her, good thing nobody is around

"I made myself clear to you right? Just go and get wed, except to Jaekyung. ..I AM NOT GOING TO ACCEPT IT!!.",

"Can you stop all of this craziness?! I wont and never get married if not Jaekyung, If you still want me as your son, respect me, respect my decision.. Remember that!",  i lashed out

Hyunbin's POV

 I followed Dr. Xi on her office, different from any typical offices, her office is different, I was amaze on how extravagant it is.

"It doesnt look like an office right?",

"Deh?', i  answered but she smirk at me

"Looking at your expression. You cant just open your mouth that wide...", she commented as she pointed my mouth in ajar.

'Joesonghamnida..", i apologized

"Can i have your profile now?", she opened her palm

"Deh!", and give the folder right away

"So, let's start our orientation...",

Dr. Xi personally toured me around their department. Though we already toured around the hospital last month, i havent gone to their own operation room, it has a lounge  where you can watch actual operation just seperated by a huge glass. I awed as i saw state of the art equipments and machines, their small private library contains hardbound expensive books, illustrations and visual aids. She even introduce me to their whole team.

"Here's all the patient records handled by our department, read and study about it,  You will report to me every monday and discuss it, diagnose their disease and possible treatment. Since you are here in my department, i will let you perform task. From simple to a   more complex one, whether a normal or in emergency cases. I will judge your performance based on that.", she mentioned

"Deh.. Kamsamnida! I will try my best Dr. Xi,' I cheered and bowed at her

" Be sure to have your rounds to all of the patients, Dr. Min will supervise you today... You can go..",

"DEH! I will go first!!", i bowed once again and grabbed the knob

I close the door, and look down on the pile of folders, " This is the start of finishing your dream Hyunbin-a! You will be soon a doctor.!", i muttered to myself

 

Author's POV

Daehan just finished taking a bath and Yesul where folding out his clothes when her phone rang.

"Yoboseyo!",

"Yesul-a.", a woman crying on the other line

"MOM, what happen? why are you crying?", she got ecstatic when she hear some faint sobs

"Your father got hospitalized Yesul-a. He had a heart attack..",

"Bwoh??", Yesul's eyes responded immediately, tears flowed

"Im scared, he's still unconscious..",

"Mom, Im coming there! Wait for me..", she said without thinking, she cant leave with Daehan and if she leave alone, Daehan will be alone.

"Mom, whats wrong?", the child notice her sad face.

"stay here for awhile ok?", she kiss his temple and run out

On her way, she saw Hyunbin. "Hyunbin-a!!",

"Yesul!", the two path came across

"I was about to visit you.. What happen?', he hold her by shoulder

"Dad was hospitalized and mom was crying as she was calling at me.. Hyunbin, i need to go there the soonest.. Can you please spare time to look after Daehan?",

"Sorry yesul-a. but i cant help you right now. I have some rounds to do... If only i can help you..", he apologized to her

"No, it's ok, i understand.... I have to go...", she left and gone to Jaekyung's office.

She is desperate right now..... she needs to ask her a favor to be with his son..

"Jaekyung-a!!", she called her with puffy eyes

"Why are you crying??", Jaekyung walk near to her and  cupped her face

"I need your help...", she cried

"What is it? you can tell me, were friends right? What's wrong?",

"My father got hospitalized and he is still unconscious...."

"im sorry to hear that...",

"I think i need to go home and visit them... im afraid mom cant handle this alone.. Im asking for your help , if i can possibly go with Daehan...", she said in between of her cry.
"Yesul-a, im afraid Daehan cant handle the long trip, it may tire him and may worsen since nobody can assist you there.. But i can help you in a way, I can look after Daehan till you came back..", she suggested

"Thank you.. Jaekyung-a... thank you.. Just for today...", she hugged her in gratitude

She patted her back to calm her from crying.. "Dont worry about it Yesul-a. I am here... Now go! The trip is long..", she gave her a squeeze on her shoulder .

After she  hand-over Daehan to Jaekyung's care, she put on her bag and immediately left. All her thought is filled with his dad and her mom. The clouds even cried for her, it was raining hard, as she was waiting for taxi, her bag starts to get wet.
"Please not now... Rain please go away..", she whispered as the wind blew more stronger

"You should bring your umbrella next time...", a man skidded near to her

"Take this..", he offered the umbrella, he was wearing a navy blue tux with a silver necktie.

She just look at him, giving no reponse, the next thing, he pulled her right hand and handover the umbrella on her palm and left without saying a word.

"Thank you..", she mumbled as she watched him gone.

 

Jongin's POV

  I decided to leave the office and visit Jaekyung,  I already told my secretary to direct all the calls to Taemin, (VPres and BFF of mine), I was concern with her health since she did not eat breakfast. After i made some take out from a restaurant, the rain poured out harder. When i arrive at the hospital entrance, i saw this woman again, the woman at the elevator ,waiting for something , her bag and shoes is getting wet already. She then started talking to herself telling the rain to go away.

"You should bring your umbrella next time...",  i commented as i walk near her, "Take this..", but she just looking at me, with half open mouth

I got impatient ,so i grabbed her hand and gave it.

I knock to her office twice, the knob turn and the door opened.

"Jongin, what are you doing here..", she said in surprise

I came in casually,  "You left early and you didnt eat breakfast, so i came with this..", i put the paperbag on her table

"And your not even answering my calls and texts..", i said in annoyance

'It's an emergency, Luhan called me 4 in the morning for an operation so i left after an hour, but your not back yet..  Im sorry ok?', she pulled my hands and put it on her waist.

"Just tell me your whereabouts ok? I dont want asking ahjumma instead..and I love you missy..", i replied and kissed her cheek, forehead and then to her lips.

"I will...and i love you too Jongin...", she mimics my kisses

"I love you more, so much that i want to go home, and cuddle and make love all day..", which earn me a spank on my arm.

A flush from the toilet disturbed our moment, when a little boy came out the comfort room.

"Your finish? Come here, i want to introduce to my fiance..', Jaekyung pulled the young boy. i got flustered since he looks like me when i was younger.

"You look like him right?..", Jaekyung commented
"This is Daehan, one of my patient.... Daehan, this is Jongin hyung..he's my boyfriend and soon to be husband...", the little boy greeted courteously. "Annyeong hyung! My name is Daehan!!! I hope we can be friends!!", and he run up to me and hug my waist which i was caught offguard .

 " Her mom needs to go somewhere, its an emergency so i decided to look after him for awhile...",

I ruffle his hair and sit down in his level, "Do you want to play??", and he eagerly nodded and jump.

"Then let's go!", I carried him on my arms

"seonsaengnim!! I want to play with hyung!", the boy beamed at Jaekyung

"You will get tired Daehan-a., Do you want to get injected again?", daehan expression becomes sad as her doctor dont approve the play thing. I glance at Jaekyung, "Dont used your puppy eyes to me Jongin...",  she walk to her table and opened the boxes.

"Were just going to play babe, then eat and maybe we can go to the mall..", i persuade

"He shouldnt tire up himself Jongin, no strenous activity  and it includes playing", she insisted as she was prioritizing his patient's health.

I look at Daehan with a slight pout and so he did, "Hyung, let just go in my room and watch tv, play rubix, sleep or eat and then sit the whole day..", he mumbled with a hint of sadness, well in a more obvious gain sympathy-pity way to her stone hearted doctor.

I glance at Jaekyung who were eating , acting like she's not listening at all but seconds later, she brought down the utensils.

"Daehan-a, can you ask your hyung, if he's not busy?",she ask,  Daehan look at me

"Daehan-a, tell your seonsaengnim, i am free..",

Daehan squirmed and run to Jaekyung, "Seonsaengnim..", he used his aegyo to plead her, i laugh as she was biting her lip stopping herself to hug this cute boy.

"Fine! Aigoo! You always trick me with those eyes..", and she surrendered.
